"Sounds good to me. I believe that 'nothing' is an acceptable dress code at the club. Although they do prefer that you at least wear jewelry." Danny says straight-faced.
At David's 'look' Danny hastily turns towards Emily.
"Right! So, the club is that way." Danny says, pointing the way for Emily.
"And I don't know where the fences are. But if this club turns into a dead end I should be able to find out where to make contact with them tomorrow. IF this fork is half as much trouble as Nathanial is afraid it might be, we should probably find it before tomorrow night." Danny adds seriously.

Aximeus |

"It is way to cold for even late October isnt it? Freaky weather isnt it and wolves; is it normal to hear wolves in the city? I aint been here but a spec of time; so dont know what is usual. Halloween tomorrow, sometimes called Hell Night. Mumbo Jumbo says the dead are closer this time of year; like maybe one of the gates to the underworld is opened if you believe in that stuff. My Aunt did; said Virgil had it mostly right. Maybe we should find a local holy man or shaman that is tuned in; there might be some local prophesy or some such or curse or past event or the like. I know in the Second War; some of the generals used the bible to find passes and ferret out secrets to help in battle plans; so might be an idea."
Thinks to himself looking out the van window as we go somewhere watching to see if we are being followed.
"Rich people collect stuff, buy expensive one of a kind items, if one of these rich people, like those at the museum have some item in there private collection and are having one of them High Society parties for Halloween, might be a likely time to encounter one or more groups of these bad guys; would be consistant with their tactics; cause fear and panic among the movers and shakers as well as get an item. I just remember seeing in National Geographic that many items are "on loan" from this or that rich guy. Youse with big brains probably already got a handle on it...."
goes back to looking out the window.

Emily Zhoa |

At the apparent lack of concern for the fae that have fallen to the ground, other than the trollcicles that is, the woman gives a shurg and stands. She looks about to those present and heads back to the van.
In the van, Emily cranks the heater and turns to the others, "That was too much fun." She shivers a bit.
She listens vaguely to the others for a moment as she sends out a text to Grandmother "What is Dunn Bull of Cooley? Winter fae involved. Chat soon. ~ EM
"Cubing it is... She will follow Danny's instructions.

Stress that does not become a 'consequence' is 'healed' at the end of a scene. I don't think anyone took a consequence; so, while they got 'nipped' by the frost, it won't be something that will interfere in the next scene and everyone will have all their stress boxes empty again.
Tracking stress for such a thing as the frost is a good reminder if you want to keep playing in the cold as it will start to fill up boxes and build consequences. Also, not everyone is as hardy as players or could have a poor endurance roll and end up 'nipped' which happened to some of the fae which were 'hauled' off to the Nevernever for 'treatment'

Aximeus |

Can you tune in the weather channel on the radio; would like to know what to expect if possible. If we expect to get more cold used as a weapon we should probably take some precautions. So none of you have any idea who uses weaponized cold devices; that sure was weird; but fog; i wouldnt expect fog; can you tune the weather channel in? Is there a gage on this van for current temperature outside; some of these newfangeled ones have them per the commercials; would like to know if this cold is local or not. Thanks.

Nathanial Halsey |

((Is Nathanial with us?))
Still here. Just been distracted lately.
"That was too much fun."
For his part, Nathanial just holds his coat tight around him. "We could have died if the wolves were a hair less precise. If you call that a good time, I don't want to see a bad day."
"Axemeus is right about the Dunn Bull. Most magicians consider the tale symbolic of the fighting between the Winter and Summer Courts. Some say that the Dunn Bull's devouring of it's rival represents a major shift of power between the two courts. This shift is typically placed around the end of the Ice Age. If the Winter Court has found a lead to shifting power in their favor, well, things are going to get much colder."
"Yes, let's investigate this club. The hair will be safe for a while longer, at least."

Danny Kaye |

Huzzah! The group is going to the Toy Box on Devil's Night. Some how the stars have aligned in the GMing world! <evil GM laughter ensues> I'll get this encounter started later tonight when I have time to write the starting scene.
Huzzah! When the GM starts 'Evil Cackling' (tm), it's usually time for the PC's to start wearing their depends! ;P

can I get an update on who is with who; I think Emily, Danny and I are in the van; is anyone else; are we all together?
-------
Can I be sitting shotgun in the car? easier on a big mans legs usually hehe.
------
Aximeaus takes his sheild off his back and sets it on the floor in front of him to be more comfortable; obviously modern vehicles were not made for armored people; but he is ready for Halloween. He is wearing his coat; so you dont see much of his armor; though it looks a bit like Lorica Segmentum; his sheild on the other hand is on the floor and is very very intricate; let me know if you look at it and I will post a description.
"Emily, do you happen to have one of those big black trashbags in this car; if not step by a convience store so I can pick one up ok?"

Smerg |

Oh, don't worry, it won't be anything bad, it's just a GM doesn't often have players going into such 'off the main' places. Well, unless you are LARPing Vampire hehe.
Aximeaus, no problem getting garbage bags and I'm going to consider everyone is here unless they specify otherwise and tell me what they are doing.
Driving through Toronto on Devil's Night you see the city is in full swing as it is both an 'unofficial' warm up to Halloween and it is Saturday Night.
Many clubs are celebrating early with Halloween Events and the costumes are just as innovative as they were at the Royal Ontario Museum. The early arrival of Winter has several people trying to cover up with heavier coats but there are still plenty of people rushing to avoid shivering on corners.
You start to pull up to the Toy Box and find it is amazingly subdued.
Unlike most people arriving at other clubs, the people arriving here appear to be dressed in regular clothing and not wearing make-up. Most people do have various boxes and bags with them. Even the title of the place is not in loud neon and lights like most clubs.
It is clearly doing everything to not advertise what it is and to attract curb side attention.
The only real indication that this is a club is a bouncer standing in a coat by the door and checking people's ID as they come to the door.
Opposite to the bouncer on the brick is a brass plaque with some writing but you are too far away still to read the writing.

David Monroe, Savvy Retired Cop |

As usual, David is too old for some place like this. He simply sets his face into its usual glower and steps out of the car, his long coat swinging freely until he buttons it up tight. "Look, I'm not going to enjoy this, so let's just get in there and get this over with. Are we supposed to bring our own 'toys'? Ugh."

Smerg |

Just a run down on basics of skill rolls to get inside the club.
Convincing the Bouncer to let you in requires Presence, Athletics, or Strength (basically having the Bouncer feel you belong to the place with Presence being social and Athletics and Strength covering physical abilities which can be used as a social asset here.) You need to only choose 1 to roll and need a 1 or higher to get in.
I'm invoking Munroe's high concept of cop and he'll take a -2 to his roll to get in unless he can make a Deceipt roll of 2 or higher to cover up that he is cop. Bouncer has a hatred for police.
People can also choose to make and Investigation or Lore check at the door. Let me know which you choose use.
The cost to get in the club counts as a Resources 1 test per person to have the hard cash on hand to pay the club membership fee. A person that makes a Resources 2 can cover the cost for the four of you.

Danny Kaye |

Emily turns the van off and pockets the keys. She turns back to Monroe, "Well, no one side liking any of this was part of what we do. I just hope that is warm in there."
She looks to the others and asks, [b] "Whom are we seeking out here?"
"Getting to laugh at people who are obviously crazier than you. What's not to like?!?" Danny quips as he hops out of the van and swiftly fastens up his own heavy leather cycle jacket against the sudden rush of cold. He looks longingly at the warm van as Emily locks it up.
Danny shrugs at Emily's question, his coat riding up and down like a suit of armor at the motion.
"We're just going to check out the 'displays'. I hear that sometimes they let club members use some of the house 'toys', if the donations are large enough. If the rumors are right, this place might have picked up the fork. It certainly fits the theme. If true, I suppose it's too much to hope that it was strictly for decorative purposes?" Danny shudders, and it's not entirely from the cold.
Danny eyes the bouncer standing at the door. In the snow and cold, the stationary bouncer stands out among the pedestrians hurrying to get warm like a bulldog at a kitty convention.
"Oooo!" Danny says in a breathy, lisping voice. "I always wondered what happened to Donkey Kong!" Danny stares at the bouncer for another moment, then turns around to stifle his laughter, managing to limit it to coughing snorts.
"Ok, Ok, note to self. When inside, Shut up shut up shut up!" Danny Says in between coughing breaths.
"I know, I'm far too easy to entertain. Let's get inside, Before all my common sense freezes!"

David's been getting into places that crooks didn't want him to get into for years. The trick is simple command presence rather than a silver tongue or breaking in. He leans over to Danny. "You'd be pretty amazed how often someone will let you in if you just walk in like you're supposed to be there. Come on." David walks up to the bouncer, confident in his stride despite the terrible cold. "Got five for entry into the Box." He points to Nathaniel, who looks the type to carry cash instead of credit cards. "He's paying." Barely waiting for the bouncer's reply, he walks to the entrance and scans for clues, his practiced eye grabbing the proper details instead of getting distracted by the debauchery. Mostly.
Investigation (Quick Eye) 4d3 - 3 ⇒ (1, 2, 2, 1) - 3 = 3

Danny Kaye |

Danny nods to David, and lets the big guy take the lead.
Danny watches Davids body language, genuinely curious in seeing how the big guy handles situations like this when he's probably more used to letting the badge do the talking. His approach is fine, but Danny gets the impression that David might have let a little too much 'authority' show through his 'I belong here' act. Unfortunately to bouncers in general, 'authority' equals 'cop'. Before the bouncer can react, Danny steps forward without thinking.
Prescence 4d3 - 5 ⇒ (2, 1, 3, 1) - 5 = 2
Danny steps up behind David. He looks the bouncer up and down with no expression. He tilts his head towards David's back ever so slightly, and rolls his eyes as if in exasperation. He winks at the bouncer without changing expression.
'Less is more. Don't over-do it Danny-Boy! Let him make his own conclusions.' Danny tells himself over and over. It is a mantra that has become second nature over the years.
Resources: 4d3 - 7 ⇒ (3, 3, 2, 1) - 7 = 2
Danny pats his pockets, a look of panic crossing his face momentarily. Then he checks his outside cargo pocket on the antique motorcycle jacket. He raises his eyebrows in unfeigned surprise at the small wad of bills he pulls out.
"Oh. That's where I put that last spring." He murmurs.
"I got it." He says aloud, peeling off a few bills and handing them to the bouncer. He steps to the side to let the others get closer to the door, and the promise of warmth.
As the others step forward, Danny takes a slow, deep breath, and relaxes, trying to let his 'Spooky Sense' see if it can pick anything up.
Lore: 4d3 - 7 ⇒ (2, 2, 1, 2) - 7 = 0
But Danny can't tell if his shivering is from the cold, or if he's feeling something, else,...

Emily Zhoa |

The woman nods to Danny as they step out of the van. "Good to know. Thank you." She takes in several deep breaths and follows along after several of the boys.
Emily follows behind Danny. She watches Monroe enter. She checks out what is written out what is on the plaque. ((Investigation 4d3 - 7 ⇒ (1, 2, 3, 3) - 7 = 2))
As Danny flips out the cash, "Thank you, again." She flashes a smile at the large bouncer as she follows the young man into the establishment. (( Athletics 4d3 - 4 ⇒ (3, 3, 3, 2) - 4 = 7))
"Lets see what the Toy Box has to offer..." The woman shakes her head and thinks that that is wrong in so many different ways.

Nathanial Halsey |

Nathanial follows closely behind Danny, trying his hardest to look like he belongs there and not like a crazy person who would rather not be in a den of pain. Even as he walks up, he still scans the club for any sort of mystic danger.

The Bouncer seeing Munroe can see clear as day that he has the swagger and look of a cop. The Bouncer is preparing to use his fist to jerk Munroe to the curve when Danny steps in.
It is Emily though that steals the show. She struts her self and the Bouncer for several moments can only focus on her as Danny pads his hand full of bills.
'Sure, go right ahead.'
Walking in you pass the brass plaque that reads, 'This is not a toy store. This is an adult club. Persons under 18 are not allowed.'
You both can spot a pair of small black plastic hemispheres to the left and right of the door. They obviously contain some sort of remote monitoring equipment for watching the street and people coming into the building. The pair are likely used to avoid people trying to avoid being captured by one of the cameras.
Munroe, you get close enough to the Bouncer to notice that his eyes are slightly dilated. You're pretty sure that he is on something and wouldn't be surprised that if he was run in that he would test positive for some sort of narcotic or amphetamine.
You both also notice that he has a tattoo on his wrist but his heavy fall coat and shirt sleeve make it hard to spot anything more then the presence of ink on his right wrist.
Florence Blackbird had done a few reports on this place. She had described the place as indicative of this side of town. The owners of the club said that it was a miss representation because there is no link between the club and any sex trade in Toronto.
You are pretty sure that you have heard 'talk' from some of the fae mentioning the Toy Box but you can't recall what they might have said.
You are fairly sure that the Bouncer's aura has been weakened by something. You think it might be do to something having recently fed upon him in the last week.
You are also fairly sure that the symbols around the door, carefully disguised into the general wood work design suggest that this is a safe haven for the White Court.
It would not surprise you to find at least a few Thralls working inside the club if not a full vampire or two.

Normally, Aximeus is a bit low on funds but being the first part of the weekend with pay on Friday and a few extra dollars paid after the disaster at the ROM as compensation and to keep tongues from talking to the media, he finds that he has more than enough money to show that he has wad of flash.
The Bouncer barely notes the armour as he looks upon a God coming into the club. Emily was certainly in the top five women to be at the club this night but Aximeus is the Alpha male. His presence, strength, and athletics combined with Emily's presence have the group bumped up to the VIP lounge with personal escorts and private change rooms.
Word spreads as fast as thumbs can punch keys and phones can snap shots of the legendary presences among the club.
You find that suddenly, the bar is all open as anyone who is anyone is offering to buy you and your friends drinks.

Danny Kaye |

Danny's head spins as the tone of both the bouncer and everyone else who looks their way changes suddenly. He is used to being the center of attention, (whether by choice or happy accident), but swiftly finds himself relegated to 'escort' by Emily's performance and the sheer power of the presence of Aximeus.
"Showoffs." He mutters with a smirk as he enters with the rest.
He looks around the room, trying not to let his eyes linger on any one place TOO long, for fear of what he might see.

Aximeus |

"Psst, Danny, I aint never been no place like this, not like my usual gin joints <shifts uncomfortably> uhm; help a brother out if we get in a tight spot; we're in; so what next? Am glad i combed my hair, but I aint the most social guy around.

Emily Zhoa |

Emily slides up to Danny and hangs off his arm for a moment "We just know how to work what we have. Do not hate us because we are beautiful." She laughs in a playful manner and kisses Danny on the cheek. She then leans in close and whispers in a reassuring manner, "You still know how to play the crowds better then most."
After several minutes the woman slides over to Aximeus and hangs off the man's arm. "Interesting place. Not what I am into, that is for sure. We are hear to see if we can find out if the fork is here. Seems we have made quite the impression... lets use it."
Emily will call over a waitress and puts to the woman, "The big guy and I are interested in seeing what the house has to offer for some pain..." she lets it draw out a few moments and finishes with, "And pleasures."
She sips her drink before asking, "Would it be possible to have a look to see what might be our fancy this evening?"

Danny Kaye |

Danny winks at Emily to show that he was kidding. Mostly.
He whispers back to her and Aximeus.
"Interesting is a polite term for the place. There's a reason I turned down a gig in here. You guys got there attention. Keep it up. The rest of us will ask around while you take the direct approach."

David Monroe, Savvy Retired Cop |

David approaches the bar, striding up with confidence. To the bartender, he simply begins with the direct approach. "I'm working as a buyer looking for a specific piece called the Heretic's Fork. Our research has shown that they believe it's shown up here. Do you know who might be interested in selling it?"

Whispered to Emily, will provide a little cover for this quick whisper and back up her story by pulling her close, lifting her up and putting her on my shoulder; then put my hand open on her butt and lift her in the air very picturesque in my mind; hope she sits still, turn her about like a display (hopeing she gets a good look around); either she can take the cue and then slide down my arm like a pole or I will just catch her trying to look very suave about it. Should provide some scenery coverage for the others.
"what is White Court, looks like a flesh house where they slip guys a Mickey and roll em for goods and dump the body; I seen em world over; so watch what you imbibe. Sit still and balance"
<gives a level look around as if to say, if it is interesting, it will find him and anything worthwhile will present itself, but am looking for doors; windows; what the place is made of; the flooring; a quick military assessment of the goons in the place and the layout>
[I dont have a good concept of strength in the game; but I have seen this done so am thinking I am strong enough to lift her like this; if not; will just bite her ear and unlike WC Vamps; I won't give off any cold and my eyes wont turn grey]
"This is White Court territory. Be careful." After that quick warning, Nathanial splits off from the group, keeping an eye out for any mystical threats.
Lore: 4d3-3

Smerg |

It is a Lore 3 roll to know what the 'White Court' are as Nathaniel used the term. If you don't get a Lore 3 then you have no real clue an will likely figure it is some sort of term referring to gangs or possibly a particular type of bondage. It is a Lore 5 roll to have 'real' knowledge of White Court families and what makes them different from other vampires.
The Toy Box is 'typical' of its type. It has rooms for guests of the club to change (downstairs for the men and upstairs for the women; the VIP change rooms are also upstairs). Most people do change though many will go to the bar first and meet up with friends prior to deciding on how they are going to 'play'. This being 'Devil's Night' there are plenty of people featuring this in part of their costuming and entertainment.
The bar is a bit of a reverse of a standard bar. In a standard bar the dance floor is typically at a lower level and more central with tables for patrons around the edges.
This bar has tables for patrons arranged in small half rings around a variety of raised dais around the edges of the room. There is also a main stage at the one end of the bar. The side stages can be rented by the hour to give demonstrations. The main stage is used for both demonstrations and entertainment. Event cards at the patron tables list acts, themes, and even 'education' nights for beginners, intermediate, and advanced.
Just before the main bar, there is a shop with a variety of items for sale. The items range from costumes to tools of the trade.
Inside the bar there are people of all age ranges. While there are more people in the twenties and thirties, you can see people into their sixties and seventies are present, too. Body type is also not a limitation and you see some things that should have more then a bit of leather covering them.
The acts range from what you might expect to a variety of things you would not expect. There is plenty of flogging, bondage, and binding, along a large variety of items that look like they were taken from a hardware store or a kitchen like graters and sandpaper. There are even a few usages of neon candles and body paints.
The VIP lounge is accessed from the upstairs. It has a variety of spots on the wall that look capable of attaching people along with plush furniture. The VIP lounge looks out over the main bar with a good view of the main stage.

The woman smiles and says, 'Certainly. Would you like a top or a bottom to escort you? Here is our card with their rates. They are all licensed and have their credentials listed next to their names. We have a selection of themed rooms complete with items. You can see the price list here. For insurance reasons, all our rooms are monitored when it use and have someone trained in CPR standing ready to provide emergency aid if needed. Will you be paying with cash or credit card?'
-----------------------
Danny make an Empathy or Rapport check to see what you can find out as you ask around.
-----------------------
Munroe, the bartender responds with 'Sure, I know a guy that carries that sort of item. He makes all sorts of top quality items in his basement. I've got a pamphlet here showing his work. His website is listed on the back. Top quality work.'
You are fairly sure the bartender knows more but he's not going to come forward to someone just asking without some sort of encouragement. The couple of quarters and dimes in your pocket are not going to cover it.
You also notice that there is a flow of people from the bar downstairs upstairs. It appears to not be upstairs to the girls change rooms or the VIP lounge but to something on the third floor or higher. The people descending have a satisfied expression on their natures; so, it might be some sort of drug distribution going on up there.
---------------------------
You are fairly sure that the place is being used to 'tap' the clientele. While there is a certain amount of erotic enjoyment by the patrons to the various forms of entertainment, there is also plenty of pain and suffering.
You have heard that while some White Vampires feed on pleasure, there are others that feed on darker emotions like pain and suffering.
You have also noticed that there is a flow of patrons from the bar to the upper floors of the building. You have noticed that people returning while appearing to be satisfied are also 'dulled' of some of their 'glow'. You are fairly certain that any feeding occurs on an upper floor above the level of the VIP lounge.
----------------------
If Emily chooses then she can use Aximeus's lift to help make a spotting roll like Awareness or Empathy to try and spot interactions in the club.

Danny sips his drink, a jack and coke, and obviously enjoys the actual taste of Jack as opposed to the he off-brands he usually affords. Despite his personal feelings for the theme of the club, he soon begins to pick up on the rhythm of the bar and clientele. Once he realizes that he isn't going to be grabbed and hauled shrieking into a corner he relaxes a little, and starts to look in earnest at what's going on,...

Smerg |

You can see that the main club is low contact meet and greet room. It seems like many people have planned 'dates' to arrive here near a particular part of the bar.
There seems to be a 'hidden' grouping of people by tastes. They seem to bond around the different side stages and tables. You couldn't tell by looking at people coming in the bar which 'entertainments' appealed to which people but they clearly seem to know from the moment that they come in the door which of the sections they plan to head towards.
You can also tell there is still plenty of whispering and pictures being flashed towards the VIP area.
There are also small darkened semi circular domes in the corners of room. It is likely much of the area has a hidden camera system covering much of the rooms.
When the people meet up, they usually talk for a while and then head off out of the main bar area. Over time they return to the bar for another post play talk before leaving.
You notice that the people in the bar seem to have some sort of clique mechanism binding them together in groups.
You don't see much of the random 'hook-ups' or people standing in clumps looking for people to 'show-up'. The people seem to already have arranged dates.
They also seem to have a sorting system of different groups heading to different clumps of tables with different acts being shown. They rarely seem 'surprised' by the people that arrive.

Danny's Lore roll: 4d3 - 7 ⇒ (2, 2, 3, 3) - 7 = 3
"White Cour,...? Wait, HERE?" Danny hisses to Nathaniel's back as the mage heads off on his own. Danny instinctively puts one hand protectively over his throat, his wariness resurfacing and losing his 'feel' for the club, preventing him from getting more than a casual idea for the moods of the customers. He sits down on a plush couch to gather his wits and takes a large gulp of his drink. Something hard bounces on the back of his head, gently, and Danny jumps. Fortunately for his ego his small squeak is lost in the noise of the music, conversation and, activity, of the club.
Danny spins quickly to see a pair of (unoccupied) handcuffs on chains hanging on the wall behind the couch. Then he notices the various straps and such on the couch itself. He hastily vacates his seat and heads back to the edge of the VIP lounge overlooking the floor below. Danny takes a breath to recenter himself.
He cant help but grin at the sight of Axe lifting Emily over his head. He winks at a couple nearby clicking pics on their cell phones, and waggles his eyebrows at a girl who is looking his way. Her large, hormonal boyfriend quickly pulls her away, much to Danny's relief.
He takes advantage of the unusual position of NOT being the center of attention, and looks around at the floor below. He easily spots Nathaniel moving around the room, and David talking to a bartender.
Danny notices that with few exceptions, his group are the only ones moving singly. Everyone else seems to be in a pair or group, or moving swiftly towards one.
"Easy big guy, you don't want to drop her and break her early!" Danny says with a laugh to Axe and Emily to get their attention. When Axe lowers the lithe monster hunter to the ground once more, Danny moves in close enough to talk without being overheard.
"Do you guys see what I do? There are almost NO singles looking for a partner. Place this big, no matter how many regulars you have, you always have some people just visiting, looking for a hookup or a fling. Nobody is waiting around for others to show up. Everyone seems to already have dates. And the groups at the tables, they're not surprised when others join them. It's like they're already sorted out into what groups are doing what."
"Weird. If I didn't know better, I'd say it was High School all over again! All of the Cliques, the interaction and NON-interaction between groups. I know this isn't a 'typical' club, but it's, odd, to me."

David politely thanks the bartender for his assistance and heads over to Nathaniel. "Dr. Halsey, I believe we may have a lead on the Heretic's Fork, but I think the bartender might need some financial encouragement. Monoc can recoup any costs, but I need cash. I don't have any, as I really haven't gotten any idea what the exchange rate is. For the life o' me, I can't understand why the whole word ain't using U.S. dollars."

Nathanial shakes his head. "We can discuss monetary systems later. For now, we have questions to have answered." Nathanial hands over a wad of money before following Monroe back to the bar.

Sure, if Munroe is willing to pass over a Fate point to you. Monroe getting you to agree is advantage to him which makes it is Fate point to pay out if he wants. You can refuse to accept the Fate point and do it because you are working together. Your choice on how to handle it.

To Emily:
"so; what's the plan? I gots no idea, no telling where they might have the fork; me I'd try the kitchen."
"Heh. We need to see if they HAVE the fork first. And WHY they would want it in the first place. Like I said earlier, I suppose it would be too much to hope that they simply wanted it as a decorative piece? Doc's and Nathan's ideas on its possible uses quite frankly scare me stupid. And if there are Vamps involved,..." Danny gives a dramatic shudder, (which could have been caused by what he glimpsed in one of the alcoves below).
Danny looks thoughtful.
"Maybe not the kitchen, but sometimes the best place to hide something is in plain sight. Maybe if we take a look around, we may see it among the decor. Worth a shot I suppose. You too should probably stay together, can't break up the 'couple' now can we?" He says with a grin.
"I'll take a look around, see if I can find someone to show me around who isn't an 'official guide'." He smirks.
"There HAS to be SOME single girls here,..." He grumbles, starting to take another sip of his drink. He stops, and stares at the glass suspiciously as Axe's words come back to him.
"Great, now I can't even enjoy my drink!" He grumbles more, setting aside the glass and looking around the floor below for a potential single girl to show him 'the ropes', as it were,...

David returns to the bar, placing a cool $100 on the bar. "Straight whiskey, please." He waits a beat for the bartender to get closer. "I hope you might have remembered where I can find the Heretic's Fork for my buyer. He is quite intent on getting the piece." Taking the whiskey, he downs it in one shot.

Emily Zhoa |

Emily smiles at Aximeus and leans into him so that she can whisper, "Not the kitchen. The fork we are looking for is a device of torture... and likely something more considering it was stolen."
She looks to Danny and Emily grabs his arm... "Well we could all go together... There are always threesomes." She giggles playfully and winks at the young man. She adds to him quietly, "Not to mention, when I asked to have a look around, they wanted to know how I was paying..."

The hundred disappears, 'Man, this recession is killing my pocket book. Time was that rappers would come up the street and drop double that just a tip when ordering a bottle of Dom. Man, I miss those money falls.'
'I know, you don't care bout my blues. What you're looking is for a fork and not the kind to eat cheese cake. There was a girl and I'm talking the twenty something type with the cheerleader outfit. I'm talking the real McCoy that violates the brass plaque rules of the club.
'Well, she's a fave of one of the gold key members. So she gets a pass as long as she don't come in the front door and people don't see anything. Then again, when do people that come here see anything?'
'Yeash, half the people here would scream and try to cut your balls off if they saw you on the street and tried to say high to them. Talk of your Vegas lifestyle. What happens here, stays here.'
'So this girl, no names, don't want to know them and couldn't tell you if I did know. That's the kind of thing that makes even the police not turn their heads.'
'Well, she rented a room for a trial session. She the exception to the rule and we pretend she's eighteen and she don't give us grief for pretending. Now, she a tipper. Gold spoon if I ever saw one.'
'Gee, look at that. I think your going to be needing a refill pretty soon.'

You think that there is a woman in her middle to late 40s that is giving you eyes. She looks like a 'top' type of business woman that may be looking for a boy toy to vent some steam with.

David allows a rare smile, knowing something about being a sellout. "I feel you. Long time ago, I did something honorable with my life. Something good. I made a difference, saved some lives. Here we are in 2010, and I'm not having the quiet, peaceful retirement that they sold me on two decades ago." He takes the refill, thinking to himself for a moment. "I'll just tell my employer that you were being a little reluctant with information. He's got more money than sense, always expects working class guys like us to do his bidding for his table scraps. We'll just keep it between us."
David drops another $100 on the bar and downs the whiskey in a gulp.

"I have never much seen the value in having a lot of money; just brings more trouble; like more people trying to relieve you of it; besides; we could just twist some arms to get what we want, but these guys would probably enjoy it; and in this crowd; i can't tell one from another; we need to find a way to weed out the trash and find a couple of leads to focus on rather than just standing around in here.
<passes his wad of cash to Emily>
"not sure how much this helps; but there you go, all I got; maybe if we find one of these villians loaded; we could start a save the city defense fund, hehe"
