I received the document, thanks much sir!

After reading it over I have to say, you do good work! I think I saw one or two spots where the AC values didn't seem to add up with what their armor + dex bonus would normally give, but maybe my own math is off; I'll take a better look tonight after work.

Regardless, this is a great conversion on your part. I'm looking forward to any other conversions you release in the future!

Thanks again,

DJF

Gigglestick, thanks!! I still have to figure how to recover some files now that I am using a lap top. However, it is great to have the adventure back in my possession.

As I understand it, there is a reference to the Caves of Chaos in Ustalav near the Worldwound. I set what I did in Belkzen, but it is easy to import. (I threw in a lot of Slavic, Baltic and Germanic names for a lot of the NPCs as I wanted that feel for the adventure.)

I wish that the adventure was in the OGL so that it could be hosted at d20PFSRD. However, I think that a good GM can do a lot with this adventure and the hooks.

Hey, you did the hard work, I'm just passing it along. Thanks for updating this. (I'm thinking of transplanting it to the Belken/Varisian border myself, as the Worldwound area holds no interest to me.)

My group does an annual 24 Hour game for a local charity. Our second annual one coincided with the release of 4th edition, a system that my group didn't take too much to and were highly upset at the absence of the gnome as a PC race.

In honour, that years game was a 3.5 conversion of Keep on the Borderlands in which all the PCs were gnomes called "No Country for Old Gnomes".

Preamble out of the way, I would love to have a copy of this.

Thanks for document, man. And glad you liked the story. Incidentally, throughout the 24 hours there were 9 character deaths spread among 6 players. The thrilling conclusion of the event ended with the party getting split up and hunted by the minotaur in the labyrinth. All but one of them died in that encounter.

For some time I've been planning on using the Keep on the Borderlands as the start of a different sort of campaign. Basically the Chaos priests are manipulating the lesser "demi-humans" and generally being jerks. After adventurers clear out the caverns a few stragglers are missed and are forced to band together to survive. The players would run this mix of Orcs, Goblins, Hobgoblins, Kobolds and Lizardmen.

Latter on they'd find a place working for the Slave Lords until that goes bust. Fortunately by that time they'll have made connections with the Giants who they band with. Unfortunately the Giants are being manipulated by some Drow so it that all goes to hell. If it goes smoothly at that point they'll get fed up with being manipulated and looked down on by Adventurers, Chaos Priests, Drow, Fate, etc. By that time they'll be strong enough to say "Screw this we're doing things our way". Then they might raise their own Horde of "demi-humans" to take the fight to those smug and self righteous pinkskins. ^_^
