I've heard you can use a little coffee to keep ants at bay if you can find where they're getting in. Don't know if its supposed to be crystals, grounds, freshly brewed, or what...

On top of old Fawtly, all covered with grounds
I held off the killer ants, as I scooped coffee in mounds

This has made my day.

Heh. Oops, I had a spelling error. Fixed.

Be sure and fix the spelling, TAD. ;;)

No, that means drunk. Time to check OED.
I am a three cup of coffee person. Unfortunately, I do not like coffee. Can you guess how my day usually goes? ~grins~
Time to take the dog for a quick walk before going to work. Take care everyone and have a great day.
Sharoth wrote: I am a three cup of coffee person. Unfortunately, I do not like coffee. Can you guess how my day usually goes? ~grins~ You could just swallow the beans whole and chase it with a shooter of Jack. That should get you kick-started.
Okay, my attempt at back-forming an English word fails, because the Latin root means drunk. Not really sure why the prefix "in" was added in English, as it is not strictly needed. It's like saying, She was indrunkened.

Otherwise, I bet it actually is derived in english from a drunken latin student.

Don't let Freehold see this, you'll never hear the end of it! ;)
OK, off to work. Only slightly late this morning, thanks guys for keeping the page count down. ;)
I've been stuck on Meatloaf since last night.
Mairkurion {tm} wrote: I've been stuck on Meatloaf since last night. Ewwwwwww!!!
I guess Taig won't do that.

Which reminds me, I need to go to B&N and pick up the book...
Mairkurion {tm} wrote: I've been stuck on Meatloaf since last night. The food or the singer?
One song in particular. The video is imprinted on me from my MTV days.

FhDM:
Just don't tell your woman I inspired you with this idea. ;)
YEP, that's the song. Video produced by and for D&Dnerds, or I'm a poodle.
has anyone read pride and prejudice and zombies, I am thinking of picking up a new book and would like some ideas

Re: Tattoo- Knowing her, she'd at the tattoo, look at me, sigh, and then update her facebook with something to the effect of "My Husband is an Idiot."
Re: Video- Oh hell yeah. I heard from a reputable source that more than a few of the people involved in the video were 80's TV show Beauty and the Beast fans that were also fans of Meatloaf(or vice versa).

I caught an old guy who turned out to be an English professor on an airplane reading it, and it was awesome to see how guilty the pleasure was for him. Now, if you hate Jane Austen's style of prose and wit, I don't see how zombies will really fix it for you, but to me, she's one of the great English writers. This is all said from my research: I won't have read it until my daughter brings me her copy.

I wonder if anybody's tried reading them back to back. I want to read it, but I've never read Pride and Prejudice itself, and I feel like some of it will be lost on me.
oh mair, a little tidbit I found on wikipedia so take it with a grain of salt, it said the director of I'd do anything for love was none other than Micheal Bay
Woodraven & CH, at least watch Pride and Prejudice with Colin Firth first, if you're not going to read the original before P&P&Z.
Speaking of zombies, what's the consensus on Zombieland?

It was a fun movie. Well worth watching. I would rent or Redbox it instead of buying it.
gbonehead wrote: Speaking of zombies, what's the consensus on Zombieland?
SP and I just saw it a couple of days ago. It's pretty OK. I'd give it a 7 out of 10.
Woodraven wrote: has anyone read pride and prejudice and zombies, I am thinking of picking up a new book and would like some ideas I did pick up the book, but it's on my huge pile of books I still need to catch up reading. *sighs*

Your wife is on FB, but not the luddite? Nope! Everyone is mystified as to this as well.
