Silver Crusade

Hi all! What did I miss?

Silver Crusade

My partner's brother's wedding last night was really nice. The ceremony was lovely and went without a hitch, and the reception was downright swanky. Everyone had a really good time.

Well, I was hoping to use that cash to spend on booze, food, and hookers
What? No blow?
That's from the hooker. ZING!
LOL! Good one.

wow just wow.

I think I saw it all then...

I should know better.

Yes, you should. ;)

Edit: After reading the poodle thread, nothing else on here should shock you.

I tried to forget the poodle thread. It gives me nightmares, and I do not mean the fiery demonic horse either.

Tuesday be the day our Monkey Lord doth celebrate the anniversary of his ascension. On that day his minions shall fill the skies with beaten wing. Lo to those stuck on the ground.

Forecast for Tuesday in the Cod of Cape; morning sun and intermittent showers of monkey poop in the afternoon.

It will be worse then the pigeon droppings.

Howdy folks. Just got back from Delaware, where some friends and I visited the Dogfish Head. They do a 30 or so minute tour of the facility, then you hang out in the gift shop/bar and sample up to four beers.

After that, we went to the Dogfish Head brew pub, had dinner, watched the Preakness, then strolled along the nearby boardwalk.

After all that, we retired to a condo belonging to one of the guy's parents, where we gamed until after midnight.

Slept, then drove back this morning.

Wow. That sounds fantastic.

I have always had this odd thing for weddings. I hold an unreasonably romantic ideal about them.

I am glad it went well.

Wrapped up the campaign last night just in time for the summer break. Our Ptolus campaign is not finished, just on hold while two friends of mine take their children out to LA for acting classes.

Onward to the summer campaign!

I think it can not possibly be unreasonable to have romantic feelings for or about a wedding.

At my wedding the justice of the peace could not find the place and gave up and left for his golf date. We had a minister show up at the last possible moment. as horrid as it felt even the down parts turned out to make it incredibly romantic.

Having a beer post. Harp Lager.

Uh-oh, I just jinxed the Puffin.

I've been interleaving computer time with him to get anything done on my campaigns, and I absolutely cannot get the printer he uses to feed paper. He's got the touch; I do not. I am happy now.

Everyone sounds jazzed about the mini-FAWTL con in MB next weekend. Hope you guys have a great nerdly time! And congrats to Doc Mairk on the offishul awarding of the PhD. Bet the robes looked splendid, kinda like a Blood Cultist of Vol.

Pretty smashing combo, I must say. Only if that was portable. :D

The leafy one ... he's looking like he's wearing Superman's bathrobes. :P

..and on that note, hope everyone's Sunday is going well. I'll be signing off as her family's going to be pouring in here for dinner, then it's off back on the road north home.

Guh, rototilling today. Man I don't know how the medieval peasants did it back in the day. If I had to turn all that earth by hand I'd be on a slab by now. Ah well, back at it ..

I still want to be independently wealthy so I would not have to work at all.

True, but I know that I can pull off not working on some Mondays. I don't think Ii will ever be able to pull off getting by without working at all.

Check out FB, he looks like he's from the rennaissance.

Leonardo, eat your heart out!

Heh. That was fast! And you're right, Puffy: wearing it, I feel like I should be in one of Holbein's portraits. I have yet to sell the wife on the necessity of an oil portrait...

Superman...well, the colors.

Heh. There's something to that, too. And my dad threw a celebratory luncheon in a private room in Maggiano's, hosted by my wife, so there's got to be something there. If I can't get a job as a tenure track Prof with this get-up, I'm going for gourmet pizza chef.

I gotta admit, your mustache is awesome. I have 'stache envy. :(

I had left my AC off for the whole day until I noticed the temp had climbed to 80 degrees fahrenheit. Then I turned it on but just realized that it still was really warm but the AC was not running.

:(

Double checking the thermostat led me to realize that I had turned the heat on somehow instead of turning on the AC. *facepalm*

It is cooling off in here now. :)

Looks good, even if it's not the Blood Cultist of Vol colors. It would be enhanced with a draping of skulls. Memento mori and all that.

Oil portrait FTW! All the cool kids are doing it.

Wow. I've never heard my mustache had that power.

Thing: If I ever made such a mistake with the thermostat, my next posts would probably come from a cool hospital with wireless.

Hot DAMN its been a great weekend!

I'm just glad I figured it out before going to bed. On that note, I think I need to retire for the evening.

Day three of a possible nine day work week down.

Hey Dr. D, congrats again! The pics are awesome.

Sorry we missed so much this weekend. We have been spending some much needed quality time together.

So for the Mini MB group coming this weekend. We need a final say on foods and drinks. What kinda of soda, beer, and are there any allergies. You guys can drop an email to me if you wish. But we are going shopping Tuesday and need to know what all to buy.
Also, exactly what day and approx what time is everyone going to be arriving? Will those going to a hotel go there first? Should we come meet you guys there? Or do you wanna just meet up here?
So excited BTW! :D

We are very excited and have been talking about it all weekend. :)

But man did we need this time together, we have been way too stressed lately.
