Star of stage, film and television, Edward Woodward, has died yesterday of Pneumonia. Woodward was best known as the star of the original Wicker man, the Australian TV series Callan, and the American TV series The Equalizer, but he was also a singer and a Shakespearean actor. He was highly respected and regarded. He will be missed.

Callan was British, but he was in one of My favourite Australian movies Breaker Morant. Very good war movie I fully recommend it.

Callan was on when I was very young I used to sneak out when it was on and watch it with my dad (I would do the same for Dave Allen and Monty Python). When I was asked what I would like to name by teddy bear I said Wedwood (because I couldn't say Edward Woodward)who was my favourite actor at the time.

Sorry to see him pass but I thought he passed a long time ago.

That's unfortunate. I thought he passed away a while ago too, but I will always remember him from the Equalizer. There was one dude with max ranks in intimidate.
