Hello all.
I'm thinking about getting an iPad. Doing a search I don't really see much discussion on how well Paizo pdf's display on the device. Does anyone have any experience with this? Can it handle the big books (Core, Bestiary, ect). I may be moving across country in about a year and would really like to keep from adding any more weight in books, especially as it already looks like I'll have to do a major purge of my current collection.

If you are happy with a 3 second delay to bring up the front page of the Core Rules and less than a second to switch between pages, then you should be fine. I'm using Good Reader on an iPad and I'm very happy with it.

I use also GoodReader with it (iBook 'should' add pdf in the next version) and I'm pretty happy with it.
The Core Rulebook is the worst - as it is pretty big. So you won't have such a big delay on smaller files - like PFS modules. For the first time ever I didn't waste paper and ink and did run a module directly from iPad instead of a printed copy.
There is one issue - headings seems to use a strange font and the 'a' gets garbled - making a lot of the headings near unreadable. This is a known font issue.
So all in all - it's great as a subscriber as I like to read paper - but I can take the whole collection with me. And it is also great to browse the message boards here :)

I got lucky and got an iPad as a birthday present.
After searching (and buying) a lot of PDF readers, I finally found an APP called: "iAnnotatePDF".
You can mark text, insert commentaries, and do notes via "handwriting".
Sure, flipping through a pdf takes a bit time, but during sessions going from one page to the next is easy. iAnnotatePDF offers you to insert the number of the page you need, and jumps to it. You can also decide which color the "textmarker" should have.
I presently use the single file of SINS OF THE SAVIORS, where I mark stuff and insert the monster stats of monsters which are only found in the Bestiary, not in the adventure itself.
Another advantage is, that you can open different pdf and they are shown in their own taps.
I really love it.
I am presently copying my single files of the CoreBook onto my iPad, cause the CoreBook is really a nuisance (to big, to grafix heavy). :)
All in all, I can only recommend it. Especially if you use it for Society play...

I always prefer dead tree versions when reading and I love being able to pull tomes off my shelf, but the viewing experience offered by the iPad, along with portability and saving some wear and tear on my books has really made me appreciate pdf's more. I'm getting more "value" now from Paizo including them with my subscription and I've even started buying pdf's on their own specifically because the iPad has made me more likely to use them.

This. Now just waiting for one that uses Android.

The PFR app is now iPad enabled :-)
It contains the OGL part of the Pathfinder PRD, and has bookmarking and search. It's a useful app on the iPhone, but works really nicely on the iPad.
