Straightened up some of the character page cells, changing a few around and reformatting others

Would someone who is using the site template mind seeing if the character page template (ie, the one found on the Player pages is available to you when you create a new page? Or if you can change a current page to that template? Thanks in advance!

Monthly bump with a repost of the original post for anyone who hasn't seen the template and might benefit from it.
--------------------------------------------------------------
I've been using Google Site Builder for some time now, mainly to make sites for my various play-by-post and home campaigns. I've made my site template available for any of you who would like to give it a go. Google has done a great job of making a powerful yet simple website building tool; and better yet, it's free.
You can check it out here:
http://sites.google.com/site/pathfindertemplate/
If you have a Google ID and you are logged in, you should be able to click a button at the top right of that page to create your own site from the template. Whether you have an ID or not, you can look through the template to see what you think.
The page works equally well for play-by-post or face-to-face campaigns, and I hope you'll find that it contains some useful features no matter what you do.
The template conforms to Paizo's Community Use policies and is a registered project
If you have any thoughts I'd love to hear them; just post them here. Thanks!

Hey, I checked this out, and made a site to play around with abit, and I must say, pretty snazzy! a few thoughts:
House rules/homebrew section would be nice. I often use homebrew races and always have at least a few house rules.
A place to upload a map would be nice.
The character names on the nav bar change from player # to the character's name, but then change back. not sure why, but it would be nice to have the character's names on the nave bar instead of player 1, 2 3 ect...
I will let you know if I think of anything else

1.I actually went back and forth on whether to include a house rules section or not. As you keep playing with it, you'll see how easy it is to add new pages, and the final idea was that anyone who wanted that could add it relatively easily. I wanted to keep it to elements that I thought everyone would use and could then customize from there.
2.The Library page is for exactly the purpose of uploading things like maps and handouts.
3.I'm not sure how that's happening, and I haven't been able to replicate the issue. Once you change the header on each page to the character's name, it should then show up that way in the nav bar indefinitely. That's where the nav bar gets its information on what to display. The only think I can think of is that it might be some cache or cookie issue with your browser.
Thanks for taking the time to bring those things up, and I'm definitely glad you're finding some use for the template. If you think of anything else just let me know! Thanks.

Still problems with the nav bar. it keeps changing back. I got the library section figured out, haven't had a chance to use it.

I'm not ultra website-savvy, but I was having this same issue. I went to the Site Layout. Under Navigation (like the fourth one), I clicked "edit," and under where it says "Title: Navigation," I clicked "display title" and the problem went away.
Also, kudos to the template. It's amazing! I am trying to find a good chat to embed into it right now for a play-by-chat game I'm running. Any suggestions?

Thanks! And as for chat, check out http://www.chatzy.com/
It's easy to set up a free chat room there, and you just give out the url to your players and they can easily join right in.
The free version does not allow you to embed the chatroom in an iframe on the google site, but they have a premium membership that eliminates ads, gives you more features, and does let you embed it in the google site. Depending on which option you go with, the premium membership is between 2 and 3 dollars a month.
Just let me know if you have any more questions!
Also, added a pdf to the library of the template with printable spell area-of-effect templates. https://sites.google.com/site/pathfindertemplate/the-story/library/SpellAre aTemplates.pdf

I love chatzy, but I've been hesitant to pay for an account. Do you have a paid room or know someone who does? Is it really worth it?

Well, where it would be worth it would be the ability to embed the paid room in an iframe on the Google site. If you don't mind going to the chatzy site, I don't seem much of a reason to get a paid account. Also, paying gets rid of the ads, but they are not obtrusive or offensive anyway

One thing that people might be interested in is Google's Shared Spaces. Basically, they took the applets from Wave and made them individually available and shareable. You can embed them into your Google Site as well! Very cool stuff. Just exploring this myself, and can't really include it as part of the template since that would have my account linked to all the shared spaces used. But check out this page for a list of the gadgets available.. http://sharedspaces.googlelabs.com/gallery/
You can add them to your Site by going to Edit Page... Insert... More Gadgets... Add Gadget By URL and paste the URL from that site above after you create a shared space.
Sorry if that's confusing!

How do I get it so that my players can post to the website?
While you're logged in, go to the top right where it says More Actions. At the bottom of the list you should see Site Permissions. You can invite your players from there. You can also set whether your site is visible to the public or only to people you invite.

Is it possible to add more rows in the character sheet for bonus feats?
Sorry it's taken me a while to get back with you.
It certainly is possible, and is pretty easy. Once you've created your site with the template, go to the character sheet you want to edit. Click to place the cursor on the last row of feats. At top left of the screen, select Table... Insert Row Below. That's all there is to it!

Made some significant changes, incorporating info from the d20pfsrd.com and linking over to it for descriptions of equipment, classes, spells, etc.
Everyone at d20pfsrd has done an incredible job for the pathfinder gaming community. I can't imagine there are many people who will read this that haven't checked it out, but head on over if that's somehow the case!
Again, here's the template https://sites.google.com/site/pathfindertemplate/
The Classes, Skills, Feats, and all the Equipment sections were updated and can be accessed from the nav bar on the left of the main page.
