Sunaj moves as fast as he can to the rear of the caster on the ridge.
Double move, a position behind L would be very nice.
Sunaj:

Corvax Schultheiss |

Corvax moves to just inside the gate, turns and aims his outstretched arm at the large wolf on the roof. A ray of searing light springs from his palm, arrowing toward the massive beast.
Ranged touch attack 1d20+7=22 Damage 4d8=24
If the wolf is too high up to hit from the ground I'll instead fire the searing light at drow 2

Greene Tanache |

Greene takes a 5-foot-step to the right and continues his attack hopefully clear of the darkness effect.
Attacks rolls against Drow 5: Nat 1, 16, 22, 19
Damage to Drow 5: 10, 12, 11

DM_Darkmeer |

The round breaks down like this:
The round is a lot of positioning and posturing, it seems. Kane, still feeling the effects of the sickness, tries to hide along the ridge, out of sight of the spellcaster. Finrod's bow finds its mark in the wolf, and the wolf doesn't look to pleased about the arrow in him.
Greene drops the foaming drow in a quick strike, while Corvax moves into position and fires the spell into the wolf, succeeding in bypassing the spell resistance, but not dropping the now very burned wolf. Kara also fires, and succeeds in hitting the wolf.
Huergar strikes his would-be attacker, and Davin moves into position to heal him once his summon appears to face Drow 2. Basil's healing burst catches Kara, Corvax, Huergar, Finrod, the wolf, and Drow 2.
Sunaj approaches the spellcaster. Onyx continues his song.
The spellcasting drow, not noticing the invisible Sunaj, begins chanting (AoO if you would like it, Sunaj).
The Remaining Drow attacking Huergar strikes him with a mighty blow, but Huergar stands through it. 19 damage
This ends the round (pending the AoO from Sunaj).

The Remaining Drow attacking Huergar strikes him with a mighty blow, but Huergar stands through it. 19 damage
Full attack against the remaining drow:
1d20+18=35 (dmg 1d10+10=14), 1d20+13=23 (dmg 1d10+10=16)Yes, you may replace Keen with Ghost Touch.
Thanks! I updated my character page. BTW, I've been deducting 3 from the damage of every attack against Huergar for adamantine DR, but not from spell damage. I have a damage log next to Huergar's HP in case you'd like to compare notes.

Greene Tanache |

The remaining drow have mixed results with their attacks, with Drow 2 missing Huergar, but drow 5 striking Finrod with a stunningly good blow (15 damage).
DM:

Greene Tanache |

Greene, heedless of the risk, tumbles back into the darkness to move into flank with Huergar against the last drow and attacks.

Greene Tanache |

Invisible Castle is back up.
Attack 1d20+13=18 and Damage 5d6+1=19
Not sure how miss chance is being handled and I haven't rolled it yet, so I'll leave that to DM

Finrod Moruin |

Round 5
Finrod grimly drew his bow again, teetering at the edge of the roof.
“Not this time, helldog.”
Full round attack, defensive, deadly aim, multishot- Target: Large wolf
Bowshot #1: (1d20+18-4-3-2=24)
Arrow #1 damage: (1d8+5+6+1d6=14)
Bowshot #2: (1d20+18-4-3-2=17)
Arrow #2 damage: (1d8+5+6+1d6=19)
Bowshot #3: (1d20+13-4-3-2=11)
Arrow #3 damage: (1d8+5+6+1d6=23)
Thanks for taking that damage off. That was worrisome.

Sunaj Fellhand |

Sunaj concentrates and focuses. In his mind's eye he sees the drow falling from the ridge down to the muddy ground below.
Caster Level Check to Penetrate Drow SR 1d20+9=26
Telekinetic Combat Manuever (Bullrush; Caster Level plus Int Bonus) 1d20+16=35
The illusion disappears and Sunaj grins to the clearly surprised drow and says to her in Drow, "Give my regards to Lolth."

Kara of the Silver Hair |

DM_Darkmeer |

Kane remains hiding under the ridge, fearful that the spellcaster will cast another spell of sickness. Finrod, aiming his bow very carefully, fires into the wolf, deftly avoiding any biting from said wolf, and as the second arrow strikes, the wolf is gone in a puff of putrid, glowing, green smoke. Greene, dancing around the Drow, strikes him vitally, while Huergar finishes him off. Basil, still unable to see in the magical darkness, moves to closer to the sounds of combat, eagerly awaiting a combatant to come out, while Davin heals Huergar of 14 points of damage Subbed 2nd level spell. Kara, keeping her head quite well during the combat, fires at the drow priestess as she falls to the ground from Sunaj's spell, adding injury to the insult of being knocked prone. Between Sunaj's spell, and Kara's arrow, the priestess is unable to complete her spell.
Retorting to Sunaj's comment about Lolth, the priestess replies:
"Lolth has nothing on me. I follow something greater. Her followers and everything else must die!"
Tall words, especially since she's the only remaining combatant you are all able to see.
The new map is here and you all may act on the round.

Onyx Ironhands |

Onyx finally emerges from the cabin. He holds his hands out and yells, "wait! Try to take that one alive! There is much we could yet learn from her!"
He then points his finger at the drow, casts a spell, then whispers.
OOC: I cast Message at the her. I tell her "surrender now, drow woman, and we shall let you live. Hesitate, and we shall not be so merciful."

Greene Tanache |

Greene heard Onyx call for mercy and felt conflicted. He wanted to show enemies the mercy and kindness that Sir Andress had shown him, but he'd seen firsthand what came of giving evil its quarter. Greene twirled the enchanted rapier in his hand, heart hardening even as he summoned its divine bond, imbuing the weapon with the merciful power of its divine spirit. He would look into the creature's heart and see the truth of it. Some could be redeemed, but a heart of evil intent might as well be stone, just as his heart felt. Greene reached out with his innate sense of evil and focused it upon the distant outline of the drow Onyx wanted spared.
DM:
"If you are an enemy of Lolth, we need not be enemies!" Greene shouted at the drow. "We have seen the evils inflicted on your comrades by worshipers of that hateful god! We know the cruelties inflicted on them! Surrender yourself that we might help each other put an end to Lolth's cruelty!" He knew too well how hate could twist a heart, and if the evils of these drow were a natural evolution from the cruelties visited upon them by their Lolth-worshiping brethren, perhaps he did feel some pity toward them. But for an overwhelming desire to live as Sir Andress lived and to fill the hole his death left in the world, Greene's rage and hatred could have driven him down a much darker path, one where righteous fury was replaced by bloody vengeance. It was not so very difficult to find that dark path. Even now, he could see it on his horizon, just to the left of Sir Andress' light.

Kara of the Silver Hair |

Putting away her bow, Kara walks closer to the drow.
"Come now, we have no reason to fight you! Had we known you were any enemy of Lolth, this entire fight could have been avoided. You wish Lolth's followers dead, we have been dispatched to get rid of them. Since our goals are similar, I propose a truce. Some one who knows the workings of the drow, as only a drow can, would greatly aid us. And you have seen that we are capable in combat, so we can send the spider lovers to their eight-legged goddess sooner than they expected!"
Invisible Castle is down for me, but that was a Diplomacy check. Kara's bonus to the roll is on +3, but I thought I should try.

Sir Basil de Fermer |

As soon as Basil sees the Drow tumble from the ridge he sets off at speed towards her.Despite the attempts by his comrades to reason with the witch he see's things in a more simple manner. His sword lashes out the flat of the blade connecting with her skull
Non lethal attack(smite)1d20 + 15 ⇒ (17) + 15 = 32
Damage1d10 + 14 ⇒ (1) + 14 = 15
"Surrender now and we might spare you...I say might"

Greene Tanache |

Greene watched the other paladin offer a peaceful surrender by attacking and prayed his rash actions did not sour the drow against peace altogether. "De Fermer!" Greene shouted. "Whether or not you strike with the hilt of your blade, could you not have waited for the drow to answer us first?"
DM:

Kara of the Silver Hair |

Kara's whip makes a loud cracking sound as she pulls it off her belt and snaps it.
"Rest assured good knight, that was a foolhardy thing to do."
She readies herself to grab Basil's sword should he attack the drow again before she has time to act.
Change her skin color and Kara's a mini-drow! I had not thought of that when I made her. The possiblities...

Finrod Moruin |

Sir Basil de Fermer |

to be absolutly correct if we were going in correct initiative order i would have struck her before you called on her to surrender. We'll have to get this sorted before the next fight..in this one i found myself wondering if i was targeting stuff that had already been dealt with..but we'll take that to the oooc thread
Basil looks down at the Drow.."I will spare you if you renounce all evil and strive to undo the evil you have already done. Otherwise you will face Tyr's justice"
Sense motive on the drow to anticipate an attack or detect a lie if she choses to answer1d20 + 7 ⇒ (14) + 7 = 21

![]() |

On top of that, I really couldn't decide whether I agreed with Basil or Greene on this one. Huergar's willingness to walk away, I considered, shows that he has confidence in the paladins' ability to sort it out.
Huergar really is beat. In fact, he's a little pale and shaky and sick to the stomach as he reflects on what just happened and how easily he could have been killed.
Hope that helps.

DM_Darkmeer |

The drow woman, accepting Basil's blow, smiles at him, and says "boy, you're a fiesty one. Great meat for Kiransallee's rise to power! Your friends are wiser than you!" She screams as she retaliates for the blow she received from him. She seems very keenly aware of the wall of wind in front of her, and shows no signs of moving beyond it's safety.

Finrod Moruin |

Seeing the last enemy being swarmed by his companions, Finrod will resist the temptation to go over there and fire point blank into the last one and casts about for tracks left by enemy squad. Where did they come from, where did the few survivors leave to? He won't pursue just yet, just find the trail.

She screams as she retaliates for the blow she received from him. She seems very keenly aware of the wall of wind in front of her, and shows no signs of moving beyond it's safety.
Having read the effects of wind wall I see no reason any of us cannot close to attack her in melee. Which is just what Kara is doing, since the drow just attacked instead of giving up
"I apoligize for my earlier actions Basil, I had thought she would surrender. It seems I was wrong."
Since I only walked closer, I think I still have enough room to charge the drow lady.
Running at the drow, Kara's fingers become silver claws and her teeth sharpen to dagger-like points as she attacks.
Charge attack with one claw, for nonlethal damage.

Greene Tanache |

Greene bowed his head, disgusted with himself for holding out hope. In all the world, that which appeared to be a monster always was. Knowing the slaughter that awaited the vile drow at the hands of Tyr's faithful guardian, Greene Tanache stepped backward into the magical darkness and slipped away.

Sir Basil de Fermer |

Basil sucks in a breath as the dagger scores his flesh....in retaliation his blade flashes out at the servant of darkness.
1d20 + 19 ⇒ (8) + 19 = 27
Damage1d10 + 14 + 2d6 ⇒ (3) + 14 + (6, 1) = 24
"You stand judged by your own actions Necromancer...go to your dark goddess and tell her the servants of Tyr remain vigilant "
If, when his turn to act comes round again, the Drow still stands he smites her again
1d20 + 19 ⇒ (8) + 19 = 271d20 + 14 ⇒ (8) + 14 = 22
Damage1d10 + 14 + 2d6 ⇒ (7) + 14 + (5, 3) = 291d10 + 14 + 2d6 ⇒ (6) + 14 + (1, 6) = 27
There is no rage no emotion involved in Basils attacks...it is a judicial execution nothing more nothing less..however when he turns from the body his face shows his distaste for what he has just done.
He looks at those who are still near him..."Life is precious...she chose to throw hers away...I take no joy in killing but sometimes there is no choice"

![]() |

Huergar hears the commotion and wonders if he could have influenced events in a different direction. Unlikely. Onyx will be disappointed. Was he planning to enchant her? Or trick her into revealing something? What dark unguessable secrets were lost to them?
He is reminded of fear deep underground long ago and he wonders, what would Az Runebreaker have done?

DM_Darkmeer |

As Kara swings at the drow in a futile attempt at striking her, Basil's blade swings in for the kill, striking the drow woman twice, strkining her down. By the time she falls from the second swing, you realize she won't be gettingback up, ever.
The recent battlefield is now callm. The silence for a moment is unsettling, save for Kane's final exhalation of vomit. The pall of darkness is llifted moments later to see Greene leaning on the fence, with a horrid scowl on his face.
At that time, Finrod pipes in that there are tracks leading away from the camp. There are two sets of footprints, each heading a different direction. One set follows the main trail (where the Drow came from), the other heads down the trail towards the direction you all are coming from.
"We should set a watch for the rest of the evening," Greene says. "We don't want any more surprises like this one in the middle of the night." He stands, walks around the house for a moment, and returns with a shovel. He walks a short distance away, and begins digging. "I see no reason not to bury them. They won't attract any scavengers this way, and I'm certain that there will be reinforcements if we don't do anything. There's two more shovels back there if anyone wants one."
Finrod:
