The woman curses as the knife embeds itself in her shoulder and raises her staff, and a burst of telekinetic force rips through the entrance to the tower. As she advances, holding her staff menacingly, her two guards launch forward and smash into the two members of Cannith, knocking Amyrielle back while the other occupies Boxer.

Khashana rounds the corner to confront a foe she already knows in her heart was here. She narrows her gleaming eyes and thinks to the enemy leader, You shall not prevail here, perverted one.

She concentrates her will and attempts to send a confusing melange of images into the enemy female's mind.

Can I tell if she is an Inspired?

Minor - Distract on Mallora - grants CA to next creature to attack. Which would be me... Mind Thrust (Augment 1) vs her Will.

Inspired, but not possessed by a quori. She's no better than a similarly-skilled human, really.

Shift to F10. Life Tapping Darts, targeting Reflex, vs Mallora. 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (12) + 4 = 16. On hit: 2d10 + 4 ⇒ (6, 8) + 4 = 18 and Boxer gains 10 temp hp. On miss: Half damage and Boxer gains 5 temp hp. Also, I plan to Action Point, but what I do depends on how this resolves, so I want to hold that to see.

The woman falls to the ground.

Amyrielle's wand touches Boxer's back and she empowers the warforged with protection. Some of the magic leaps from him into an enemy with with a blast of thunder.

Thundering Armor. Boxer has +1 AC until EOMNT. I also make a secondary attack vs a foe adjacent to him. I pick the P at E12. Targets Fort. 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (9) + 4 = 13. On hit: 1d8 + 4 ⇒ (6) + 4 = 10 thunder damage and push him to D13.

I cannot tell! I- aghh! Khashana's thoughts turn into a jumble of untranslatable sounds, colours and emotions. They are distinctly alien to Gabrielle, but she gathers that it may be a manifestation of Khashana's anger.

Enraged, the guards lash out at Boxer and Amyrielle.

Meanwhile, Lord ir'Gadden swings at the peasants trying to abduct him.

Gurdang traces a rune of blue fire in the air and an identical rune appears on Amyrielle. Minor action - Rune of Mending (protection) - Amyrielle can spend a surge and myself and each ally in burst 5 (that's all of us) gains a +1 to all defenses until the end of my next turn.
That done, he turns and pulls his hammer and smashes the ground sending white flames through the gap in the wall. Minor action - draw hammer. Flames of Purity (protection) vs. the P in C8's AC: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (3) + 7 = 10
Flames of Purity (protection) vs. the P in D8's AC: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (10) + 7 = 17
1d10 + 6 ⇒ (7) + 6 = 13 fire damage, and B heals 3.
Allies adjacent to me gain resist 2 to all damage.

Another of the controlled peasants crumples under the blow.

S2 also takes a -2 on attacks, all effects EOMNT.

While the sergeant is hit, the peasants still advance on the party.

Meanwhile, large bolts of lightning rain down on the Cyran countryside, illuminating the ever-thickening fog. A few of the distant specks you presume are Brelish turn to flee, but the Cyrans fight on. After all, where could they run to?

The peasant is swiftly thrown to the ground by Boxer.

That 5 damage to Gabrielle last turn didn't happen.

I've never rolled two crits in an encounter before. Controlled Peasant gets 24hp full in the back.

Another peasant falls and the sergeant takes another futile swing at the warforged holding him in a headlock.

Khashana falls back as the enemy presses forward, focusing her will to smashing the mind of one of the foemen.

The last man seems to just barely be holding onto consciousness. Lord ir'Gadden fires a bolt of magic at one of the peasants.
