I'm in several AP already, and committed to running 2 long term PFS teams, and playing 1.
Playing AP:
Curse of the Crimson Throne
Iron Gods
Skulls & Shackles
Strange Aeons
Way of the Wicked (muhahahaha)
My plate's pretty full, only expanding when running the occasional PFS evergreen.

I guess if we hit level 12 we'll have to look for a different option maybe AP will be the way to go.

I'm wondering, with the season 5 special [Siege of the Diamond City] in the future, could those going to play raise their hands?
Uesugi Hideyoshi
|
sorry what special is this? Did I miss a sign up?
Mr. Peppers
|
I plan to play any and all specials I can get my typing fingers on. My work schedule gets much busier starting in May but not near enough so to lose out on some PbP fun!
Sir D. Arthraven
|
Uesugi, this special is ample excersise for your noble sword to deal some justice in a city besieged by evil forces.
I don't know what lvl PCs everyone would bring, or if they even bring the Red Arm as a team. Having played it, i've got the itch to run it, provided i get to the signing up in time.
(Looks at Cup.)
Naturally, the Red Arm team would be 1st up my list to get around the table. Seeing them fighting off invaders would be grand.

Yeah I'm definitely planning on playing Siege of the Diamond City, and I'm also considering running a low-level table as my first special.
As for APs/long-run campaigns, I'm currently in:
Hell's Rebels
Rise of the Runelords
A Northlands Saga/homebrew game
A Wrath of the Righteous-adjacent game (we're basically a group of people that were really invested in our characters during recruitment, but didn't make the cut for the actual AP, so one of the players is basically crafting a parallel adventure where we're trying to survive the fall out of the major event that kicks off that AP. It's pretty interesting stuff.)
So far, the HR group is my most consistent group for posting rate. RotR is kinda stop and start, as is the WotR group. Northlands saga is frequently mind-numbingly slow, almost to the point that I'm ready to drop it. I kinda feel bad about it, though, because the GM has a legit excuse for being so busy with real life stuff.
Someday, I'd definitely like to run an AP for myself, but I'm a bit apprehensive about the major commitment as Red said.

Uesugi pledges his blade to aid in the removal of any unwanted baddies from the lands of Golarion and beyond!!!
Mr. Peppers

Happy Hump Day people! Well, not for Mr Peppers as his love interest was just murdered by Silas that jealous bastard!
Sirettis

| 1 person marked this as a favorite. |
Miss Poshkettle, be careful! You never know when Mister Peppers's jealous ex may knock a bookshelf down on you!
| GM Hmm |
The surprise death of a guard was one of the complications that was a possibility for the Transport Workshop folks in Day Three. When I rolled for it, I groaned. It's been long my GM philosophy that walk-in NPCs should get names, personalities, etc. I develop them and make them real. If a death happens, it matters because it's no longer another anonymous red shirt.
I was not planning on Lin to die... but complications are supposed to complicated. This one surely is.
Hmm
Mr. Peppers
|
It definitely is a great idea and will cause much more of a ruckus than some random 'Bob' we'd never met.
Sirettis
|
And we're still planning for the big heist! I can see why this scenario is high up on your favorites.
Gorgeous Gallix Granbonne
|
Seriously! This scenario goes deep. I can't even imagine how hard it would be to run this live and keep it to a 4-5 hour slot!
| GM Hmm |
Yeah, now we're suddenly triggering lots of complications -- they differ in intensity and mood, but they can bring out a second chance to acheive success and learn a few more things.
Seriously! This scenario goes deep. I can't even imagine how hard it would be to run this live and keep it to a 4-5 hour slot!
This one is very GM-dependent. A well-prepped GM with lots of premade handouts like the ones that Bret and I uploaded to the PFS Prep site can do a pretty good job of running it the way it deserves to be run.
Without that kind of advance prep, it probably comes off as a mess. Still, I think that this is one of the best scenarios of last year. I adore it for being a Pathfinder version of 'Ocean's Eleven' that really lets the players dig in.

Has anyone seen GM Red today? Is he okay?
Hmm
| GM Hmm |
Huh. It did not show me that gameplay had updated. How very irritating. Let me go check now...
GM Red
|
I've had that happen before too. I was pretty busy all morning anyway but got a post up in the afternoon.
Am I able to use UMD again when I retry my roll, but with a different wand? Or does it have to be something entirely different?
| GM Hmm |
You can reuse UMD at a minus, or use a different skill at full value.
Hmm
Sir D. Arthraven

Hey guys.
From Saturday 22nd of April, i will be traveling through Japan, returning somewhere on the 13th of May.
There is said to be Wifi in the hotels we'll be staying at, but i can't guarantee a 1 a/day post.
For the games that i GM, this means we'll be on a break during that time.
GM Red
|
Hope you have a great time D. Show us some pics when you return. Eat some crazy regional specialties.
Mr. Peppers
|
Have a great time on that trip D!
On a side note... Thanks for posting Red, now I know the forums work again!
| GM Hmm |
We're back, huzzah!
Hmm
GM Red
|
I guess I should also mention my upcoming vacation too! I'll be in Jamaica from May 12th to May 19th and really won't be posting much. If at all? I'm not sure what the wi-fi will be like. I think we'll have SOS wrapped up by then. It'll be a good break before the special!
Sir D. Arthraven
|
Hope you have a great time D. Show us some pics when you return. Eat some crazy regional specialties.
Will do on both 1 & 2.
On 3, i'm hoping i don't get served whale, nor living baby squids.
Sirettis
|
Enjoy your trip, D!
*phew* the forums recovered sooner than I thought!

Vacation time. umm sry this slipped but Im traveling to Boston for Easter to visit some family. my posting will only be at night and limited at best. leave tmrw morning return Thursday.
Red check the slack# you slacker!
| GM Hmm |
And I will be at Quilt Camp after this morning and through Sunday.
Day three of this mission was the longest day ever!
Gorgeous Gallix Granbonne
|
Since we're posting about upcoming hindrances to posting, I'll also note that I got a new job! I'm starting on Monday, and I obviously won't know what the situation will be as far as spare time to put up a post until then, but it'll probably be limited for a while, at least until I'm settled in a bit.
Safe travels to those of you on vacation now or in the near future! Enjoy yourselves!
Sir D. Arthraven

Grats.
I have yet to receive a reply from the last interview. >_>
What kind of job did you land?
Sirettis
|
Congrats on the new job.
Gorgeous Gallix Granbonne
|
Thanks guys!
It's a job in the registrar's office of an online university for different nursing degrees that's based here in Denver. Biggest upside to it is that it'll actually continue into the summer and beyond, which is not true of the substitute teaching job I've had up till this point.
D, sorry that you still haven't had any word on the job you interviewed for. That waiting period is honestly the worst part in my opinion. Fingers crossed that it works out for you!
| GM Hmm |
So... Should we bot Uesugi's infiltration roll, or wait until Thursday? It is kind of crucial.
Hmm
Gorgeous Gallix Granbonne
|
I booted him in the game I'm running since he said he'd only be available in the evenings, if at all. I think we should bot just to allow us to move on.
GM Red
|
I assume you meant botted. I can't imagine Gallix booting someone from his game, especially not ol' Sugi!
Let me Slack him...
Gorgeous Gallix Granbonne
|
Oh my! Yes, "botted"! Must have been auto-correct on my computer. Yikes!
Mr. Peppers
|
Mean bastard, booting the poor fella. He's got mouths to feed!
Damn maple sap ran some again today! I've got two large pots on the stove of some real sweet stuff as I only had 4.5g but I couldn't just toss this super good stuff. Fan is cranked, lets see how much sugar is in them trees!
Silas Vincent
|
I didn't hear back from 'Sugi, by the way, so if you want to bot him, that'll be up to everyone too. I say go for it. Don't be a jerk like Gallix and boot him though!
*ducks*
Sirettis

It's going to be 80 degrees and I am at my favorite exercise/meditation spot, now snow free!
We need to figure out our plan:
- Distract the dogs.
- Ambush the guards.
- Disable Nadini so she doesn't alert anyone.
- Deactivate or bait the altar so it doesn't grab and pummel us.
- Get out before reinforcements arrive.
- Deal with the inevitable Aspis ambush
But no rush, 'cause it's Easter Sunday and I have more push ups to do!
| GM Hmm |
The night is still young, Uesugi. Do you want to do that now? Or turn him in? The option remains, though it would likely cut into your heist planning. As a GM, I am happy that I've made you all loathe sweet little Varnic.
I am looking forward to see you guys start planning this heist in earnest. Also... You have 3,500 gold to spend. What will you spend it on?
Hmm
Uesugi Hideyoshi

No it would be wring to kill tge halfling judt like that Im waiting for him to give me a reason
Mr. Peppers

Merry Monday everyone! And for those in the US, happy tax day, unless you're in New England then happy day before tax day!
And for Sirettis in particular, happy marathon Monday!
Sirettis
|
You mean Happy Evacuation Day. So it's a perfectly legitimate holiday my office doesn't celebrate.
Well, I'm working from home since my bus route is cancelled today (you do NOT want to go through Copley Square unless you're in the marathon.)
