Kobold Witch

Advice

as the title says im looking to make a kobold witch. sub-optimal sure but it just seems fun as hell. i dont know how to go about doing it so i turn to you oh wise ones help this poor soul make his cackling kobold work.

i know i wont be the the most astounding combatant but i was looking to use hexes to debuff/buff and hopefully augment some damage with the spells thats about all i have planned. sorry if theres bad grammar and punctuation thanks in advance!

May I ask what we have to work with, like point buy(or stats rolled) and level?

Shadow Lodge

You might want to consider using the alternate favored class bonus from Purple Duck's Monstrous Races. Treat the kobold’s level as +1/2 higher for the purpose of determining the effects of the witch’s hex ability.

ah yeah forgot about specifics its 25point buy and the 3 corebooks.i dont know if it matters but we are converting the sundark goggles from 3.5 the ones that get rid of light sensitivity

i hate to do it but ill bump this thread, if it dies it dies. please oh wise board gurus help a poor man out

If you're getting rid of Light-sensitivity, then the Kobold would be pretty much the same as building a Wizard, i'd think, though you'd grab Save or Suck spells instead of Direct Damage spells.

but i can't remember the normal Kobold stats, since I made my own Kobold PC template since the standard one isn't very appealing, nor does it make any sense, i remember it had -2 con, but everything i know about Kobolds says they're a Hardy race. /shrug.

After the first 2-3 levels, Kobolds bad stats end up not really mattering, IME (played an all-Kobold game to level 9). So yeah, build like a Wizzy- Focus on INT, choose spells carefully, and PROTECT YOUR FAMILIAR. The extra base land speed, small size, and dark vision make for a very effective "first strike" caster- get in lots of fogs, clouds, tentacles, etc early to confuse/confound the mass of your foes, THEN focus on the BBEGs with hexes and debuffs while the warriors hack him to bits. Muwahahaha!!!
