I think someone has been playing with their copy of the Necronomicon.

Thats a little close to paizocon dont ya think?

I'd go with flawed copies of either the Book of Eibon or Cultes Maleficorum rather than the Necronomicon.

Or the Mi-Go - the mountains are right there ya know...

Some powerful Forces are definitely at work and on the move.

Whether they are for us or against us at this time we still do not know.
Apparently, at least one group has successfully allowed something-from-elsewhere to gain access to our plane.

Questions:
o Is this fungus evidence of one beast, or are there several beasts roaming about?
o Perhaps, it is just one "thing" teleporting around, and every time it does this fungus remains as an after-effect of its magic?

I keep hearing a mad man scream, “There is no cabal.” But his mantra only reinforces what many suspect, that secret societies are maneuvering and gaming for influence in >our realm< .

Huh, I thought the fungus was just another Vegepygmy recruitment drive... kinda like a PBS pledge drive, only less annoying.

{checks Wikipedia} Frogs are dying from fungus infestations too. Hmmm, perhaps it's an anti-Slaadi plot! I blame the Jacks and Kobold Cleaver.

I promise I was not making an offering to the Great Old Ones in the kitchen.

One has been led to believe the cooking of the Great Lilith is both incorrupt and inviolate.

Clearly, had such an offering been proffered, no mear fungus would have the summoning resulted.

Hail and praise Liliths cookies.........Ia!

That would probably be the most delicious way to go though.

Mmmm, Great Old One baked delights... {drools}

Even I roll ones on my Craft (cooking) checks sometimes. :P

Perhaps my offering went very very right and I have yet to see the boon from it? :-k

Perhaps. Or something much worse averted has been. This fungus being a side affect but of the failed breach in our planar matter.

We should have a cookie and wait. Is that possible?

Yes. Yes it is.

*shares fresh chocolate cherry oatmeal cookies*

According to this news article, it appears this evil-force is expanding its territory's southern border.

Male found dead in S.F., cause not known

Was the soul's energy used to power a magical artifact?

Have there been anymore out breaks?

On a similar note, this fungal threat originated in New York State and spread southwest towards Oklahoma:

Called White Nose Syndrome, it is killing off large portions of local bat populations.

With no bats to eat insects, could insects start to eat us?

What would desire to unleash such a plague?

You know I never meant for the experiment to go that way. My bad.
