Silver Crusade

Going to make a Summoner for Kingmaker AP. Does Augment Summoning work on the Elidion?

Thank you.

No, it works for his summon sla's but the official response is no to augment summoning working on the eidolon.

Was putting the character together and did want to add something that was not suppose to be.

You can however use the feat for your Summon Monster spells including the spell-like abilities.

For those that have play tested a summoner, Is the Augment Summoning worth it? Its two feats and you can only have one of your SLA's up at a time. I know its +2 hit & +2 dmg, and a few hit points but i feel the feats could be better spent somewhere else.

Yes spend them elsewhere.

I built the summoner without the summon monster spells...
making it N/A for my character.

Yes.

You may have only one of your SLAs up at a time but you can spam freely with any SMonster spells.

i'm playing one and I'd say yes. A large part of the utility is the standard action summon, and the extra hp has helped out a lot.

My DM also let me take imbue summon as the monster feats (3/day) which is great, except for my poor spell slots. My biggest complaint is lackluster 4th level spells so far.

I actually saw direct evidence of this in a playtest. I had a summoner and a conjurer in a playtest game i ran. The summoner had augment summoning, the conjurer did not. They both ended up summoning the same monsters twice, the summoner's performed MUCH better. You would be surprised how much that +2 to hit made a difference. And while you can only have one sla up at a time, you will likely have one in every fight. Something that gives you +2 to anything you do ALL THE TIME, is worth it. Plus you have a least a couple good conjuration spells that benefit from spell focus conjuration, that can make that part of it less painful.

So, I went with halfling Summoner---Story is he comes from a group whose rage manifests into a real creature. I went with the Biped power attack, bite, improved damage claws, reach. thought about doing 2 summoner levels to every 1 barbarian for fluff.

Summoner/ high str and chr/ dex and con next. What combat feat should I take.

How about Mounted Combat? You can ride your eidolon around, and potentially negate one attack against it per round. You might switch the eidolon to quadruped form, but I don't think there's any rule that says you can't ride it in biped form, MasterBlaster style.

The summoner has quite a few Conjuration spells on their list, so Spell Focus (Conjuration) isn't exactly wasted for them, either.

Which of those you'd use have a saving throw?

I agree that Augment Summoning is certainly worth it. The con bonus adds quite a lot to their use as meat shields.

Glitterdust, Stinking Cloud, Cloudkill.

Of these, I see Glitterdust being the easiest one to get into your spells known, the others are competing with, at their levels, some significant competition.
