Just got a query from a company I interviewed with before moving to Houston. Really wanted to work there, but the contract they were hiring me for fell through - they liked me too, they gave my girlfriend's husband a bonus for the reference, even though they couldn't hire me at that time.
Three years later, and they email me asking if I'd be interested in applying to work there...
Dont' want to leave houston, but man, that's an ego boost!

How the hell do women keep under their fingernails clean? I shower every day, wash my hands every time I relieve myself, yet I feel like Pigpen from Peanuts with regard to my fingernails.

There's this little file inside some nail clippers that can get dirt out when it's there. Other than that...I dunno? Maybe do things that get dirt under the nails less? Gloves?

Keeping a nail brush by the sink and using it after doing something that gets dirt under your nails helps. So does Jess's tip about using the little file thingy on the nail clippers. Other than that, there really are no tricks, although nail polish disguises a multitude of sins, for those of us who wear it. :)

I just keep mine very short. I've been in that habit since I was in the Army. Tearing a couple down past the quick made an impression on me.
