Off topic (imagine that), I have heard from a second hand source (my wife heard it from a gay man) that Rick Perry is actually gay. Apparently his family is just a political front. I would absolutely love the irony of this, but I am skeptical.
Can anyone confirm or deny?

A lot of rumors like that have been going around for years. The closest thing to a confirmation I got was talking with some of the DPS guys working the overnight shift at the capitol (a patrol area that covers most of downtown, the capitol and the governor's mansion). Who really knows, Perry is easily one of the most secretive politicians in recent history. I think the rumor began while he was having marital problems.

I don't know or much care about his sexual proclivities, but my sister worked him in the Texas university system, and she says the guy is backstabbing POS, and she's hard to rile up. (She was the good sibling:)

yeah, it's been the conventional wisdom for several years that Mr. Good Haircut is gay. There are a lot of people on both sides of the fence that can't wait to say 'Adios mofo' right back to him.
