Sorry guys. Just haven't had much time lately. I will be moving next week, but we will be continuing the adventure. I will try to get something up today.

No worries! I'm tied up with Christmas madness at the in-laws, so my posting for the next several days will be sporadic at best. Good luck with the move, and everyone have a happy holiday!

Bump...back to our regularly scheduled adventure program?

Moving and holidays got our family sick with the flu. Should be gaining back momentum. Working on a post. Sorry all.

Been there! Hope everyone gets well soon. We'll be here!

Male Human Fey Blooded Sorcerer / 1

'tis the season for ailments. And moving is never fun. No problem. I've also been insanely busy for other reasons.

Spoiler:
C8 Javelin 1d20 ⇒ 8 Damage 1d6 + 1 ⇒ (4) + 1 = 5
C10 Javelin 1d20 ⇒ 11 Damage 1d6 + 1 ⇒ (5) + 1 = 6

Initiatives:
Enemies 1d20 - 1 ⇒ (9) - 1 = 8
Valletin 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (16) + 2 = 18
Korganna 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (4) + 3 = 7
Harold 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (17) + 2 = 19
Murro 1d20 ⇒ 14
Gandel 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (5) + 6 = 11

Initiatives:
Harold 19
Valletin 18
Murro 14
Gandel 11
Enemies 8
Korganna 7

As Korganna kicks open the door, two javelins bounce off the wall around the doorway. As you peer through the door, you see two reptilian creatures retrieving clubs from the belts and hissing at you loudly.

Male Elf Occultist(Battle Host) 1 (HP 8/8) (AC 19/16/13) (CMD 17) (Fort +2, Ref +6, Will +2) (Init +8) (Perception +6)

Seeing two potential targets, Harold rushes into the room (Moving to D11), and swings at one of the creatures...

MW Greatsword: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (16) + 6 = 22, for 2d6 + 9 ⇒ (2, 4) + 9 = 15 slashing damage.

Just a heads-up, I will be on the road for the next 72 hours, so my ability to post may be limited. Feel free to DMPC me if necessary :-)

Valletin casts virtue on Korganna

Male Human Fey Blooded Sorcerer / 1

Murro frowns at the repulsive creatures attacking from the other room. "This place is just filled with rabid beasts," he mutters as he lifts his arm, squinting in the dim light. "If one of you could draw them nearer, that would be a help."

Murro is readying an action to fire a Ray of Frost at one of the creatures as soon as it steps within 30' of him.
Ranged Touch Attack (Ray of Frost): 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (14) + 1 = 15
Damage: 1d3 + 1 ⇒ (3) + 1 = 4

WI! kounye a nou fè batay

Korganna leaps to attack (hoping no one gets in her way) D8, if it's still there, otherwise move to where the rear on is.

Charge 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (19) + 5 = 24
Crit? 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (2) + 5 = 7 No..=(

Damage 1d10 + 3 ⇒ (9) + 3 = 12

I love google translate, I'm using Haitian creole as abyssal, no slight to the language, just neat to have it mean something real

Gandel ducks into the room behind Harold, and fires his crossbow at the other reptilian creature.

Move action to square G-10. Standard action to fire crossbow at creature in square C-8.

Attack: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (3) + 5 = 8
Damage: 1d6 ⇒ 4

Seeing two potential targets, Harold rushes into the room and swings at one of the creatures creating a large gash in its stomach. The lizard man then buckles over in pain and soon passes out dying.

Valletin recites a prayer to Abadar and touching Korganna to give her staying power in battle.

Gandel ducks into the room behind Harold, and fires his crossbow at the other reptilian creature, missing and hitting the wall beyond.

Seeing the other guard laying on the floor in a pool of blood, the other lizardman charges Harold, at that moment Murro launches a ray of ice at the creature hitting it in the shoulder and making it swing wildly over Harold’s head.

Korganna leaps to attack, chopping the enemy down before they could swing their club again.

Murro, I moved you up into the doorway so you could get a shot before Korganna destroyed it.

Battle over. 160xp a piece.

Spoiler:
Enemy Att 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (12) + 4 = 16 Dam 1d6 + 1 ⇒ (4) + 1 = 5

Male Elf Occultist(Battle Host) 1 (HP 8/8) (AC 19/16/13) (CMD 17) (Fort +2, Ref +6, Will +2) (Init +8) (Perception +6)

Harold nods in satisfaction, as he considers how efficiently the group works in combat, before conducting a thorough search of the bodies, and the room.

Take 20 = Perception 22.

"Gandel, it would probably be a good idea if you had a look around as well. I know you have a sharp pair of eyes in your head!"

"Right-o, m'lord!" Gandel replies enthusiastically before taking a careful look around the room.

Take 20 = Perception 26

Everyone can make an appraise check

Appraise DC 20

Spoiler:
In the hoard of rusted weapons and shields you pick out a masterwork silver dagger, a masterwork light steel shield emblazoned with a leaping dolphin, and a banner depicting a bird made of living flame.

"Èske gen pesonn pa fò ase figi m'?"

Abyssal:
Is there no one strong enough to face me?

1d20 + 1 ⇒ (17) + 1 = 18

As she comes down off of her battle rush, she says. "So much rusted junk. Maybe some of it can be cleaned up and given to peasants."

Appraise check: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (17) + 2 = 19

EDIT: So close!

Male Elf Occultist(Battle Host) 1 (HP 8/8) (AC 19/16/13) (CMD 17) (Fort +2, Ref +6, Will +2) (Init +8) (Perception +6)

Assuming that this is fine with the GM...

Harold does his best to assist Gandel with appraising the value of the items in the room, attempting to find the useful items, if any, amongst all the dross...

Appraise check, assist: 1d20 ⇒ 18.

That is fine. Where to next? There are two doors in the room in accordance with the map.

Male Elf Occultist(Battle Host) 1 (HP 8/8) (AC 19/16/13) (CMD 17) (Fort +2, Ref +6, Will +2) (Init +8) (Perception +6)

How about the NE door? Harold will, however, wait patiently for Gandel to check both doors for traps first, before standing aside to let 'door-buster' Korganna at them ;-)

[b]"You want easy door open or hard door open?"[b]

Male Elf Occultist(Battle Host) 1 (HP 8/8) (AC 19/16/13) (CMD 17) (Fort +2, Ref +6, Will +2) (Init +8) (Perception +6)

Harold regards Korganna carefully.

"How about you open it using the handle rather than bursting through it? Although really, I can hardly stop you if you choose to do it the other way... I just figure that breaking the architecture might alert hostiles elsewhere in this tower that something is amiss..."

Male Human Fey Blooded Sorcerer / 1

Murro nods in agreement with Harold. "Not to mention that since we're in a structure that's already in poor repair, what with collapsed ceilings and walls and the like, it probably isn't a good idea to risk causing further damage."

"That true, Korganna did say Korganna not destroy tower til after we done. Oh, Korganna know, you open door, Korganna rush through...That sound good?"

LOL and hopefully there will be floor on the other side...though that would be an hilarious death!

"Here now, gents - and lady," Gandel says with a bow toward Korganna. "Before we go openin' more doors, any of you want any of this jink?" Gandel asks, holding forth a masterwork silver dagger, a masterwork light steel shield emblazoned with a leaping dolphin, and a banner depicting a bird made of living flame.

"His Lordship an' me found these in that pile of junk over there. They look pretty sweet. Reckon any of 'em are magical?"

While the others look at the items, Gandel inspects the two doors.

Take 20 on Perception checks to search for traps? If so, total Perception of 27 for each door (includes rogue bonus of +1 for locating traps).

If no one else wants it, Gandel wouldn't mind having the dagger if he could wield it as an equivalent to a Small-sized shortsword.

Knowledge (local) For Banner DC 20

Spoiler:
The banner as belonging to the Band of the Phoenix, one of Absalom’s most famous hunting lodges during the Age of Blades. The banner is worth 100 gp but might be worth much more to a historian or collector

Neither door appears trapped or locked for that matter, but the one leading to the east is stuck.

Your use of the dagger is fine Gandel.

Knowledge (local): 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (10) + 6 = 16

Anyone want to Aid Another?

Male Elf Occultist(Battle Host) 1 (HP 8/8) (AC 19/16/13) (CMD 17) (Fort +2, Ref +6, Will +2) (Init +8) (Perception +6)

I would love to, but I am not sure that I can on Knowledge checks...
However, if the GM is willing to allow it, I will try...

Knowledge(Local): 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (12) + 1 = 13.

Male Human Fey Blooded Sorcerer / 1

Murro studies the items, snaps his fingers and looks again to see if they're magical.

Detect Magic on the three items.

Cairnlands Lorekeeper wrote:

"Hey there, Korgie-girl! Looks like this door might need a little nudge," Gandel calls out to Korganna, pointing at the door on the east wall.

Male Elf Occultist(Battle Host) 1 (HP 8/8) (AC 19/16/13) (CMD 17) (Fort +2, Ref +6, Will +2) (Init +8) (Perception +6)

Harold gives Gandel an alarmed look.

"Let's try the door that *isn't* stuck, for the moment..."

I'm going to say no on the Aid Another for Knowledge skills. You do recognize it as a banner dedicated to an old hunting lodge though, but you can't put your finger on exactly which.

Murro

Spoiler:
None of the items register as magical.

Male Human Fey Blooded Sorcerer / 1

Murro studies the objects that Gandel points out and grunts in disappointment. "They're ordinary," he says dismissively.

Sorry for my absence over the weekend, got sick on Friday, plus my wife's away, so taking care of the kids by myself currently.

"So the stuck door or the other door you want Korganna to open?

Male Elf Occultist(Battle Host) 1 (HP 8/8) (AC 19/16/13) (CMD 17) (Fort +2, Ref +6, Will +2) (Init +8) (Perception +6)

Harold shrugs.

"If the door is stuck, nothing is liable to come through it in a hurry, so I would vote for going for the non-stuck door (to the NE) first."

male human Inquisitor lv2

"I agree with Harold"

What's up guys? Everything alright?

Male Human Fey Blooded Sorcerer / 1

I think we're waiting to see the result of Korganna opening the unstuck door.

If that's the case, can everyone confirm that. It seemed to me a little undecided.

Male Elf Occultist(Battle Host) 1 (HP 8/8) (AC 19/16/13) (CMD 17) (Fort +2, Ref +6, Will +2) (Init +8) (Perception +6)

That is what I am waiting for :-)

male human Inquisitor lv2

I'm waiting for a door to open

When Korganna opens the door to the northern room.

Judging from the shelves lining the walls, this darkened room might once have been a storeroom, though its contents have long since succumbed to the passage of time. A crack in the northern wall has apparently let in some rainwater, which has collected in a large puddle on the floor.

Male Elf Occultist(Battle Host) 1 (HP 8/8) (AC 19/16/13) (CMD 17) (Fort +2, Ref +6, Will +2) (Init +8) (Perception +6)

Well, a search is still probably in order...

"Gandel, old chap, if you would care to do the honors...?"

It is no longer as dark as it used to be - Harold has an Ioun Torch orbiting his head, which is providing a fair amount of illumination :-)

Gandel wrote:

Cairnlands Lorekeeper wrote:

Both doors were already checked.

Male Elf Occultist(Battle Host) 1 (HP 8/8) (AC 19/16/13) (CMD 17) (Fort +2, Ref +6, Will +2) (Init +8) (Perception +6)

I actually meant searching the room. I suggested Gandel, because he is a lot better at searching than I am, but I will do it anyway...

Cautiously moving into the NE room, Harold begins a thorough search.

Take 20 Perception = 22.

Well Korganna would have opened the stuck door, or charged through the other door that someone else opened. But since nothing happened, we're good.

Gandel follows Korganna and Harold into the room and searches the room as well.

Take 20 Perception = 26; 27 to locate traps

As you enter the room, a small lizard like creature emerges from the rubble staring at you curiously. In it's excitement, the lizard lets out a quick charge of electricity at Harold.

Reflex save please Harold, DC 12 for half damage. 5 non-lethal damage if fail. The creature is 5 feet in front of Harold. I can have a map up in a little bit if necessary.

Spoiler:
Initiatives:
Valletin 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (20) + 2 = 22
Korganna 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (13) + 3 = 16
Harold 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (20) + 2 = 22
Murro 1d20 ⇒ 14
Gandel 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (8) + 6 = 14
Lizard 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (5) + 6 = 11
Shock 1d8 ⇒ 5

Initiatives:
Harold 22
Valletin 22
Korganna 16
Gandel 14
Murro 14
Lizard 11

Male Elf Occultist(Battle Host) 1 (HP 8/8) (AC 19/16/13) (CMD 17) (Fort +2, Ref +6, Will +2) (Init +8) (Perception +6)

Reflex: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (1) + 2 = 3.

Harold cries out in pain as the bolt of electricity catches him completely by surprise. A tracery of electricity arcs from his hand to the hilt of his weapon as he draws it, 5' steps, and swings at the strange lizard.

"What in the Nine Hells is that thing!"

MW Greatsword: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (13) + 6 = 19, for 2d6 + 9 ⇒ (2, 5) + 9 = 16 Slashing damage.
