Addam moves up the next ridge and reaches the top.
javelin thrower perception check: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (10) + 5 = 15
The enemy spots Addam right away.
Gothard throws a rock which makes some noise, and the javelin thrower looks back to the ravine bottom.
Smian takes a defensive posture.
Archer 2 attacks Addam: 1d20 + 3 - 2 ⇒ (20) + 3 - 2 = 21
critical threat confirmation: 1d20 + 3 - 2 ⇒ (1) + 3 - 2 = 2 failed, normal damage.
Archer 2 damage: 1d6 + 4 ⇒ (4) + 4 = 8
The javelin strikes Addam square in the left thigh.
The combatant turns back to Addam and throws a final javelin. He then attempts to flee south down the ridge line.
climb:1d20 ⇒ 7
The enemy is stuck where he is for the moment.
skipping map update this time. Everything is the same as last time except Addam advanced 1 square and now has line of sight on the enemy. Climb speed is 25% normal movement. Intimidate takes a full minute of action. I didn't see anything to bluff about, Addam really did kill the other guy. Intimidate would be appropriate but will take some time.
Addam River
The bluff was that I could do it again lol
Addam wants the information from this guy so bad he can almost taste it. He's got to know something.
Addam will attempt to attack with non-leathal hits:
Rapid shot #1: 1d20 + 8 + 2 - 2 ⇒ (4) + 8 + 2 - 2 = 12 Forgot +2 favoured enemy bonus last time.
Dmg: 1d8 + 2 ⇒ (8) + 2 = 10
If allowed, because I'm still trying to get him to surrender, can Addam hesitate before his 2nd shot and yell surrender again?
Rapid Shot #2: 1d20 + 8 + 2 - 2 ⇒ (14) + 8 + 2 - 2 = 22
Dmg: 1d8 + 2 ⇒ (3) + 2 = 5

sloppy compile on my part. Going back to round two... Both of Rorie's attacks are successful! His target staggers.
Begin round three
Addam places an arrow near the feat of his target. He gives another shout to surrender, but his target looks poised to turn and make a run for it. Addam takes his second shot and his target falls backwards, where he remains quite still.
end combat
ammo recovery:
Addam 1d2 ⇒ 2
Addam is able to recover his one missed shot.
ammo tracking Addam -2 Rorie -2
Back at camp Alyosha rests and recuperates. Sasha is out hunting, and Ishirou and Aerys stick to the perimeter of camp, which leaves him in the sole company of the two people looking over him. While Jask is out gathering supplies Alyosha notices that Gelik seems a bit troubled.
Addam River
Addam sees the 2nd attacker go down knowing that he's going to die before anyone with real healing ability can save him. Addam climbs down the ridge and goes over to the body.
Climb check: I'll take 10. 10+5= 15
I'll also do a perception check to see if the guys is really dead before I get to close, don't want a knife in the giblets.
Perception: 1d20 + 6 + 2 ⇒ (14) + 6 + 2 = 22
I'll do another perception check to see if I see anything of use in the hide or on the ground around the body that would be useful.
Perception: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (10) + 6 = 16
Addam River
While preparing for a succession of quick shots, Addam places an arrow in the open mouth of the east ambusher. The rangers low trajectory allows the arrow to continue through the skull at an angle which is instantly lethal.
The east Javelin thrower (1) stumbles, and an already lifeless body plummets to the ravine bottom.
Addam holds his second attack.
He fell to the bottem PD

You take a moment to get a closer look at the people that attacked you. They are both humans with long unkept hair, and they wear what could hardly even be considered rags. Their weapons are crude creations or old and badly suffering of decay and rust.
On the ground you find a dead human male of maybe twenty years. His teeth are mostly missing; those that remain are gnarled and rotten. He has two bamboo javelins on his body, and a sharpened spear like pole.
I'll also do a perception check to see if the guys is really dead before I get to close, don't want a knife in the giblets.
Perception: 1d20+6+2
A dirty man that looks to be well past his prime lies in front of Addam. His hair is gray and white hair, a mix of balding patches and long wild strands. Addam thinks he sees the dirty man crack an eye. He is sure that he can see him breathing. A spear lies on the ground near the man.
Addam River
Addam, always weary of his enemies, slowly moves up to the downed "archer", coming up on the side where the spear lyes on the ground. As he approaches he unsheaths his longsword.
When Addam gets close enough he will step on the spear and kick it back placing the tip of his sword on the mans sturnum ready to strike if he man moves. "If you are alive, do not move, or I will kill you."

Smian thinks back to his very first night on the island. You had been able to guess your location from the captains log, and now that night had fallen the others had decided to swap lore.
Smian remembers Sasha's words especially well. "...The colony had to be abandoned. I’m not so much sure it was because of ghosts though. Seventy years ago, just before the navy of Cheliax was defeated by pirate forces, one of their warships wrecked on Smuggler’s Shiv. Most survived but Cheliax was unable to rescue them, if they had any idea they were alive. The troops lived out long years, and even bore offspring, but a hundred year monsoon sent them into depraved madness, and they cannibalized each other. The victors sank deeper into madness and moved deep into the jungle. Decades later they reemerged and took the colony by surprise. They left no survivors, but the next boat that came in found their remains, which were nothing but a pile of charred, gnawed up bones."
Over on the ridge top the unarmored barbarian gives up his bluff early. "I give up, give up!" He flops on the ground till he can roll over, bleeding but alive, and spreads his arms in submission.
he was reduced to exactly zero hit points, lucky for you guys.

Sorry got caught up working on my Warhammer game I'm working on and didn't realize it was past my bedtime.
Addam looks around and instructs the savage to make his way down to his friends using the easiest method possible. Knowing that there's goign to be climbing involved Addam doesn't secure the savages hands or legs.
"Come on get up. We need to get down to my friends... and lets take it nice and easy, no funny business. One of you guys want to wait at the bottem so this guy doesn't run off as he climbs down?"

"Alright have it your way Petey. You got me licked. They'll be takin' your friend back to our camp where he'll be in the hole a few days. The moon goes round full in three nights and he'll be offered up to the devil who makes his nest on the red mountain. No one else is going to bother you so you best just turn around and forget about that bloke."
Gothard Piersson
Gothard leans closer to the captive and grabs him by his shirt, pulling the man within inches of Gothards face "You forgot to tell us about the part where you will take us to your camp so we may rescue him and put an end to your offerings."
intimidate check: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (20) + 8 = 28
To the others he says "Grab the uniform of the other man so we may dress like them and take "the newly captured prisoners" to join the others. If this man will not lead us, we will take his uniform too."
Score on the intimidate roll!

Back at camp everyone comes in to rest through the hot part of the day except for Sasha, who apparently continues to hunt or rests independently. Gelik goes on telling Alyosha about the bleaching.
"Many lifetimes ago the gnomes fled our original plane of existence. Outside of our home in the fey realm, the world begins to wash us of some core essence. This reality wears on our spirit, and our skin and hair goes white over time, stripped of a kind of planar nutrients. Once a gnome has experienced a bleaching our age is affected in such a way that we may be brightened by life and the world around us, or aged terribly, cursed to suffer through the eons in an ever decaying state of physical and mental decline."
An hour after the heat breaks, everyone jumps at the sight of the away team returning, with prisoner in tow.
Day 8 4:00pm
Alyosha Akeldama
Alyosha stands and greets the party as they make their way back to the camp.
"Glad to see you made it back in once piece! And what is this little present you have brought us! My blades have been wanting some work lately... Back on subject, I do not see our friend Luther."
After everyone gets back to camp Alyosha sits back down not quite feeling one hundred percent yet.
Gothard Piersson
Gothard takes the prisoner to Jask to heal him. "Be careful to only heal him enough to keep him away from death; I do not beleive it wise to have him at full strength yet."
After Jask heals him, Gothard begins his interrogation. "You will tell us of your camp's location and layout now. I will also know of your numbers, strengths and weaknesses. We will see the return of our friend, or you will not see the next sunrise."
DM organized
Jask provides the prisoner with enough medical treatment to stabilize the wounds and allow for natural healing to occur.
"Well now sullies, ain't ya even going to ask me name? You got the advantage now, and I'll be barkin' soon enough. I'd like to stay breathing and ole' Guliver is no fool now. Ye can trust that I wouldn't lead ya astray.
I see ye got a nice camp here, looks like you fair better than most. Formidable indeed." The prisoner bobs his head when he speaks, as if he is impressed.
"Say mates, listen, 'cause I got a thought on my mind that's burning a hole in my noggin. So answer me, what do ye think the rest of 'em are gonna do when they find 'ole Kirby dead in the ravine, and a lot more blood up in my blind?"
DM organized
Guliver prods you with a motley smile. "Say, you wouldn't have any tobacco, would you kindly? It been a good long while since..." Guliver trails off.
"Anyway, if you want to be see'in a map get me sticks and pebbles, unless yer bogartin' sometin more proper to draw with. Day light is already getting thin."
Gothard Piersson
"Let him draw his map and we will see what he has to say. Then we can send in someone to scout the area to confirm his information. If we find it to be false, he will live long enough only to regret what he has done. But right now, anything he tells us is more than we currently know."

"Your sudden cooperation does not sit well with me lad. What be ye up to? Ye didn't have no problem burying that dern javalin in me leg not more than a few hours ago. And now you be helping us fight yer own!"
"Did ye forget you licked me good. I was floating past the lighthouse and the end of the ocean. I didn't survive this long by being a fool, and I got no real loyalty to nobody but Guliver."
Guliver works up a map that includes the lighthouse, an attached building, and several smaller buildings. The surrounding terrain is impassible jungle covered cliff rocks, leaving a single approach open to the east. I don't have this map quite ready yet, but I'll post it soon.
At this time Sasha returns from her hunt. She carries a string of fish and a sack stained with berry juice. After catching up to speed on the prisoner Sasha pulls you aside to talk away from enemy ears.
"When I was out today I took the opportunity to scout the northeast coast. I found several interesting locals that you might want to look into. I spotted the remains of three other wrecks. I guess they looked pretty old. Further south I found a bald peak that's got quite an odd shape, almost like a pyramid." Sasha indicates these locations on your island map.
Addam River
Still feeling wary of the information that the prisioner was providing Addam huddles closer to his fellows and tells them, "I still do not trust him. I'm not sure how long they'd wait for their friends to come back or if they've already started out to look for them. They could arrive tonight. I suggest that I take my rest now and get up to assist during the night watch. I doubt I could sleep well knowing that someone may be out there tonight."
