Assassin's Creed

Video Games

Well, I finally picked this up today and so far it looks awesome. I will have to play through this and then start Assassin's Creed II.

Totally worth it. Not a lot of replayability, but the action and scripting is top notch.

Eh. Nice Concept but I got really tired of certain elements of the game.

I mean, really, for the love of Allah - I got so tired of climbing towers and jumping into haystacks.

Got half way through the game and put it down in favor of Fallout 3. I plan to go back and finish it, because the story interests me, but game play bored me.

Don't bother with the side quests in that game, just go straight through the main quest objectives. Trust me, you will get tired of "saving the commoner in distress" and "killing the templar" when you have to do it about 20 times.

I pretty much did the same. I went back and finished it before AC2 came out and enjoyed it. 2 is not as repetitive, and the killing got much more fun with two hidden blades.

But...but...my 100% completion! *cries*

Okay, I didn't actually bother with it in 1. And wouldn't have in 2 if they hadn't sold treasure maps for it.

I never completed the first game due to Red Ring of Death killing my save game, didn't want to start over. But the second one was pretty good. I think the controls could have been tighter, but I had just finished Uncharted 2 and Batman Arkahm Asylum when I started it, so could just be that they were different.

You will be surprised when you learn the hidden main plot that lies beneath the official main plot of being a genetic time traveler unraveling secrets in the form of an ancestor who was an assassin. The story in AC2 (which was the one I actually completed) has a very nice Chariot of the Gods-type twist to it. The story is much more than just historical assassinating. Better leave it at that.
