Boomerang brings back things you would hope your parents (or loved ones :P) would never see again. I never want to watch Top Cat again.

I find it's best watched in fast forward. Then you can say "Holy shit, did snakes just come shooting out of the GGBRW's astronaut helmet," back it up, and confirm that, yes, indeed, that just happened.

May have found a fix for my HD starter problem. I installed a push button switch on the starter. Now all I need is for it to act up again so I can test it out.
Of course if it doesn't work, the placement of said button will leave me with only the option of push starting it. And that, is not fun.
Why would HoustonDerek need a switch installed in him? How would you go about push starting him anyway? ;)

- The Earth suffered almost complete destruction in the far off year of 1994 when a comet sucked off the atmosphere!
- The Moon was broken in half by the comet that destroyed the Earth.
- 2,000 years later, Earth is full of magic and the ruins of civilization (which ruins are still standing, mostly undamaged, despite the passage of so much time).
- Thundarr fought a wizard wearing an astronaut helmet, who turned out to be, I s&## you not, a robot, who then turned out to be a glowing green brain in a robot body.
- That point bears repeating: they fought a glowing, green, pulsating brain robot wizard (GGPBRW).
- While fighting the GGPBRW, Thundarr cuts off its robot hand, to which the GGPBRW responds "You cannot hurt me." Uh, he just cut off your f~!@ing hand - I think he can hurt you.
- While in a spaceship, going into orbit, they cut a hole in the ground, and leaped out, on horseback, landing in the water, and suffering no adverse effects.
- He has a light saber.
- They fought rat men who were riding motorcyles and wielding clubs that shoot laser beams in the ruins of Manhattan.
- A bad guy animiated the Planet of the Apes-esque ruins of the Statue of Liberty, which attacked the heroes, including by shooting flames from its torch.
- Say it with me: Robot wizard.
It was his "fabulous Sun Sword".
I loved that show. I was 11 when it first came out. I'll admit that watching it now is a little painful. But at least it didn't have quite so many corny "...and the moral of the story today is..." stuff that was in so many other cartoons of the times (like Thundercats). I vaguely remember the werewolf episode, the episode in Las Vegas, the giant statue of liberty that shot flames, the episode where Ariel got old and shrank, and wasn't there some "race" episode?
And what kid didn't want a lizard/dinosaur/horse?
I'm actually very surprised that it isn't out on DVD yet...

I'm such a good FAWTLy friend.
And as we see here the people of FAWTL greet each other in the traditional way, with a series of several swift kicks to the groin.

Well, you start with a trip maneuver and if that doesn't work you push him down the damn hill...
Or I could be talking about my Harley you smart arse. :p

Also, I love that show. I've commanded the puny AI that operates my DVR to record every episode that airs.
WTF, first you savage my childhood, then you try to age me 5 years. I'm old enough already!!

This remembering Thundarr makes me think about all the DVD sets that aren't out on DVD yet.

Like I always say, If you're old enough to get into the strip clubs, then you're old enough.
Of course I also say, If she's old enough to drive, then she's old enough to....

In my first 3.0 campaign, the second adventure involved the PCs finding and rescuing their horses. One of the horses was an "orc warhorse" and I described it just like the horse from Thundarr.
The player loved that horse.
What manner of mutant horse is this? No matter! Ookla! You ride the one horn!
Ariel! Ookla! RIIIIDE!

That falls in the category of so bad it should be purged from humanity, lest it bring shame to our civilization upon being viewed by our descendants.

That movie is the biggest piece of junk ever to his celluloid. I would rather be tortured with Plan nine from outer space or just about any Ed Wood flick then to suffer another minute of that crappolla.

The scene where they time the theft to the song and snap their fingers to the beat the entire way through had me rolling.

I still wish to make an 80's themed restaurant and have a Max Headroom video display where a person is hired to speak through it to the people in the lobby. Kind of like an adult Chucky Cheese.

There is not enough brain bleach in the world to remove that from my poor head.
