Equivalents to Augment Summoning in Ultimate Magic

Pathfinder First Edition General Discussion

I think it's about time we got some for the rest of the schools. The ones in the APG were rather lackluster, but let's try and make some appealing ones which spellcasters will want. With Ultimate Magic well under way, I'd love to squeeze some of these in.

Enhanced Shapeshifting

Prerequisite: Spell Focus (transmutation).

Benefit: Every time to shapeshift into a creature with one of your spells, you gain an additional +2 size bonus to your Strength, Dexterity and Constitution for the duration of the spell.

This would make shapeshifting Transmuters a lot more viable, as well as alchemists and other spellcasters that want to transform. Limiting this to spells would ensure that Druids wouldn't become too overpowered.

Manipulation Expertise

Prerequisite: Spell Focus (enchantment).

Whenever you cast an enchantment spell that is limited to a certain HD, you may add half your character level to the HD limit, to a maximum of your character level.

This would allow spells such as Sleep and Deep slumber to remain useful while not becoming too powerful. A HD limit of 14 for Sleep and 20 for Deep Slumber at 20th level would surely not be gamebreaking.

Powerful Dispelling

Prerequisite: Spell Focus (abjuration).

Whenever you cast an abjuration spell to end an ongoing spell or to counter another spellcaster's spell, you gain a +4 bonus to your caster level check.

Make dispelling more reliable for those that specialize in it!

Let's hear some more, I'm excited to see what you guys can come up with for Divination and Necromancy.

I came up with something for necromancy, but I'm stumped on what divination could get that isn't limited to scrying.

Resilient Death

Prerequisite: Spell Focus (necromancy).

Any undead creature acting under your control receives +4 channel resistance.

Intuitive Detection
Prerequisites Spell Focus (divination)
All divination spells with a fixed range and Cone-shaped area cast by you have their area changed to circle emanating from you.
When you cast any divination spell you are considered to be concentrating for one round already for the purpose of information granted.

Elusive Illusions

Prerequisites: Spell Focus (illusion)

Each time you successfully cast an Illusion spell, choose one of the following additional effect:
- your shape is blurred for one round (as per the blur spell)
- your shape is blurred for one round (as per the mirror image spell - I like this one, it's like Matrix again)
- the spell you just cast involved the illusion of other gestures, making it more difficult to identify
- the spell you just cast involved the illusion of other gestures, making it appear as if you cast another spell you know
- the spell effect is mixed with visible and audible components, making it appear as another spell effect
- the spell effect is mixed with visible and audible components, making it appear as if another target has been chosen

Bold Blaster of Boom... er, Doom

Prereqs: Spell Focus (evocation)

When you cast an evocation spell modified by a metamagic feat or several, the total spell level modifier is lowered by one.

This doesn't stack with similar effects from the Arcane Sorcerer Bloodline or the Universal School of Wizardry.

I'd like to point out that Augment Summoning only buffs a specific type of Conjuration spells. So I'd say that any suggestion for a school that has a subtype should be focused on one of the subtypes, and any feat that applies to a school that doesn't have subschools should be weaker than one that applies to a specific school.

Perhaps this is too powerful due to the -2 to Saves, but...

Nagging Fear
Requires: Spell Focus (Illusion)

Anytime the target of your single target Phantasm spell succeeds in their saving throw, they are still Shaken for 1d4 rounds.
