Very interesting Madcap. I made some revisions to the knight class some time ago for a friend, so I'll dig those up for you, see if you like them.
Also, I'm totally digging the homeland, very nice. It'll be up to you whether your still travelling around there, or if you've gone off to explore the wider world.
(And yes, guns are available to those who want them. I don't particularly like any of the published gun rules I've read so odds favor I'll be homebrewing them.)

I was planning on using cavalier instead. While I do think the horsie mount is a bit much, it will allow him to dish out some damage like a duelist should. Him telling people to come and hit him? Not so much. It's more like if you ignore him, you die.
I'm probably going to roll a 18 STR and DEX. If I'm wearing heavy armor it won't be quite so useful, but I will need some for later when I ditch the heavy stuff. Plus, then I can take tumble and whatever else I need for Duelist.

A lone wolf runs through the foliage like a pixie ninja in a silence spell, he stops short of a cherry tree and eyes what he had smelled on a moment ago, another Wolf appears to his right and nuzzles him, they were out on the hunt and ready to eat.
He wakes up in a the wilderness naked and alone, stretching as if waking up from a long slumber his hands brush against something solid above him. A pair of large whitish wings drape over him like a cowl, he shrugs and looks around.
I have wings! What is going?
He looks at his hands and sees Claws for what were once hands. quickly looking down upon himself he sees the draconic visage of a changed body.
Images rush back to him; a laughing man, a chamber, a white dragon.
I think it was a baby
Needles!
Oh God!
Screaming! blood, pain...
The two wolves that were watching changed their minds as they saw the winged creature howl in the midnight air holding his head, even in the darkness they could tell this thing wasn't normal, they loped off for something easier to prey on.
That man changed me! but why? why would he do this? WHY? I will find this MAGE, this MAN and hunt him down. I will tear his entrails from his still heaving chest and feast on his Heart as he watches me!
His head whips to the side eyeing something in the gloomy distance. A sudden Moment of clarity hits his red wall of rage.
Wow i can see far!
Something rumbles nearby...
but first i will quench my hunger...
And he runs off into the darkness...

I may have to head out before he's done, but I was wondering if you'd let me use a bastard sword as a piercing weapon? The reason I ask is because duelist says many of the class features only work with a one handed or light piercing weapon, and I think it would be cool (And not that game-breaking) to use the weapon as an einhander. Obviously not a dealbreaker, but it is something that I would like to be allowed to do.
Plus, mechanically, I like having high damage dice rather than a high crit chance. I am not a lucky man.
Another option, if you're worried about me dealing too much damage, is that the abilities only work if I use the weapon one-handed, preventing possible "Buff the duelist" and then two handed weapon fight cheese.
EDIT: Due to a backtracking error, all of my flowery prose was lost. Swearing ensues. I should have it done within a couple of days.

Yeah, it's no big deal to use the bastard sword mechanics for a piercing blade. Call it what you like, it might be best if you went with a different weapon in name, an Estoc perhaps? (Armor piercing blade without a real edge, designed for punching through plate and often heavier than a longsword)

I realize you already have an Azer monk, but I'd like to bring another monk in anyway. Hopefully scrapping the Lawful restriction because of my concept: Monk as superhuman irish brawler.
Also, I noticed that you increased the size of the ki pool. Any other changes to Monk from the PF version?
Also, how are you working with ECL? For example, Azers have 2 HD and an LA of +4 and Brazus definitely has somewhat less than that. So what do I as a lowly human get for free? ^_^

I think I will change the Feats.
I'm thinking Endurance and Diehard instead of the classic PA and toughness. I don't need to max out DPS, Toughness is a mute point too, the 3 HP are cool but Endurance and Diehard basically give me my CON in HPs...
yeah sounds good to me.
And it works for the fluff too, I like to think the Draconic meld made him tougher (with +6 to CON!)

Hmmm. Usually Diehard is rather risky, but I suppose it's cool. It does set you up to take Steadfast Determination (Con instead of Wisdom to will saves) if you want it.
Although... I'm not seeing where your getting a second feat from lol.

It might also be worth considering Dragonborn (Races of the Dragon) human, since they get wings and (eventually; level 6) full flight, without the level adjustment. You'd only be morally obligated to kill half the party by default. :P (Maybe the 'of Bahamut' part could get scrapped.)

Ok click on "My Account" at the top of the page, You need to sign in again.
Then scroll down to Messageboard Aliases, and click on "create a new Messageboard alias", then Tyoe in Your Avatar name, select your Time Zone and any avatar image you want, then click Submit changes.
Once you do that then you can create a profile for the new alias you created, and type in your stats for him.

Barding Chain Shirt
2 Heavy wooden shields

Can I get an estimate on the starred items?

Alright. And I may end up giving the Knight of Curry a sex change and possibly a race lift (though I do want those skill points...). Maybe. Half-elf is being considered. Maybe even gnome, though that doesn't do much for me... I don't suppose I could shunt the gnomish charisma bonus over to intelligence?
Also, the way PF crafting works, I'm thinking I'll pick up Brew Potion, since that lets the Knight of Curry cover a lot of the incidentals I want out of the character and let me stick with Warmage, rather than making the shift to Wizard. And I'd be going the Int-based route, with more emphasis on the 'splodey.
Oh, any objection to 'Brew Potion' making more appetizing creations? Yay, cookies of Reverse Gender!
And any objection to pre-game crafting?

Yeah, shifting Gnome cha to int works for me. (Heck in my homebrew game I have 'tinker gnomes' as an official race, with the swap as their primary separating trait)
Also, notes about magic item crafting.
It costs 70% of market value to craft magic items, and they take 1/10 the amount of time listed.
This amount of time can be divided into hours, and any given hour can produce an independent item if possible (maximum 8 hour work days.)
Also, yeah, your free to pre-craft to your hearts content.
Brew Potion: As written except no spell level limit, and any spell desired (feel free to rework the form the potion takes, heck pokeballs of summoning are fine by me.)
Potion Use: Using a potion is a move equivalent action, except in cases where the spell in question is a full round action, in which case the use is a standard action.
Potion Bandoleer: Costs 200 gold, holds up to 20 potions that can be drawn as a free action. (feel free to reflavor it to be a belt, a satchel, whatever works for you.)

Just doing my best to make them fair compared to bows, which get strength bonus to damage and don't require an exotic proficiency. IMO these are roughly the power level a repeating crossbow should have.

OK. I am taking a History of Archery class this semester, so I can tell you stuff about bows if you want to make one more realistic, do modifications for different arrows, arrowheads, woods, etc. Mechanically speaking, crossbows are OK, but compared to actual longbows they leave a lot to be desired. But, hey, they are simple weapons!
That baby is a gunfighter's wet dream. I could always be really dirty and make a halfling gunfighter... 2d3 right?

I'd have to think about the halfling gun. I'm half tempted to go with 1d6, or maybe 2d4-1 for simplicity. Dropping the die size is complicated with the explosive trait lol. (though it does make for interesting Vital Strikes)
Not terribly concerned about focusing on realism with the bows etc, but if there's some kind of special effect you want talk to me about it and it might become a magic item, a custom mundane item, or a feat or whatever.
As for bludgeoning damage, the answer is simple. Piercing weapons don't deal damage to objects, and it would be a major realism disconnect to shoot a wall and not put a hole in it and damage it structurally.

70%? Hrm. Ugly number.
Anyways, any objection to Extraordinary Artisan? -25% gp cost of all items crafted. Multiplied, rather than subtracted, mind, meaning 52.5% market (which could just be truncated back to 50% for simplicity's sake). 25% for skill-based crafting.
I don't suppose I could talk you into preserving save DCs and the like on potions. Like a 1d6+5 lemon drop of Shocking Grasp? (Fun trick, that.) Could make some of the fun toys more useful, like tea of Sleep, if the DCs aren't locked to the minimum.
And I should think spells that require a touch attack would automatically hit if I manage to trick someone into eating them, correct? Like, getting someone to eat the lemon drop of Shocking Grasp shouldn't require an attack roll, I shouldn't think. Would Reflex saves stand?

Average damage for an exploding die is the average on a single roll, plus that average divided by one minus the die size. So, the average of a d2 would be 1.5+1.5/(2-1)=3. For a general dX, it'd be ([X+1]/2)+([X+1]/2)/(X-1).
In table form:
1d2: 3
1d3: 3
1d4: 3+1/3
1d6: 4.2
1d8: 5+1/7
1d10: 6+1/9
1d12: 7+1/11
1d20: 12+2/19
1d100: 51+1/99
So, going to d3's is a meaningful shift. 7.4 to 6 (19% loss). In comparison, going to 1d6 would be a step from 7.4 to 4.2 (43% loss), which is massive. Compare that to downsizing the longbow from 1d8 (4.5) to 1d6 (3.5), which is a 22.2% [1-point] loss.
In other news, Madcap, if you have Dragon Compendium, you may be interested in Dead Eye eventually (possibly level 7). It was errata'd to having a +1 BAB requirement instead of the crazy, misprinted +14.

I imagine 70% is a bit horrible, but it comes with the advantage of having reasonable crafting times. (You could pump out 8 potions in a free day if you wanted)
Sure, take the feat, no big deal.
As for the DC's... Hmmm...
Well... "Potion Focus: The Save DC's of potions you craft are increased by 2" ... ugh it still feels weak but I'm not sure how to balance it properly, anything more would be too good, and just tying it to the stat takes away the limiter on item effectiveness...
I'll get back to you later with something more thought out.

Mind, the goods I'm talking about are ingested, and rather expensive. If I'm using a cookie of Reverse Gender, it means I actually have to convince someone to eat the cookie of Reverse Gender. With that constraint in place, then not tying them back in with stats pretty much makes them useless overall. Perhaps a feat to tie stats and abilities (namely edge) back in, with the locked constraint that it applies only to ingested goods? (Meaning no way in Hell this'd go on wands and scrolls.)
As that version of Potion Focus works? It's pretty pitiful; I'd sooner abandon relying on saves at all.
Also, would you rather I use the 52.5% for the post-Extraordinary Artisan price, or may I truncate to 50% to make the numbers easier?

But yeah, I totally agree. A feat to attach it to ingested potions only (remember in this game the 'potion' term can apply to basically chucked spellbombs too) sounds fine by me.
I actually had already been planning on edge going with the potions, but it's best I get that out in the open now.
EDIT: And go ahead and call it 50.

Hey kyrt,
Here's what I'm gonna do. With my 3000gp budget, I want to buy a Necklace of Fireballs Type 2 (2700gp) and a fire resistant bag to hold it in (hopefully not more than 300gp), so whenever I want I can bring it out and make it explode because I am on fire and immune to it. The nuke will do 12d6 fire damage to everything in a 20ft radius. What ya think about that?

Hmmm. I'll check the necklace of fireballs real quick.

You can do that if you really want to. It's a little weak, especially since your group is likely to eventually include a warmage who crafts basically potion bombs.
I would recommend tracking down gear that helps you be a better monk (AC, damage, mobility options, etc etc)
Magic Item Compendium's got a bunch of stuff for you.
Anyways, the beads regenerate every day at dawn.

Alright, I have one last big houserule I'm going to make for this game, then I'll open up a discussion thread to list them all in one Origonal post and discussion can progress there while we continue to hash out PC backgrounds and such here.
We're using the Invisible Items idea, where if you 'buy' or earn cash equivalents you can immediately convert it into magic items.
In this case, it's for AC, Save boosters, etc. Also, something many non-casters will appreciate, when you buy magic weapon and armor bonuses and abilities, they applies constantly to any weapon (including unarmed strike if you have Improved Unarmed Strike) for normal cost.
Special odds and ends gear, like the necklace Brazus is picking up remain items.
EDIT: one last thing. These 'natural effects' aren't actually magical or supernatural, they are simply new stages of personal power. (I don't like the hassle of this stuff getting dispelled or having to recalculate for anti-magic fields)

Since I'm generally able to focus in and get the most work done at night, I'm going to grab a nap and get some major work done tonight reading and examining all your backgrounds and responding and getting the ball rolling. If any of you guys have anythings you want answerred, fire away as many questions/ideas/whatever that you like and I'll hit them all when I get back.
