Ok, just curious here...

Am I the only one who's more interested in Asoka's fate than in Anikin's? Also I'm kind of irritated at how we're getting more and more "You've picked up some of your Master's bad habits." It makes Episode III look even worse. "Well, young Skywalker. Your apprentice is gone, and you suck as a teacher. Very well, we'll put you on the Council!"

Oh, and the pirate is becoming my favourite recurring 'villian'.
"I assume you are leading us into a trap."
"Of course! They are inside waiting for you."
"Why are you telling us this, then?"
"Because I want you to know, I have no part in this."

The whole thing with Boba Fett was a pretty good storyline. I think we need to see more of Plo Klun because he offers a good counterpoint to Anikan.

+1 on what you said, Mr. Morris.

All the Boba episode did was make me feel less bad for what happened to his father's killer.

Spoiler:
"You killed my father, you bastard!!! I'll never forgive you!"

"Well, you're gonna have to."

WHAT A JERK!!!!!!!!

It's funny, the jedi who don't get the roles in the movies are more 'Jedi-like'? How I expect Jedi to act?

Spoiler:
I mean Plo Klun goes in not drawing attention to himself, only flashing his light sabre (off) to the bartender to let him know what he is and then just talks. No mind tricks, no intimidation. Heck, I bet he'd have paid the bartender if he knew anything. Even his advice to Asoka to just listen would have worked if she actually had a good perception check.

Or Aayla Secura's actions in Jedi Crash/Defenders of Peace, or Tera Senuba...

You oppose this with Qui-gon's lying, cheating and blatent mind control in Ep I or Obi-wan's using mind control to get rid of that guy (and deprive him of his livelyhood!) in Ep II...

And yes, I like the Boba Fett bit. It made him more 'real' as a kid.

Im wondering if in season 3 the clones will be wearing the newer armor. Or if the jedi will be flying the new interceptors. And if the clone fighter pilots will have those helmets where their faces arent covered.

All the armor and ships are still episode 2 style.

And yeah Ahsoka's fate has me very curious. Will Cartoon Network have the balls to kill the young plucky padawan that was created for young girls to look up to? Or will she just graduate to the rank of Jedi Knight and leave Anakin to take on her own adventures and then mysteriously never me mentioned in Episode 3?

There is a rumor going around that Ashoka is going to appear in one of the books set in the Fate of the Jedi series. If so it would establish her as one of the 150 or so Jedi that actually survived the Purge.

I'd be torn. I like Ashoka (yea yeah, let the ridicule begin) but she needs to die. If for no other reason, the personality she has seems to say she'd go hunt down Darth Vader herself.

I agree, to an extent. I honestly thought that was going to be the role Jar-Jar played, but then people would have cheered at his demise.

I like Ashoka too, although it took me a while to warm up to her. My wife sees the bloodthirst in her, and likes her too.

I would be torn too. I would rather have her fate remain unknown.

All you have to do is look at the writing and directing credits. Lucas may have a hand as writer in all 44 episodes listed in IMDB, but other writers have their hands in as well as having different people directing. Contrast that with the prequel trilogy where the only non-Lucas writing credit is someone who helped him work on the third draft of the screenplay.

Lucas isn't the kind of writer who produces his best stuff alone.

I understand (I don't want Snips to die), but, as I understand how she's written, she doesn't have the 'don't seek revenge' vibe going. I can't picture her going into hiding. I picture her hunting down Darth Vader and getting her butt handed to her.

Amusingly, my favourite episode this season was the one with the farmer-clone.

Plus her death and possible fall would be one way of explaining how Anakin went from Clone Wars cocky to Revenge of the Sith whiny.

He was always whiny. "Master Obi-Wan doesn't think I'm ready, blah blah blah." He just covered it better in Attack of the Clones.

I was bummed that Ashoka survived the movie that launched the series and root for her death in every episode. She stinks of "pre-packaged for ease of marketing and demographics" worse than Spyke from X-Men Evolution.

And the nicknames. *shudder* Snips? Skyguy?

At this point, I mostly watch for Obi Wan and other jedi. Annie or Ashoka episodes I tend to skip. The clone focused ones are okay to decent, as long as you ignore how badly they are treated every other time they appear and are not the focus of the episode.

The Yoda episodes have been the best so far IMO.

I also enjoyed the episode where the bounty hunters and the three jedi teamed up gainst Hondo. It was a great 30 minute homage to the Seven Samurai.

Anybody else notice Luke's copilot from the battle of Hoth in Empire (I think his name is Dack, but don't have time to google) was a young clone in the Boba Fett episode? He was the "good" kid, and said something like. "I feel like I could take on the whole droid army myself."

I'm pretty sure they're not the same character, because due to the Clone Troopers' rapid aging the clone would be too old by the time of ESB(like the equivalent of 50 years or so). Also Dak doesn't look or sound like Jango.

I thought I read somewhere a few years back that Ashoka could be a character that appears in the live action ST TV series that may someday actually get made, as one of the Jedi that survived the purge.

Star Wars...

Where everything we hate is commonplace: bigotry, racism, child soldiers, slavery, genocide, Uwe Boll movies...

Wait a minute...that sound just like this galaxy.

I don't care for your tone, Master Flagg.

Report to Tier 66 for...questioning.

You're right, I just checked IMDB. The character's name is Jax and the quote was probably just an intentional allusion to Dak.

Yes, actually made Donna sit and watch that one. Had to explain what I meant when I said "Kirosawa (sp?) did it better."

However, in the Dark Times comic, which takes place between ANH and ESB Luke is accompanied by an older man named Able who always calls him General. When he finally sacrifices himself so the other Rebels can escape he flashes back to his life as a clone trooper and it is hinted at that Able may be Captain Rex.

Yes he did, but I have also seen some worse like the Magnificent Seven television series.

hugs

I did the same to my wife, who complained and b!tched the whole time about how Kurosawa was iconic and that there was no way Lucas could NOT have been inspired by him. *sigh*

Oh, she liked that one, for one reason...

Ron Pearlman. Donna had a major fixation for that man. She kept wanting to remember to record Sons of Anarchy just because he was in it.

Liberty's Edge

I prefer the cell animated Clone Wars done by Genndy Tartakovsky. The were everything Star Wars used to be IMO. That, and it was like Samurai Jack with lightsabres. :)
