Is everyone showing up to watch FaWTL die? Where all these newbies coming from?

They just want to be here when the fireworks start.

I was incredulous at the turn that thread took, and the casual dismissal of others feelings. The eternal plaint of the crass and vulgar: "You're too sensitive!"

Where was this obnoxiousness taking place?

Maybe they're hoping it'll be the last of FaWTL.

They never learn...

Oh no, wait, it was me, wasn't it? I'll never drink chocolate milk and orange juice at the same time again, I promise!

The usual hotspot these days. I linked to the post that started the latest foofaraw.

EDIT: Please note that Mr. Jacobs asked no more word usage posts be made in this thread, so that it can stay on topic.

The Exchange

I finally caught up on the posts.

I do not feel like playing catch up here. Too many people to do and things to see.

Good Luck Lynora:

Yeah I think a troll needs be slain.

~sighs~ So tired. On the plus side, the AC guy was able to fix the issue and I have AC again. ~contented sigh~ Thank God that my friends referred him to me. This is either the third or fourth time he has saved my hide with my Heating / Cooling system.

Do you have enough left for a burger and fries, though?

~grins~ Well, $87 to fix the issue sure beats $350 for a new fan blower motor. Or $3800 to $4200 for a new system.

I fear that the Terminator style killing machines that Germany will develop to help win the war against the zombie hordes will turn against us after the zombie wars. They will not take kindly to our attempts to decomision them.Consider yourselves warned.

Oh, and good night.

Damn skippy. I've got a bunch of the short ones with my various books on them, plus at least one taller one. But, we've got some rearranging and consolidating to do so I may be going for a couple of the tall ones, in order to replace more of the smaller ones.

They've gotten more options since the last year I've been there. And the prices they offer them, it's hard to beat. I tell Mindy that we'll definitely have to get the ladder option so she can reach those top shelves. :p

Ghost Rider unleashed his full power on the Hulk, putting the Jade Giant down for the count. Ms Marvel battled the Juggernaught before learning what it means to be unstoppable, meanwhile Dr Doom found a way to turn Scarlet Witches power against herself. Thor and Ares clashed while Ghost Rider punished Doom for his many transgressions. As Thor triumphed over Ares he found himself facing Juggy and the two collided with a force that shook the very heavens above, the battle was interupted briefly when GR intervened but was to badly injured from his battle with the Hulk to stop the Unstoppable Force. Facing off once more Thor put forth a valiant effort but in the end Juggernaught lived up to his moniker.

Winner Cain Marko, The Unstoppable Juggernaught.

Is this to make up for the fact that Juggernaut was never available for you to download for free once you were ready to play the game solely for that patch? I sense this.

Gooooooooooooooood morning FAWLTY TOWERS!!!!

I wasn't sure if this thread was dead yet, so I'll post here until my fellow Gary says otherwise.

'Twill be 100+ degrees in Brooklyn today, and so I am taking precautions to make sure I don't melt into my consituent parts in the blazing heat. No bike today, and, unfortunately, no D&D tonight as well. I got some of my jones off yesterday with the Darklight Sisterhood game- no combat, but the girls decided to do a lot of shopping and almost everyone got laid(in game- wife gets upset if I try to do real-to-life reenactments)! I also picked up the Gamemastery Guide pdf for 10 bucks, and with the GM Gems book by its side, there was a lot more colorful roleplaying going on and a lot less looking up of rules. Still, I would have liked it if someone started a brawl or three...

In other news, my friend is doing her best to hold a hotel room for me in SC for the two days I'll be on her side of the fence- once I get that out of the way, all I'll have to procure is a ticket back and I'll be golden for my Otakon-SC vacation. I'm looking forward to it, although I'm a little nervous about seeing my Dad- what do we talk about? What do we do? Maybe see other family members? I dunno.

I may not be on that much- I'm in charge of a lot today at the salt mine. Here's hoping I"m somewhat sane by the time the day ends.

Hey FDM, where in SC is this being held? If it is close by we could meet for lunch. We would be willing to drive a few hours to meet with ya, if you had time.

Probably not. It involved three koalas, a wheel of Devon cheddar, two rolls of cling-film, Roy Orbison, and a Poodle. A dirty, filthy poodle. Need brain bleach now.

BTW, I recently discovered that sinus infections can be the cause of migraine-like headaches.

Really? I didn't know that.

I have had migraines for most of life, but nothing quite like this weekend's nightmare. I wish it had been infection. Then it would have a direct cause/effect relationship that I could understand. When a migraine comes out of nowhere it is frustrating as there is nothing I could have done to prevent it and the only way to stop it is load up on pain relievers. That is, if I am lucky. Though, surprisingly, Excedrin Extra Strength is a miracle drug in that regard.

I found Imitrex extremely effective when I could afford it. At $75 per pill, it's pricey, but what is a day or two of your life worth, anyway?

I still thought the self-injection did a much better job. I had a nice sense of euphoria for a short moment when it starts kicking in.

Never had the injected stuff, unless that's what they put in the IV in the ER. Whatever it was, the orderly said it was "the good stuff" and it kicked like a mule. I hated it.
