Can anyone point to a ruling on a Master Chymist's alternate form and various divination spells?
For example - if the PCs ask a Chymist NPC "did you do this?" or "where were you then?" with Discern Lies does the result change if the Chymist was there but in alternate form?
Should it?
MC shifts from one form the another just supresses the other personaility. both personalities are aware of actions taken its not like each personality has gaps in memory.
otherwise every time a MC started combat and shifted into the alternate form he wouldn't know where he was or what he was doing.
now with a disern lies spell depends on the questions asked by the party and what you want to do with the encounter.
e.g. MC in beast form killed somone last night.
Party talk to the MC in thier natural form the next day
Q: Did you kill that man last night ?
A: No I didn't = True (the normal form personality didn't commit the act)
Q: Do you know who did ?
A: No = Lie (the normal form knows his alternate personaility did kill the man)
Or
Q: Do you know who did?
A: Yes I do, a beastly looking creature = True
Treat each personality as a complete differn't charcater beucase they have differn't alignments.
e.g. a detect evil on a MC will only ping if the current dominate personaility is evil. but not if the current personlity is neutral even if the alternate is evil.
