Wait. You still haven't met in person ... and you're worried about hot women wanting you now?
These hot women; they're not on those interactive DVDs, are they? ;p

Sharoth wrote:~grrrrrr~ Why is it that I start running into hot women that want me after I hook up with someone? Why?!?All the hot women appear after you're already attached. It's a known phenomenon. Just this evening we went to the mall after we went out to eat and practically in every clothing store I was usually the only male and I kept getting flirted with. I dunno if it's because I'm attached and that makes it safe .... or they're wondering what's good about me that she likes and if she can get to like it too ... or whatever nonsense I cannot decipher (nor try to).
The one funny thing that amused me was this young girl running up to me as if she was lost and wanted to know where the Gamestop was in the mall. Why me? Maybe I didn't mesh with the rest of the mallrats wearing this Vader (the metal band) t-shirt and khakis. *shrug* I don't even play video games. But I did know where the store was. Heh.
There was this one chick in this department that was trying on new summer clothes with short skirt and high heels. She made no attempt to cover herself when bending over and arching putting on her heels. I'm 10 feet away from her from behind. I could see exactly what she was wearing underneath. And she knew it. And kept doing it.
What is it with you women and your mindf&&k games. Really?
:p
Maybe I should go shopping with female friends just to get hit on?

Goooooooood morning Fawlty Towers!!!!!!
Great, great game session last night. After the fracas, we're now level 3 in RotRL. The only question is if we'll ever play again. There's been a serious upheaval in the DM's schedule, and our 5-6 year long Thursday Night Game may come to an end. We're currently looking at other days in the week and even considering switching it to a bi monthly game instead of a weekly, but I think we all have to face the possiblity that we won't be gaming again for some time.
This hurts, but the pain is bittersweet- when the game started I only knew 3 people at the table well- the DM was a good acquaintence at the time, as was a fellow player. The last player was a complete and total stranger to me at the time. Now we are all friends, even one of the players' little brother, who has come up to be a valued(if loud and young) part of the group. We've watched a friend's side business grow into something formidible, that same friend became an embittered high school math teacher, watched the DM become a father(and get married), watched me get *gulp* married and a find a second job that leaves me as happy as it does drained(and is a farm for jokes around the table). We've had girls be an important part of our game(even the one we scared/offended off) and had a few interesting guest stars who ended up being important parts of other RPG scenes in different parts of town that I would run into at the FLGS and comic book stores and cons and other, unlikely places(jury duty, etc). The experiences in this game were what spured me on to reach out to gamers on the boards in real life and helped me to meet the Manhattan Paizoites, which spurred on another game to start there(at least the one I ran). It lead to so many things, this weekly Thursday game. And now there's a chance it's over. We're not taking it lying down of course- here's hoping we find another day in the week to play on a regular basis. Still, I don't know whether to laugh at all the fun and memories we had(God, the quotes! The inappropriate humor! THE GROPING!!!!) or weep because it may be a very long time before we're able to do this again and because this comes on the heels of the ending of the monthly Ptolus game(I do plan to run Kingmaker, however), and an inability to play the Monthly Darklight Sisterhood Game this month.
Ah well. At least I've got here.
I just realized that this month is gay pride month. Which means the second job is going to get CRAZY. I had to run into manhattantown yesterday to get a program put on my palm, but I did get a chance to peek over a shoulder and learn how it was done- I think I could do it myself if I had a password. I'll slip the idea to my boss and see what pans out.
Also, I FINALLY put up the edit to the clerics that I was working on- but I'm having a hell of a time getting the page edited to my specifications. Apparently you can't cut and paste a table into blogger anymore, so keep that mind when you click on the link. I hope to have an edit to the fighters up by the end of this weekend so that I can start working on the Paladins and keep my trainwreck moving along.
And...and...well, that's it for now. Here's hoping everyone else is having a wonderful day. And if anyone here is in a regular game, be sure to give your regular gaming buddies a hug at the next gig. You never know when life is going to get in the way of rolling that polyhedron.

I have to tell you, the grading for English/LA can kill you. And admins don't give a rat's ass. They want you to teach kids how to write, but they have no sympathy for how much more it takes than teaching other subjects. Just a warning.

Not the same. You're not going to 'smell' attached. Not sure how to explain it in literal / layman's terms.
Maybe PhDiddy can extrapolate this strange phenomenon. I'm sure he runs into it quite a bit with his students. ;)

Early early morning post. Argh, doesn't matter how early I go to sleep, I am NOT a morning person >_<
Taking off for interview in ~15. Wish me luck.

Heh, yeah that is the biggest problem, I think. I'll burn that bridge when I get there. I have to get into and through schooling first >_>

Feeling kinda down today. I think I'll go to the library. That should cheer me up.
Sorry to hear that Lyn. I have been struggling myself lately to keep a smile on. Sometimes it feels like there is an invisible weight on your shoulders. Hopefully the library will cheer you up. I am going to do my default cheerer-upper after my RMV encounter earlier ... gardening! See y'all later!

... gardening! ...
Having a hard time with my garden this year. My spinach is dying already. I only have three zucchini plants coming up (after planting nearly 20). And something is eating my sugar snap peas and climbing roses. Probably the best thing I've got going is that I may have figured out how to keep some animals out -- thistles are growing all over the garden. Actually, I pruned my raspberries this year and they are looking very good. May have a really good crop of raspberries at least this year -- not sure about anything else.

Oh, I don't know. Last time Studpuffin and I went shopping together, he got hit on. By the salesgirl who was bringing me clothes. While I was in the changing booth six feet away. Laughing my a$$ off when he realized what was going on and started hemming and hawing.

So that's why English teachers do all that in-class "peer review" crap.

It must be in the jet stream or something. Same's been happening to me. OTOH, it's a good time to get work done.
