And she's my little velcro-kitty. Every time I sit down, my lap sprouts a Maya. And if she can't be in my lap, she wants to be as close as possible otherwise. It's terribly cute, if a little difficult to work around. :)
It's pretty near impossible. You realize she's really there because of the heat the laptop kicks out, right? Or it could be jealousy. My cats have a definite love/hate relationship with my electronic equipment.I understand. How old is little Maya? My kitties are elderly themselves, as Hikari is nearly 11 and yami will be 10 in a couple months. Our old family pet Charlie lived to be about 21. I'm hoping these little guys live a good long life too.
Sometimes I feel guilty keeping them indoors and depriving them of so much freedom. But Hikari was abandoned in the wild before I rescued her, and has some nasty scars from something on her nose right next to her eye (it actually damaged her tear duct an nose so her eye's always tearing and she has a hard time breathing on one side of her nose), so I think all in all I did a good thing. Yami's been a pet a whole life, and I don't think he could ever have survived in the wild.
Maya's 16, and Alice, my other cat, is 17. Alice is mostly blind and never leaves my bedroom anymore, but other than that, she's happy and healthy. Maya's more active, and is convinced that everyone who comes to the house is here to pet her. :)
Keeping them indoors is really better for them, so I think you're doing right by yours. They'll live longer and healthier lives that way.

If it's art, go for the rare special infected, like the jockey or the smoker.

I feel the same way about my woman. Although I have a habit of ripping her shirts and underthings off when they obstruct my view. :D

You must spend a fortune replacing clothes.

I have four cats, myself. All were former strays. Kali is 12, the twins Maya and Passicalia (aka Pasi) are 9, and Bijou is 6.
Ironically, I'm allergic to them. Masochistic of me.

Not really, when I notice that look in his eyes I just change into something I don't mind losing. :P

My cat Tigger is around 14-15 I cant count so well. I got him when I was in 5th or 6th grade. He was declawed so he wouldn't destroy the furnature(sp?)but he was also let out to explore the wild. At one point last year '09 he ran out of my brothers apt and was out in the wild for 5 weeks and survived. now he stays with me and doesn't go out. I hope he lives a long life

Bijou is the only one that is not declawed. If Kali wasn't such a bully when he's feeling randy, I would have removed them by now. If/when I do, I'll pay more for the laser removal method. I find the old-fashioned claw yanking to be abhorrent.

he was declawed in the front, shortly after we got him. Dad didn't want his furniture to get tortured. still it was fun watching him box a mouse to death. Only problem now is trying to figure out why he is shedding so much. maybe dry air, any suggestions?
