Was this player previously known for no-call no-shows?

Not often. But we are moving to a new day, so I assumed he just forgot.

At least you caught yourself from making a bad situation worse and that's all that really matters. You own up from your conscience, humble down, buckle up, and move on to the next thing (like the A-Team Trailer). ;)

Agreed. If you had decided to post, then you would have been an a(team)hole. I would have been extremely surprised if you had made the post.
Also, my sympathies for your friend's loss.

Lasted all 10 minutes without breaking. Started laughing after 5 minutes.

Went to Toys'r'us.
three kids...
Son (6) couldn't have toy he wanted; proceded to throw s@#%fit; had to leave.
Q: HOW LONG should he stay in his room? I'm saying about an hour.
I don't know.
I was never this bad...
Mom took middle daughter BACK OUT to get something nice.
An hour sounds about right (rule of thumb I heard for a time-out was 10 minutes per year of age, once your child knows what it means to be in time-out).
I think your wife taking your daughter back out will show that his behavior only punished him.

Cool....I'm kinda pissed because I worked from 8 am to midnight yesterday, and now my family time isn't proving to be blissful. Okay, done crying about my problems.....thanx for the validation though; just wanted to make sure my summary judgment wasn't overly harsh.
Yeah, deep down inside I would so much prefer not to punish my children. It needs to be done, though.
Sorry you had a rough day yesterday. 18-hour days suck.

Wow the rule of thumb I always remembered is a time-out is 1 minute per year of age.... AFTER they have calmed down. If they are still having a fit well they can still sit in Time-out till they are done. Of course that is Time out in a designated time out spot that does not have toys ect.. If it just "go to your room" well for me thats "Dad needs a time out" and you can come out when I am able to handle it.

Oops. Maybe I had that wrong. My kids don't get time-outs anymore.
I dunno, an hour sounded appropriate, though.

That is why though it is harsh you need to put the Kibosh on it now. Either that or he will learn that all he has to do to get his way will be throw a fit. I see way too many people doing it already.

She's been lethargic and had a runny nose for the last few days. Today she has started throwing up, and it's green. Plus it appears that her food hasn't digested well for a few days.
