Surgery appears to be successful. Going to be busy cleaning up around the house and doing some additional disinfecting. The vet says I can pick up my boy at 2:30p. I confess I've been overly anxious about it. I'm just bracing to see what the full damage is going to be as I had to put down a deposit of $1050 yesterday and supposedly the difference today (I signed a quote that stated it'd be anywhere from $1700 to $2100 but the cynic in me says it'll be the latter).
So, if for some reason I drop off during the weekend, this is your formal announcement so no-one has to send out a search party. :D

Happy to hear he is ok! Not so happy about the financial part. Here's hoping its on the cheaper side.

Let's just say it's very "liberating".

Not so much the bills, but more that it takes a PHD to understand it.
Here's an example. I have a bill from the doctor. I have an EOB for the same doctor. The EOB is for a time that is between the visits listed on the doctor's bill. But I don't have an EOB for the visits listed on the bill.

Hooray! Our boy had two hip dysplasia surgeries before we adopted him, poor fellow. He's had no problem since then, though we do odd, homemade PT on him (stretch his hind legs, rub down his hips and back legs, etc). He's even started jumping up and rearing onto his back paws! So the surgery can work really well.
Hope your lad is up and wagging furiously very soon, and that you don't have to sell your body to pay for it.

I'm so glad that Obama's administration has made this easier. [/sarcasm]

Morning, all. What did I miss?
Well, Scott got his disk back from Mike, only to discover that the data had been corrupted and all his free porn was lost. Meanwhile, an emergency appendectomy for the family parakeet forced a change in the weekend beach plans of Albert and his family. And, on the other side of town, Leo was slowly coming to terms with the realization that he was beginning to mutate into.......No, wait! That's my soap opera.

Been too long... I'd have to start over with Piaget.
