Newbie GM Rewards question regarding access

GM Discussion

Sovereign Court 1/5

Hello, everyone. My group has just started playing Pathfinder Society adventures and a question came up concerning GM rewards. I have searched the forums and could not find the answer to our specific question. I was hoping some one here could provide some clarification. We understand that, currently, GMs receive +1 xp. 100% max gold for the tier, and full PA. Furthermore, we understand that GMS do not receive "special boons". What we are not clear on is regular access. Do GMs get access to routine treasure on the chronicle sheet for purchasing?

Thanks for helping us out!

Yes Siriak, GMs do get access to the equipment for purchase off the Chronicle sheet, within the tier his/her PC falls into. You read the rules correctly.

Don't forget that, for example, if you run a scenario in sub-tier 4-5 and your only PFS character is lower than 4th level, then you do not apply that XP, PA, or gold to your character or buy anything from that chronicle sheet until that character is at least 4th level.

Thanks for the replies. That clears it up!

Close. If he's running a Tier 1-5 scenario in sub-Tier 4-5 and has a level 1 PC, he can apply the Tier 1-2 chronicle to his PC, but not the higher sub-Tier in which he's GMing.

Since that is true, and did I remember that after reading your post, in my example does a GM have the option of holding a chronicle sheet from the sub-tier 4-5 to apply to his character once it is that high a level, or does the GM have to take the sub-tier 1-2 chronicle sheet right away because his character qualifies immediately for it?

The option you're thinking of only applies if there is no appropriate sub-tier. For instance, if you're GMing a mod that only caters to tier 5-9 you could apply credit in the future to your current level 1 character.
