Apparently the JJ Abrams deal fell through and NBC/Universal got the rights. The delivery concept sounds novel (movie, then tv series, back and forth), but has the potential to flop. I personally think that in the age of DVR, it has the best chance of working than any other time.

I'm hoping they do some major rewrites from Wolves os the Calla on. And the ending was terrible.

I enjoyed books 5-7 to be honest. The ending wasn't great, but it did explain some stuff (even if it was in a round-about way).

It's a BAD idea, I would never watch a TV series that required me to go to the movie theather just to see part of it.
