Quick question about Sidestep Secret

Greetings.

I was looking over the Oracle revelations and am a bit confused over Sidestep Secret. "Your preternatural reflexes and uncanny ability allow you to step out of danger at the last second." According to the APG you swap charisma for dexterity when it comes to AC and all saving throws.

So when you are flatfooted with this ability do you lose the charisma bonus to ac like you would with dexterity?

Yes

The "swap ability score" things typically also swap all the baggage of the other score including things like Max Dex from Armor becoming Max Cha.

Sorry for the thread necro but I have a similar question about sidestep secret and cant find the specific answer.

This was mentioned to me awhile back, take a dip in lore oracle so I can apply my Cha bonus to AC as a paladin. But as I read the revelation, I still would only get +1 AC from Sidestep secret from my +5 cha bonus since I have +2 Full plate on which is a 1 maximum Dex AC bonus. My touch AC bonus would go up but otherwise am I right thinking that its not really worthwhile to take a dip in oracle at this point?

If you are using a full plate, yeah you won't benefit much from sidestep secret. Mithral Breastplate or Mithral chainshirt would be easy way to fix that tho.
