I am working my own conversion from the original B2 to DnD 3.75e (Pathfinder). This is set in the original campaign of Mystara, placed in the Grand Duchy of Karameikos in the keep actually called Castellan.
It will be posted online at some point.
The NPCs will be commoners, experts, and warriors, with a few exceptions. Humanoids are whatever they are specified in Bestiary, but less equipped. The original has them equipped with a lot of money, but less in weapons.
This will be a straight vanilla conversion. I'll also make my action pack, which has my personal modifications from the original content, such as more robust epic fantasy opponents, but this will be more of an appendix.
I'm running the Mystara campaign using Mystara and Pathfinder.

William Ronald wrote:StuffMost of my conversions have been between 3.5 and PF. A lot of the time I just leave the monster stats as 3.5. Obviously you can't do that since it's 1E. So if it was me, I'd check the EL of all of the encounters before proceeding, maybe consider giving everyone a 3rd level character, so they can go farther.
Actually, B2 is DnD 0e. I start my players out at 2nd level.

It is late here, but I will get copies out to people this weekend. I hope that your groups will enjoy it.
MooNinja, it is my understanding that the module is not Open Game License content. So, d20PFSRD has informed me of that and I do not wish to jeopardize anyone with this conversion. (I have to respect intellectual property rights.)
JonB, as a 40 something gamer, it was a blast to have this run at an EN World Chicago Game Day and see players do the unexpected.

Gah! I think I've played through this module eight or nine times over my 35 years of gaming. It is really refreshing to see old school modules like this get a face-lift and conversion to Pathfinder.
If it isn't too much trouble I would very much like a copy of your conversion. No rush. Eventually I will be running my own children through this.
KEEP up the good works.
CJ

B2 is Basic, not Original. That's what the B in B2 stands for, Basic D&D.

Sadly, I lack anyone to play the module with, but much as I buy PF supplements simply for the pleasure of reading them, I'd very much like to read your Pathfinderised KotB, William Ronald. My address is
Please and thank you!

Since I last posted on this thread, my old computer's mother board died and I have to see about recovering files from the hard drive. So, I have an unusual request. Can someone e-mail me a copy of my conversion so I can send it out to others.
Also, please send one to SuperWannabe.

Hopefully someone can get a copy of this back to you because this is obviously a module that many people would like to have converted.
Including me ;)
If you could, at your convenience (and assuming you've been able to recover it), email a copy of the conversion to:
I would be HUGELY thankful!

Gigglestick, thanks!! I still have to figure how to recover some files now that I am using a lap top. However, it is great to have the adventure back in my possession.
As I understand it, there is a reference to the Caves of Chaos in Ustalav near the Worldwound. I set what I did in Belkzen, but it is easy to import. (I threw in a lot of Slavic, Baltic and Germanic names for a lot of the NPCs as I wanted that feel for the adventure.)
I wish that the adventure was in the OGL so that it could be hosted at d20PFSRD. However, I think that a good GM can do a lot with this adventure and the hooks.
