Why are barrier spells based on lines? Lines have to start adjacent to the caster's space. That severely limits a caster's ability to use it effectively.
Was this just an oversight?
Either rewrite the entry on lines to account for barriers having a little more freedom, or else make it so barrier power words aren't dependent on lines to begin with.
