Liberty's Edge

Can someone clarify for me, if I can cast this spell on someone else? It has a Range entry, but the description is only talking about the caster?!
I loved that spell of Morigan in that little trailer of Dragon Age, where she put a hand on an enemy, pushed him away, and while stumbling into other opponents, the enemy exploded.
This spell could do that effect, but I am not sure about the official rule here...

i think the range of 30ft. is the effective reach of the spell, covered by the area of effect. the spell description states that you (the caster) must be the source/center of the spell and that you take damage appropriately.

Silver Crusade

Is there a vetical component to the spell? If cast inside a building would detonate damage
Those on tag second floor 10' from the caster? The caster is in the first floor.

Yes, a "radius spread" expands in all directions from the origin point, so the spell has a vertical component.

It is very unlikely to affect any targets with a wall or floor between the caster and the target - the damage of the spell would be reduced by half, have the hardness of the floor or wall subtracted, and then the remaining damage applies to the wall or floor.

On average, even at 10th caster level, a detonate spell won't even blow through a strong wooden door, so walls and floors are pretty unlikely - and in either case you have to completely destroy the intervening obstacle for the damage to pass through.

If you do blow out the floor and affect targets above you, the 1d6 falling damage they are about to take because the floor beneath them is gone is likely to be greater than what the spell deals to them.

Shadow Lodge

This spell is best used after casting Draconic Reservoir first.

best if you consider it almost like a personal spell. the area is using one of the corners of your square as the origin, and the range is from that corner.
