Event Sign-Up Issue

PaizoCon General Discussion

I seem to have a problem with my registration. I 'think' I got into Greg A. Vaughn's audience group of 20 for Twisting Plots, but due to a conflict with a seminar at the same time it's not on my schedule.

It does say that there is a conflict with Creating Evocative Locations. However, when I try to drop the conflicting seminar it drops, but even though the option to add Twisting Plots is available, adding Twisting Plots won't save...

Anyone else have a similar problem?

Somewhat similar. I'm buddied with my fiancé who is volunteering. It auto-signed me up to play PFS during one of his slots that he's DMing, so I dropped the PFS game to add Fight Club and a few other slots. But now it's giving me an error saying I have a conflicting schedule, but I've gone over it about 5 times and I can't see anything conflicting!

I'm also trying to sign up for some events and getting some conflicting issues. Tried to switch out Green Blood on Black Rock for Paizo Fight Club 2 since there was an open space. But it didn't seem to "stick." As in I would choose it and save changes, but when I went down to the Fight Club it wouldn't have a check mark. I resigned up for Green Blood, but now it's giving me a conflicting message about Fight Club.

Conversely I was simply trying to sign up for Greg Vaughn's Twisting Plots (the twisting part) as there was one open slot. But it didn't seem to "stick" either.

I'm having similar issues as well. I logged in this morning to see (to my elation), that one of Sean's games (Suicidal Strikeforce) had an open spot, but I can't seem to sign up for it. I check the box, save the changes, and it's not added to my schedule. Nothing is showing on my schedule as a conflict, and I get no error text from the site, the preference just simply doesn't "stick".

Attempted with multiple browsers, logging out then back in to my Paizo account, etc. All with no change.

me and my buddie are also having issues with fight club 2, sucidal strike forace, and twisting plots.

at least its all the same games that are having problems? means at least 2 of us looking at each seat though. :(

Similar thing happened to me and my wife, at least in terms of the initial lottery, contrary to what was written about buddies on the board she's been auto signed up for both the PFS events I volunteered for. She hasn't tried dropping the PFS events yet... but the damage seems to already have been done. As a result of the glitch it doesn't seem that she was given any chance to get into the Miniatures related events or the fiction workshop (Correct me if I'm wrong in this assumption) She rated those events as 3-4 as they were the ones she was really interested in.

I think this system needs to be overhauled, I'm pretty irked. Due to this setup/glitch my wife, whose interest in PaizoCon is already a bit tentative is getting penalized for my volunteering for PFS games.

Hey, Maugan22. I did get a seat at one of Sean's miniature sessions, but I got a lot of my choices. Once they work out the bugs, I'd be happy to surrender my seat there to your wife.

Awesome Chris! Thanks so much!

The issue some of you have been seeing where you have been unable to save when selecting an event has been resolved. Without going into too much detail, the system is supposed to make conflicting seats available to others. This is why these events showed one (or sometimes two) empty seats. However, a bug was stopping others from actually being able to sign up for these seats.

Hey Ross, one other thing I noticed, though I know it is too late to look into for this year, but you may want to look into it for next year.

The seminars that were initially listed in the lottery but were then removed show up as lottery assigned items for me (I had ranked a bunch of seminars as alternates for games while they were still listed as lottery items). Not sure it affected my lottery results, but definitely something you may want to look into.
