Do the spells etherealness, ethereal jaunt, or shadow walk function in the Outer Sphere? I.e., do the Outer Sphere planes have ethereal or shadow transitive demiplanes?
They do not work out there. Spells that require the ethereal plane or the shadow plane only work in the inner sphere.

Funny I was thinking about that the other day. The cosmological set up would imply that such spells could be cast in the outer sphere, since it the out sphere is connected with the inner sphere. Do spell keys exist or something similar that would allow such magics to work?

Nope. Not yet at least. The etheral and shadow spells work pretty much the same way they've always worked in D&D; they don't at all outside of the inner planes.
But ghosts? They can exist anywhere now that they're not connected to the Ethereal Plane anymore. Yay!

Wow, I didn't realize that. I might have to make some changes to my ninja conversion for pathfinder...maybe make his abilities incorporeal based instead of ethereal based. That would let him use his ghost walk on any Plane too, muahaha.

Thanks. For completeness, are there any other core spells that explicitly do not function in the Outer Sphere for this reason?

I would absolutely do that. Being incorporeal doesn't automatically mean you're partially in the ethereal, and in Pathifnder, we've specifically moved AWAY from that idea precisely because that makes it complicated to have incorporeal effects outside of the inner planes. The link between incorporeality and the ethereal plane is really just a flavor artifact left over from 1st edition, when the rules didn't really have a centralized method of handling incorporeal effects.

Thanks for the confirmation! I actually almost didn't go with the change because I remembered the monk's Empty Body ability. That ability lets a monk go ethereal, and I had considered Ghost Walk to be a lesser version of Empty Body. I guess the two abilities really have two different themes and purposes though, even if a ninja is basically a rogue/monk.

I would think anything with the illusion (shadow) descriptor wouldn't work. So at the least shadow evocation and shadow conjuration, shades, project image, simulacrum.
I'm sure I am forgetting some...
edit: review of spell list found no other shadow spells, but a couple of ethereal spells: phase door and secret chest.

That's another one that's not all-encompassing, if I recall.
Teleport makes someone disappear from one spot and reappear in another. They use whatever plane you're on when you cast the spell and whatever plane you're on when you get where you're going.
