Variant Ranger and Paladin

I am trying to find variant ranger and paladin classes that remove the spell casting abilities for the two classes. I know I saw them somewhere. I thought they were in one of my 3.5 books; maybe 'Unearthed Arcana' but I can't find them. Does anyone know where I can find them?

I don't remember where I got it from (it's possible it was homebrew, although back then we usually used RAW from somewhere published by WotC) but in 3.5 we used +1 combat feat at 4th level and every 4 levels there-after.

There was also a recent Kobold Quarterly with a spell-less Ranger for PF.

The Pathfinder APG has a spell-less variant option for the Ranger. I don't know if it has one for the Paladin.

If we are talking WoTC, Complete Champion has a spell-less version of each. Both of which replace spells with bonus feats.
