I placed an order (#1395984) eight days ago and the transation is still pending. Is there something I should be doing? Did I miss a step in ordering?
If your order is not something put out by paizo:
1) go to the product page
2)put it in your cart
3)click view cart
4)right next to the picture, there will most likely be a sentence along the lines of "Usually ships from our warehouse in 4 to 9 business days". This represents the amount of time it takes to get from the distributor to Paizo, so that they can process the order.

I took a look at your order and, to be honest, I have no idea why it hasn't shipped yet.
I am turning the order over to Gary to see what he can figure out. Once that has been accomplished, I will make sure we get it shipped out to you as soon as possible. By which I mean tomorrow, if not today.
I apologize for the mysterious delay.

It's my subscribtion to the Adventure Path, so it's got nothing to do with other distributors.

Thanks for checking up on that. This is the first thing I've ever ordered from Paizo, so I wasn't sure what the waiting time was on shipping.
So it's some kind of mystery delay. Is there something that I can do to prevent that? Should I expect these sorts of delays on future orders?

Lol... so much for our first impression! :/
This is most definitley not the sort of delay you should expect from us. We are still in the process of determining the reason for this delay, so it remains unknown whether there is some way to have prevented it.
You should always expect that the estimate we give in your confirmation email do be a good estimate.
