Ah, my father-in-law....what a douche.

Okay FAWTLs. This is it.

Today is the day I sell Kaze, my bike.

I recently lost the little wooden hairclip I kept on the handlebars to proudly display her femininity. I thought it horrible to lose the very symbol of her and every other bike I have ever owned on the eve of selling her. I actually rode her about without it, and it was like she was saying, "It's okay. I'm not a little girl anymore. You can let me go." So I said, "Okay. I will miss you."

As I brought the bike upstairs and prepared to clean up for game I was playing yesterday(where there was much BttH, general frivolity, chinese pastries, and the party swelling to 16(including followers- beat that Jess Door!!!!), I found the hairclip on the floor, not too far away from where I kept the bike. I put it in my pocket, and I will not put it back on another bike until I purchase the Hayaikaze-kai.

I just hope I can sell her without tearing/choking up, as it would look weird and cost me precious, precious masculinity points.

HAHAHA! This video was pretty predictable for me, but I loved it nonetheless.

Thanks for the well wishes. I safely navigated the snow and the ice that hit the Twin Cities. Sorry it canceled your game Justin. I tried to drag it with me all the way to Northern Iowa.

Now, I am leaving lovely Harrisonville, MO and have 11 hours left to drive I think. But, 70 degree weather, here I come.

So, AZ, you have internet at the hospital? You probably need something more to entertain you, then. Here's a random blog.

Liberty's Edge

Ahhh... eventful weekend. I just sat down on Saturday to play some DCUO when the windstorm knocked out the power -- for three hours. By that time, friends had come down and we grabbed some dinner, went to the Clearance Sale at our soon-to-be-closing Borders, met another old friend in the store where we caught up and made more plans for GenCon.

Yesterday, I got to spend time with my old college roomies and realized just how much I missed these fine, find people. Then had a nice turkey dinner at the folks, capped off with DCUO before bed.

Now, Monday mornings, on the other hand, suck monkey balls. :P

Except when it's a holiday. :)

(I know that even in the U.S. a lot of people don't have today off work. Fortunately, most of my employers have always treated Presidents' Day as a work holiday, and now that my employer is the government, well...)

Of course, my plan for the day involves washing lots of dishes and cleaning up the detritus from the birthday dinner I threw for a friend yesterday. Woohoo. The fun never ends here at Casa Lindisty.

This is a better avvy for Hulkurion.

Which is why I wouldn't mind a government job or another stint back in the financial sector -- the bonus holidays.

{rattles triangle} C'mon, employers!

I know this is TMI, but I just have to say it,

Spoiler:
Last night it was so good we fist bumped afterwards. lol!

I got some Nutty Bars, they were 48 for $5 at the Dollar General yesterday.... that help?

Meh. day off because I work in a place that gets paid holidays so there is no one there, but I don't get the day paid. Such is life ...

Yeah, it is Presidents Day. So how are we going to honor your LPM today?

Here you go boss. We'll need this perused and signed by 4pm.

Yup, that's about what I expected. :P

Make sure you don't miss the section on the pie chart where there's a huge allocation going towards bailbondsmen grafts. I feel like breaking into a song and dance while pickpocketing for houserules.

{grabs tophat, cane, and Gregory Hines' tapdancing shoes}

And make sure you initial subsection 1c subparagraph 4 where we get those spiffy FAWTL-embroidered leather jackets and choreography lessons for our upcoming dance/battle scenes.

*places tray of large full beer mugs on desk*

Here you go, Mr President. You'll need those if you're trying to understand those financials. I'm afraid I can't do anything about the babes. Most of the interns have the day off, it being a holiday and all. :)

LOL That reminds me of the time

Spoiler:
we were recently married, and I was fiddling with the new super powerful atomic time clock radio that I had gotten with wedding money. We had just enjoyed one another's company thoroughly, and then the clock radio alarm went off in the PM instead of the AM. I enjoy classical music in the morning and at the time it went off, it was the end of a grand concert in front of a live audience- the alarm went off just in time for the applause

And now they're saying C-section today. Again. Once more, this time with feeling!

I'll believe it when I'm holding the kid in my arms. Even then, how can I be sure they didn't just borrow one from the nursery. Just to f%$! with me.

I don't think the nursery will have spare babies of your son's size just lying about. The boy is going to be BIG.

A howdy to you too.

I am just enjoying a day off from work after having a number of consecutive long weeks and hard. Not physically demanding but multitasking verbatim compliance procedures and making use of all dead time (including skipping breaks) to be efficient can be a strain on the brain. Hope things have been good here. Hopefully we can keep this thing going to 40 thou and then 50+.

Laterz.

You picked a good time to skip a bit, but it's good to see you back around. I hope work gets better. If I get this shutdown contract in Pueblo I'm going to be missing for a while too.

I'm thinking I may need to change that house rule for the Darklight Sisterhood- a number of minions equal to your Charisma modifier may be too much, it should be equal to half your Charisma modifier, rounded down(minimum of 1).

Not going to penalize my players for this though, as they all seem to love their followers. Let's see how many of them survive their first trip into the field.

Best wishes, zombie. I hope today is the day!

Teehee. I now have a subscriber tag. I haven't had one of those since the Dragon days.

Celestial Healer wrote:

I don't know how I managed, but through all the last 4 (!!!) years I kept my Charter Tag. Came real close to losing it, but got a job right after I ran out of spare cash.

We had 8 players in the FR game last night! It was interesting, and we introduced a new player to PFRPG and RPG's all together.

I really wanted to pick up Carrion Crown, so I will be starting with the first adventure of that. It seems like it's right up my alley. After that, we'll see.
