What Happened to the Adventure Paths Covers

Product Discussion

I just recieved my last issue in Kingmaker and first issue of Serpents Skull, the covers are way softer and flimsier (if thats a word) it just seems that the cover is not the same hardness and thickness as before, is it just me?

It is just you. We haven't changed the cover stock one iota since we started to print books.

Really my orc book was fine but my two Aps were all soft even my wife said she could feel a small difference maybe it just the heat and sitting in the box with the post office for a week

I don't know about that, Lisa. The covers on my #36 and #37 are both weaker feeling to the touch that previous issues. Maybe a moisture thing due to humidity in the summer during transit?

*Feels the covers of Sound of a Thousand Screams and Souls for Smuggler's Shiv, both of which he picked up at his FLGS on the same day. Feels the same to me.

I have my doubts...

I noticed the APs started seeming floppier starting with LoF. In fact I brought this up back then. I can hold and AP book before it up next to it and one stays rigid, the others sags. Its not a big deal, I was just surprised all that time ago.

Have them both and I can't say I notice a difference. I have APs going back to the start of CoT and they are all the same cover wise. Maybe it's just a certain batch or something.

Do they make pathfinder Cialis?

I don't have Sound of a Thousand Screams yet, but my copy of Souls for Smuggler's Shiv which arrived with my APG seems to have a similar issue. It feels less tough than a regular AP and the spine has been bent slightly. It's kinda like how I might imagine it would go if the book had gotten quite hot at some point and later cooled down.

It doesn't affect my enjoyment of the book at all, but it's interesting to hear that others had the same issue.

I noticed the exact same thing with my latest order. I have been a subscriber since issue #1. Is is possible that ~part~ of the print run has different card stock?

These last two are certainly more flexible. I like it actually - I think it makes the issue easier to read.

I Dont have a problem with it im just worried about the binding and its ability to last

Same issue here, same concern here. I'm worried about my AP issues dying like Sixfold Trial did.

I just checked mine just to see. Mine also feel thinner than the Orc book does by a noticeable amount. Honestly i would have never noticed I doubt had I not read this thread and checked.
