Very cool. This is good to hear.

Its fine if you did and have not had a chance to look at it or it disgusted you so much you can't stomach it enough to read it again.
That happens to me sometimes.
In all seriousness, I just wanted to make sure I sent it to the right email.
Gah! I meant to say something to you earlier. I did get it, and I will be looking through it this weekend. Suffice it to say, I'm still interested in working with you.
Oh but wait, soon everyone will be privy to my.....privy. No wait, that isn't what I mean.

No.
The Hobbit
The Return of the King
Bakshi also did The Lord of the Rings.
The problem is that The Lord of the Rings does the first book and a half and then The Return of the King does the last book -- so there is a gap if you try and view them together.
The Hobbit and The Return of the King were actually rather well done -- but they were definitely for children (and made for tv). They took Tolkien's "songs" and actually made them into songs. Some better than others. The Lord of the Rings was actually made as (I believe) a series of shorts that were meant to be shown before movies in theaters.
If you haven't seen them, you really should -- just don't expect much as an adult.

I take full credit for the thanks.
Which, I think is warranted given that...
The conversation went like this:
taig: We should do something nice for Gary and sm.
me: Cool, what's the deadline?
taig: October 10.
me: Okay.
{time passes}
taig: Alright, it's October 10, thanks everyone.
me: Wait, I thought we had till October 13.
taig: No, you made that up. What the hell have you been doing, snorting glitter instead of blow?
me: Uh...oh...uh...okay...

So any of you guys want to move to Glasgow with me. I'll let you play D&D on my 3d terrain, use my minis, and my dwarvenforge stuff.
Unfortunately the sheer work it would take to ship my 3d terrain, minis, and dwarvenforge would be overwhelming.
Perhaps all these bells and whistles is a gay gamer thing. :)

I saw those growing up. The dark nature of the art looked really good, I thought. I really liked Gandalf's look. I saw the Hobbit movie before I read the book (way back in 1995!) and it was one of the things that helped me start my geekdom.

Where there's a whip, there's a way.
We don't wanna go to war today,
But the lord of the lash says nay, nay, nay!
We're gonna march all day, all day, all day,
Cause where there's a whip, there's a way.
Where there's a whip, there's a way.
Where there's a whip, there's a way.
Where there's a whip, there's a way.
Left, right, left, right, left
Where there's a whip, there's a way.
Left, right
A crack on the back says we're gonna fight.
We're gonna march all day and night
And more, for we are the slaves of the Dark Lord's war.
Left, right, left, right, left,
Where there's a whip, there's a way.

You're still "growing up". ;-)
Our school library had these on video and you could check them out and watch them in separate rooms during "study hall".

Though I have always been one of those people who felt I didn't need all of the legal stuff that goes with a marriage rite. Of course, my partner and I have been together so long it is not unlike being married.
