I have officially reached the end of an era.

This afternoon, I handed over the last of my D&D 3.0/3.5 materials to Goodwill. I made the decision with only a little bit of difficulty. The fact is that I haven't cracked open a 3.5 or earlier edition book since Pathfinder came out. I'm "losing" a lot of source material, since I had a lot of the Fantasy Flight "Legends & Lairs" and Alderac Entertainment Group books, but given how much time I really do have to plan a campaign the Pathfinder books already provide more information there than I can realistically use. Everything else was just taking up space.

My hope is that some gamer can spot a great deal on good books in great condition and make use of them while helping out the Goodwill, as well.

Nekkid breast reduction surgery for TotP? Seems redundant.

Davi I understand your pain. You just have to grit your teeth and do it. I love my cat too, but if it's for the good of the cat it has to be done.

Yeah, it really sucks to give shots to pets. It does get easier once you do it regularly. I hope you don't beat yourself up too much over it.

Also it seems that synesthesia is becoming a new standard symptom for me with migraines. The last migraine I had I had an episode where I could see sound for like an hour and then last night I had one where I could see touch. It's disorienting and rather unpleasant. Can't wait to have insurance again so I can go see a doctor about this.
Ugh. I've heard of that, but (thankfully) never experienced it.

Sorry, Sharoth. I knew I was taking a risk posting the news, here. Unfortunately, this is stuff that's been sitting on my shelves for some time. If I had come up with a reason to hold onto them any longer, I'm not sure they ever would have left.

In related news, I realized a few moments ago that I left a box of books in the garage. Therefore, I have a bunch of original Deadlands RPG items I haven't offloaded. Anyone want them? If you agree to pay for the shipping, I'll box them up and send them to you.

~thinks~ Ummmm... I would be interested, but I need to see what Deadlands stuff I have in the attic. Also, if anyone lese wants them, then let them have it. I doubt that I would play Deadlands anytime soon.

P.S. - I understand about clearing out all the old stuff. There are days when I have thought about doing the same.

P.P.S. - Also, I will not have the shipping money for at least a month. The past few months have been rough on the wallet.

Frakkin insurance companies and hospitals. Hospital bills for multiple services, insurance pays some but rejects some as 'experimental'. Hospital says they coded it wrong and need to resubmit. Not sure if they ever did. Now they credit part of the $ but tack on another $400 to my total bill. 9+ months later.

Looks like phone calls tomorrow. Again. Pointless, but I gotta try.

Is the scarf long enough to cover her whole head? If not get a bigger one.

As for the Boy, get her somthing that says "mom" they love that stuff. Your sister in law eats it up, anything that says Mom will do.

Thanks, guys.

If either of you (or anyone else, here) can put these items to use, I'm glad to share them. I can put together a specific list of what I have, just in case you are interested. I took another look in the box and it's basically a bunch of the Deadlands: Hell on Earth books, an opened, but unused box set for "The Great Railwars" game, and several original Deadlands pewter minis (still in their blister packs).

No. As a matter of fact, I've kept the Witchblade Trilogy of modules for my own. It's the only Iron Kingdoms product I own.

The stuff I donated was all WotC, Legends & Lairs, or AEG supplements.

As for the Deadlands stuff, it's all the original Deadlands (1990s) products, but most of what I have left is from the "Hell on Earth" product line.

With boobs that big I really just can't imagen living on a day to day basis. What a pain in my back. :P
Hence why she lives in space? Zero gravity would help.
A girl I went to school with had that body type as a senior and junior in Highschool. She did in fact suffer from back pain and is the only woman I know of to have had a breast reduction, to get her to a DD size cup. Ah Mickie, ah puberty.

Twas a typical "ZOMG D20 STUFF RUINED MY BELOVED SETTING/GAME SYSTEM WHICH IS ROLEPLAYING BUT FOR *SMART PEOPLE*" rant that I usually get whenever I'm around people who play CoC, Gamma World, White Wolf WoD, L5R(Oh..BIG one there) or whatever RPG that had a D20 suppliment a few years back. Usualy said suppliment was my first exposure to the game with rules I recognized, and I enjoy talking to people about such stuff for the most part, but whenever I mention that I play or prefer the D20 version, I'm usually in for a disgusted sigh or a 20 minute long rant on how I'm doing it wrong.

That's too bad. I suppose there is elitism even among elites, isn't there? I mean, it's not like "dumb people" can really develop an understanding for the complexities of the d20 system, either, but there're always going to be those who need to feel that their game of choice is superior. Whatever.

I enjoyed playing Deadlands when it first came out, but not really because of the system. It was fun, but my enjoyment was due mostly to the fact that Shane Hensley was running the games for our friends in Blacksburg, VA. I got to participate in the origianl playtesting and even got a playtest credit in the rulebook. I just never did anything with it after that.

Oh...and as for shipping, I'll have to check and let you know. I'm sure I could manage a few of those flat-rate boxes. I think I have several in the garage, after my brief foray into eBay sales a couple of years ago.

I'm at work, now, but I'll try to get a list of available titles posted when I get home this afternoon. My wife will sincerely appreciate having one more box of stuff cleared out of the garage. ;-)

AAAARRRRGGGGGGHHH!!!!!!

Oh a side note, I am currently tickled pink and happy beyond all reason.

I found the Dungeon! text-based RPG online just a day or so ago. It was the first video game I ever played.

FLASHBACK TIME!!

Spoiler:
It was at least 1984. My mom was a secretary at New York Theological Seminary, and it was the first time she took me to work with her. It was my first time even being in Manhattan- I was quite used to the subway, but I was awestruck by the amount of people I encountered once I got off the platform and onto the street! The hustle and bustle, and the gigantic dead rat that had been hit by a car, leaving blood and rat-bits all over the place. I was ecstatic to be THIS far away from home, although my mom was upset when I started crying over the poor rat(although in retrospect, I was probably more upset that she said I could NOT poke it with a stick or otherwise play with the carcass). We went upstairs(I was in an actual ELEVATOR!!!! And I pressed the button all by myself!!!!!!) and mom logged in to her COMPUTER(I believe the conversation we had regarding it went something like, "I want a COMPUTER mommy!!" "You can have one when you have the $2200 dollars this thing costs."), confiding in me that the secret password was "Student". She showed me a little bit about typing, and I wrote my very first story(that I have printed out and use as a bookmark when I read, although I've misplaced it recently), Later on in the day, I was introduced to all of her bosses(mom yelled at me for chewing gum in front of one, but I was so nervous!!!!) and coworkers(including a guy from far off and mystical WISCONSIN!!!!), one of whom snuck me a small cup of coffee(I burned my tongue on it, and it tasted like CRAP!!!) I found an.. *ahem* unusual version of the Flintstones in the photocopy machine(I've been looking for that exact adult version of the comic for the past 20+ years), and we went to MCDONALDS for lunch(this is back in the day when McDonalds was a rarity for me)!!!! So naturally, by 1:15 or so, I was quite bored. Not wanting me to wander off she sat me down in front of the computer and loaded up the game that she wasn't SUPPOSED to...Dungeon!. It was hilarious. I eagerly envisioned the rooms we were in, and (since mom had to type for me), we had a good laugh at her occasional typos(to this day, we crack up over "eat lunchy"). I visited mom's job a few more times before she moved on from the seminary, and I was quite upset during one of my last visits when I discovered that the program had been deleted from the computer. I looked for it off and on again over the years, discovering ZORK! and other such games, but nothing was quite like Dungeon!. A few days ago I decided to give it a look, and for once, my google-fu produced something that wasn't ZORK!- the original Dungeon!. I leapt into it, and played until 2 in the morning, my wife mystified by my gleeful giggling and recitations of the surroundings. I feel like a kid again every time I play it, and coming from me, that's really saying something.

Very cool, FHDM.

Speaking of flashbacks,

Spoiler:
I'm finding that my daughter Natasha's love of dragons (and all the other things that "Daddy likes") is making me feel like a kid, again, too. For example, after placing the order for the various Safari dragon figurines for her Christmas present, I get really cool recommendations when I log into Amazon. Check out these awesome figures: Two-headed red dragon and Tiger Man! These things are too cool!
