Just got KOTOR II (I know, a little late) and it got me thinking.
Are there any Star Wars pbp out there? If there are, I would love to join. I've been playing with Star Wars toys from when I can remember and enjoyed the literature in the 90's but may be out of touch in whats new or new-ish.
So if there is a game going that needs a newbie or a game starting up, please consider answering this thread.
The most recent version is Star Wars Saga by WOTC, and it recently got discontinued. I run it with my friends IRL, and I know there's one game of it running on the boards, the Dawn of Defiance campaign written by Wizards. I don't think they're taking more players though. If there was another DM running I'd likely play, I run the game so much but I never get to play it.

Good luck guys. I am currently in Kalderaan's Dawn of Defiance campaign on this board and it is going great! Keep your eyes open and keep bumping and hopefully it will pan out for you. If Kalderaan lets us know he wants to recruit another player, I'll let you know. Right now we are second level, transitioning to third shortly.
As much as I would love to play it, and think I would be fine with not metagaming, as I have mentioned in another thread like this I am running DoD for my second group. As a result I obviously know all the plot twists and such, so the experience would likely be of more value to Sigz. That said, I'm always here if a slot opens. ;)

I have joined three Star Wars games on this board in the last year or so and all have succumbed to very quick deaths.
I would love to play in a Star Wars PbP but no such luck yet.
I am running a game as markofbane mentioned but it is currently full. If that changes, we can recruit.
I do have an idea for an all-Jedi game set in the Old Republic but I just don't have the time for it. Perhaps if I had a co-DM or something, I would consider it but until then...

This pair of excel documents summarises pretty much everything in the game, which is extremely handy when you need a comprehensive list of talents/feats over all books. As for rulebooks, you can find all but the very newest ones as PDFs online.
I would say support the line and buy them, like I did, but since it's cancelled anyway...

I would love to play as well. I once played Evoks Dark Lord of the Sith. It was a blast! So, if anyone else creates a game, count me in if there's room.

The Republic has drawn a breadth of life to rebuild. The Mandalorian Wars has shattered many worlds. Thanks to Jedi Revan and Malak, the Madalorians were defeated at Malachor V and driven out of Republic Space. Revan and Malak at the head of a small fleet continue to chase the Mandalorians into the depths of the Unknown Regions.
People have been happy to once again see the return of peace to the Republic. People are beginning to call this the Second Restoration. It is a second chance for the Republic that was rocked previously be the Great Sith War in 4,000 BBY.
But in the depths of the Unknown Regions a monster awakens. A slumbering fleet of Sith Warriors bent on reclaiming the glory of the bygone days of the Sith. Ahead of them move their agents, gathering resources and preparing bases the Sith will need to strike to the heart of the Republic.

Okay, here is the pointer to the OOC thread.

I list basic outline for character creation, race, and letting you know what your starting situation will roughly be.
I am looking for roughly 5 to 6 players (though will run with less).
I think the people that have posted interest already to this thread have the first call on spots (Sigz especially).
If we still need people after that then I will post again here to say that I would like X more people.
I'll give the prior posters 72 hours from 11 PM EST (Aug 30th) to review the other thread and sign in their interest to play before adding any new people looking for anyone else that might be interested.
I hope to get characters 'roughed' out by Friday (that's five days). If you find that to be a problem then you might find the regular campaign pace a problem and should consider that for your getting involved.
PS: I write quite a bit and often write (not all on gaming) 3K to 5K a day. Again, it is something to keep in mind when it comes to reading my postings.

Yes, we are in the time between the Mandalorian Wars and the Jedi Civil War. Officially, it is the time of the Jedi Civil War but the Republic has yet to know that the Sith are launching there invasion.
