Just like home.

Wait, what?

o_o

And it's days like today that I am reminded why we decided to give up the house and move into an apartment. No shoveling for me today. :)

Also no classes. Which is good. I might actually have some chance of getting enough studying in to not fail the lab test tomorrow.

Back when I was a Scout (AKA Army Lite), we used to refer to people who screwed up and got the group in trouble as Bravo Foxtrots. Never actually knew where that came from. Thank you for enlightening me.
Bravo Foxtrot; that's right up there with BOHICA! :)
Well, you know buddy's only HALF a word, right?
I put that into the Google, and this was one of the first links. AWESOME.
Did you Google BOHICA? :)

No, I knew that one already.

I saw. It doesn't surprise me that cousin James would be open to gaming. It surprises me less that Ann feels the need to vent to someone. ;3

I was going to grumble about shoveling today, but then I listened to the latest episode of Atomic Array.

As of right now, the only person allowed to grumble about shoveling on this forum is Rone. End of story.

I haven't had time to listen to the new one. Hopefully I can pop on over some time this week and listen.

If only I could. I have bad reactions to just about everything. I could really use some tea and whiskey right about now. Too bad all I've got in the liquor cabinet is rum and tequila. Wondering which would be the better substitute for whiskey....hey, wait! I found a bottle of Baileys I'd forgotten about. That'll work. It may not make the cold go away, but it will make me not care about the cold. :)

Don't even joke about that! My players will be able to get cohorts in another session or so!

::sobs brokenly::

I'm thinking I may need to change that house rule for the Darklight Sisterhood- a number of minions equal to your Charisma modifier may be too much, it should be equal to half your Charisma modifier, rounded down(minimum of 1).

Not going to penalize my players for this though, as they all seem to love their followers. Let's see how many of them survive their first trip into the field.

Hooray for followers!

I just joined a PF RPG campaign with a DM that doesn't have a lot of experience, but I am intent on making it fun regardless. He is allowing a lot of stuff outside PF to be included...

Before I entered the (currently) 10th level campaign, two of the part had cohorts and one of those two also had an animal companion. I entered with my half-orc mighty godling (genius guide) who has a cohort (Bard 5 evangelist 3) and my character has proceeded to turn every half-orc (and others) to the cause of building the Half-Orc Nation. Did I mention that the DM is going to add his gf playing a summoner with an eidolon and maybe leadership to have a fighter defending her?

I think he is allowing too many NPCs to be directly involved with play but whatever works for him. However, I do plan on turning the campaign world upside down with my followers as my godling character approaches demigod status, whether he wants it or not. :P

Rum is an excellent substitute- works great on unruly kids too(long story). That said, I'm coming over right now because I loves me some Bailey's- is it the mint flavored one or the original?

This is an excellent idea. I will have to get the espresso maker out of the back of the cupboard where it has been languishing. It's usually too much trouble when compared to drip coffee.

My PC just got his animal companion back last night and the Ranger is looking for another animal companion. So without cohorts our party is now 9 including a horse and a Mountain Lion.

7 PCs, including a druid, a ranger, a paladin and a summoner, all with another creature to control. And that's before anyone can take leadership!

Quite a coup, Lord President! And by coup I mean a great success...not...the other kind...well, anyway...

As I've just completed my latest tour of duty, I thought I should at least provide you with an update on the last assignment. I have begun the labor, but fear my talents may be inadequate for the task:

100 Uses for a Dead Goblin...the beginning:
1) Football! (too obvious?)
2) Slippers (please follow link for prototype)
3) Door stop (a must, though it's better if you get them to eat several rocks, first)
5) Bait (better than night crawlers!)
6) Bobblehead doll (requires spring installation)
7) Boot scraper (flip-top head and sharp teeth!)
8) Balloon (great fun for the kiddies!)

I hope you enjoy your President's Day, LPM.

I've always said, the hardest part about getting married is finding a compromise to both parties desires for the home.

I can't remember what culture it was, but I seem to recall that there was one that required a married couple to live with her parents for the first year, just so they wouldn't have that issue.

Good luck Dragon.

So we know where everything is, and it's easy to walk through, and fits our work routine as we maintain the residence.

Also, to make space to buy more things later. :D

OMFG.

After following the "story" for several days, I got curious. After doing a few Google searches and reading (and re-reading) the few of his posts off-site, I think I've figured out what his original point was...and also why it's so darned hard to understand him.

Those folks who referenced that old Star Trek episode obviously got it, first, but I'm not sure if they fully grasped how accurate their comment was.

It's pretty clear to me that that guy writes with an internal monologue going all the time. When he explains something, he uses references that make perfect sense to him, but only occasionally will he stop to explain or expand on that reference. As such, there are times when the reader gets a glimpse of what he's talking about, and others where we are left on our own to figure out what the reference means...and hopefully thorugh that how it makes sense in context.

I also figured out what the heck his problem with Paizo's name was. He spells it out a bit more clearly on the Necromancer games forum.

The guy's obviously incredibly intelligent...he also happens to be completely off his rocker.

Anyway...just had to share.

EDIT: The "story" is linked, for those who didn't see that. I would say more, but I don't want to invoke the guy's screen name. He uses it on every forum he's in.

It will happen about every 6-12 months... the words I dread "I think the (insert large and difficult to move bit of furniture) would look better up against that wall but first we will need to move this and this to make it look right".

Sharoth wrote:

Yes. Everything. And once it has been moved, it will be allowed to stay that way only so long as the domina is pleased with that arrangement. ;-)

Seriously, though, I know your pain, Dragon. I am currently on my way upstairs to hang pictures...something that has not been required for months. But since "I'm not doing anything", I have time to do it, now.

It's best to remember that these requests give us the opportunity to express our love for the ones with whom we have chosen to spend our lives, and that her desire is to make the home a place that belongs to both of you.

Awesome! That happened to me, too, but they were using my credit card to draw cash from the Inmate Cash system within the LA County jail! We stopped the card before any significant charges were made, but we were told that the LA County police might not be able to do anything about the specific criminal...you know, the one they already had in jail. I guess there's no challenge in that or something.

Welcome to the club.

Soon it'll be the bed sheets. The curtains. The color of your walls. Your things relocated to the garage or the basement. And heavens forbid if you have previously shared your residence with an extended period of time with a previous significant other. It'll be ground for revamping said domicile to prepare it to be sell-ready for the market so you can relocate to your next home that the both of you acquire - together.
