There’s a fire starting in my heart
Reaching a fever pitch, it’s bringing me out the dark
Finally I can see you crystal clear
Go head and sell me out and I’ll lay your s~#@ bare

See how I leave with every piece of you
Don’t underestimate the things that I will do

There’s a fire starting in my heart
Reaching a fever pitch
And its bring me out the dark

The scars of your love remind me of us
They keep me thinking that we almost had it all
The scars of your love they leave me breathless
I can’t help feeling
We could have had it all
Rolling in the deep
You had my heart and soul
And you played it
To the beat

Baby I have no story to be told
But I’ve heard one of you
And I’m gonna make your head burn
Think of me in the depths of your despair
Making a home down there
It Reminds you of the home we shared

The scars of your love remind me of us
They keep me thinking that we almost had it all
The scars of your love they leave me breathless
I can’t help feeling
We could have had it all
Rolling in the deep
You had my heart and soul
And you played it
To the beat

Throw your soul through every open door
Count your blessings to find what you look for
Turned my sorrow into treasured gold
You pay me back in kind and reap just what you sow

We could have had it all
We could have had it all
It all, it all it all,
We could have had it all
Rolling in the deep
You had my heart and soul
And you played it
To the beat

Okay, so 2011. Looking good. Bright future.

1) Job starts on the 3rd. Genuinely excited to go into work.

2) Apartment hunting today. The one my future roommate and I are liking is open and we just have to fill out the paperwork. I've got not only my Job Offer to prove my salary meets the requirements, but a letter of recommendation from my previous landlord.

3) (see above song. Awesome)

4) Had a dream last night with a message straight from my sub-conscious. Since the divorce, I've dated a bit (one went down in flames, the others left broken-hearted women since I wasn't committing--NOT fooling around or anything, just keeping everything casual). The dream last night had two girls vying for my affection (keep it PG-13 Urizen) and one was a casual type of relationship and the other was a serious one. I chose the casual and spent most of the dream regretting I didn't choose the serious. Guess I'm ready to go back to real relationships...

5) <fanboy squeals of excitement> Apparently, if you love a game enough, study hard and eat all you vegetables, dreams come true. I've been posting over on the Shadowrun 4 official forums as FastJack and have far outstripped other posters over there (not only in quality, but also quantity). Glad to hear that things are going so well for you Ashe. :)

So I ventured into the horror that is Toys r us last night. *shudder* It was....it was.....you know, I think I'd rather not think too much about it.

Also it seems that synesthesia is becoming a new standard symptom for me with migraines. The last migraine I had I had an episode where I could see sound for like an hour and then last night I had one where I could see touch. It's disorienting and rather unpleasant. Can't wait to have insurance again so I can go see a doctor about this.

we're not. we are known for corn, pigs, and corn fed pigs.
You've also got that strange whistling noise. I can hear it when I drive through your state, but none of you seem to notice it. Weird, huh?

It's from all the corn they feed the pigs. Duh. ;P

I thought I heard at least some of the Toys R Us are open 87 straight hours starting yesterday morning. I wonder how busy it is at about 2 am?

My family's cat has diabetes. That cat is also the closest thing I have to a real life friend at the moment. Tonight, I had to give her her shot because no one else is in the house. An hour and a half later, I still haven't done it. I just can't stick the needle in. I almost had the nerve, then the dogs barked and she bolted and I had a meltdown because I've been doing this for an hour and it's probably too late at this point and now it's even later and anything that happens because of this will be entirely my fault.
Davi I understand your pain. You just have to grit your teeth and do it. I love my cat too, but if it's for the good of the cat it has to be done.

Sorry to hear this happened to you both, Davi.

Having taken care of many pets, my own and other people's, I recall a few things.

The toughest part is getting over your fear of doing too much damage with the needle, because the skin resists and you're afraid that once it finally gives to pressure, much like a levee breaking, you're going to wreck the place.

Practice on an orange a few times. The break point of orange rind and skin isn't altogether different. Once you feel you won't hurt her (Though some shots go better than others) you'll administer shots with confidence. Confidence is what makes the shots go by swimmingly.

Also, at first your cat will react poorly to being given a shot, but eventually she might even purr while you administer it. It's about making it a drama free routine. So even if she's freaking when you first go after her, you stay calm and gentle. She'll take comfort in that.

You probably this but roll the insulin, don't shake it. And make sure to clear any tiny, dangerous bubbles of air by raising the needle upward and lightly tapping the side of the hypodermic, then eject those bubbles with a short squirt.

Augh! Flaky friends are frustrating!
Now they're not coming over tonight. And we get to renegotiate a time for the second time this week since they already cancelled on me once. Well, on the bright side, I guess I no longer have such a tight schedule today. :/

Thanks for the sad deathday wishes, friend!

1. As your total opposite, this can only mean that my job is ending the 3rd, and I am quite depressed over it. Why did you go and get a job!?!? I have bills to pay, y'know!!!!!!??!

2. Fortunately, I already have an apartment, and do not need to fill out any paperwork. This makes sense, as I already have the apartment.

3. What song? It doesn't matter, it would have to be one I hated. I was not a fan of "Joss Whedon Sings The Blues". I don't think anyone was, really.

4. Apparently, since getting married, I've not been dating, and women have been turning me down in my dreams. This isn't an opposite thing, this has actually been happening. I'd love to get into some completely casual relationships, but the wife has dramatically different thoughts on that matter.

5.Whilst my hatred of 4th Ed continues, this is utterly awesome. I've seen the name of Fastjack on their messageboards, and I'm glad that you are being given the reins as it were. Click away upon the 4th Ed Shadowrun forums!!!!!

Woot, got to use my Dwarvenforge stuff in game last night for the first time. The new group was flabbergasted, they didn't even know it existed. Anyway fun was had by all even though I could only build 3 rooms and a couple passages at once they were still majorly impressed. In fact one of the new players took a round by round picture series with his iphone.

I have the classic dungeon set, I'm making another huge order in March for the classic set, I hope to complete it with this next order. I will move onto the cavern set after my big move in August.

That's really cool, Jeremy. I've been thinking about something like this for quite some time. Unfortunately, I have a hard time justifying the purchase.

I'm subscribed to every Pathfinder and Gamemastery product, right now, which means that I have WAY more stuff than I can use. I don't game often enough to put this stuff to use. Just looking at them gives me great ideas for scenarios and adventures, but I can't always put those ideas into action.

A good example is the scenario I came up with for my daughters using some of my D&D Minis and the Darklands and Dragon's Lair flip-mats. I just went through my minis and picked out ones that fit a certain theme (the girls' enemy being the dreaded Firelords), then made up a 4-encounter scenario to go with it, using the flip-mats as the setting. The girls had fun, but we used 10th level characters, so most of the abilities were way over their heads.

Bottom line: I would like to play/GM more, so I can use more of this cool stuff. And...if I can't use the cool stuff I have, I can really make a good argument for buying more toys for my RPGs. ;)

As an aside, I really would like to see more of Paizo's Gamemastery products tie directly into the adventure paths and modules. Some people might think it's cheesy advertising, but I like seeing the references to flip-mats, map packs or other Gamemastery products I can use to enhance an adventure.

Also, I'm home from work, today. I've never had a "rain day" before, but the CO decided the weather was too dangerous for folks to be on the road. Given how ridiculously stupid San Diego drivers can be when it rains, I can't say that I disagree with him.

I justify my purchases by the fact I'm not a video gamer. I have no children (yet). And I have a weekly group now. But mostly because D&D is one of the few entertainments I enjoy.

Liberty's Edge Contributor

Yeah. I'm kind of the same way. Some might say that I spend a lot on Paizo products, but other than Hero Labs data sets (which, of course, support Paizo products), I don't spend a lot of money on other stuff.

I've got tons of D&D Miniatures, which fit most of my mini needs when they arise, so I haven't had a need for much else.

I keep thinking that I'm going to get d20Pro or some other online gaming setup, but I haven't done it, yet.
