Use Lazarus: it auto-saves EVERY text form! link
This is a great firefox extension. It will now be one of my "always make sure this one is installed" extensions (along with Adblock, Flashblock, Autopager, and Tree-style Tab).
Thanks for bringing this one to my attention!

'Much obliged...
It practically seems made for this site :-) (and other web bulletin boards)
I configure it to only cache the text for ~2 hours or so, anything more is un-necessary.
...I actually just randomly found it when I was trying to track down some OTHER plug-in which I could no longer find, and Lazarus was listed in one of the multitudes of '10 best plug-ins' reviews.

I don't know about Tree-style Tab or Autopager, but I personally never go anywhere with Adblock, Flashblock, History Submenus and Webmail Notifier :)

WOOT WOOT!
Thanks to a posting on the front page of nuklearpower.com we broke 2000 visits in one day for the first time ever! Nuklearpower.com alone sent us almost 500 new visitors today. Thanks Brian at NuklearPower for the link!

Yes, I'm glad they're "gushing about Pathfinder". Everyone should be. Its nothing short of a work of art, given our previously troubled gaming times.
Thanks jreyst for what you're doing on the site. And, it looks like you've been improving usability/readability—always something I look for and benefit from at my game table. Thanks.

Thanks a lot for all your hard work on the site jreyst! I've been using it to make NPCs lately and noticed a little mistake.
On your creating NPCs page the NPC gear chart seems off. For example, pg 454 of the PFRPG core has a 4th basic/3rd heroic NPC at 1 650gp total wealth but your site only shows 1 200gp. It's odd because the next level is correct (2 400gp) but the one after is off again (should be 3 450gp). Maybe it's just some holdovers from the Beta.

Awesome! Looks much prettier too. I also noticed numerous links that direct me to Paizo's PRD rather than the entry on your site. Sadly I can't recall specifics but if I find any I'll note them and add them to the pile :)

Oh yes, I know there are still many links that go to the PRD. We are fixing them as time allows.
This is an excellent opportunity to remind people that this site will be greatly improved the more people there are who actively take part in fixing it. If you see something wrong, you COULD fix it yourself, very easily, with no software or web design skills needed. Its extremely easy. All I need from you is a Google ID and then I add you to the system. Then, the next time you come across something that is not working correctly, or is perhaps still in beta terms, you can log in and fix it instantly. If we had an army of people doing this the site would be perfect in no time :)
If anyone would like to help, just email me (jreyst@gmail.com). Either email me FROM a google account (gmail etc) or include a Google ID in the body or subject line of the email. I can typically have you added into the system within just a few minutes of receiving the email.

You kind of hinted that I should wait for the scripts to clean up the PRD links. Should I just clean up as I see stuff now?
Turns out the process the guy created to auto-correct the links only works on his PC due to very specific settings and configurations so yes, please feel free to fix any links you come across.

The other thing I was considering is building some 'topic' guides. That would put all the rules for a few subjects into one area. One example would be a Magic Item Creation Topic Guide. It would have all the feats, all the relevant rules (including some which are in the wizard and magic sections into one place. Another might be Two Weapon Fighting.
Basically things that you generally have to look in 2-3 different places to find. Would you let me sneak that in somewhere on your site?

Dennis - I want to make sure everyone understands. I'm not looking at this as *my* site, I'm looking at this as *the communities* site, that I just happened to start. I want those of you who are collaborators on the site to feel free to be creative in your efforts on the site. The only guiding principles I have are that if you add anything new be sure to separate it from "core" content, ie, make a new page (or section) and call it "Topic Guides" and then have subpages under it with the related sections etc. Go to town, be creative. As long as we leave the core rules and general wording how they are supposed to be, its all good.
I have already done something like this in the Bestiary section by creating a "Theme Packs" section and a "Sightseeing" section. You can see what I did at the following links:
Theme Packs
Sight-seeing
Special Terrain
House Rules
These are separate items, not in the core rules section. I think it would be great if you did the same thing. Put it under Extra's and have at it :)

I have updated "Turbo-PRD" (PDF edition) and made it available HERE.
Updates:
- Smaller font so you get more text per page.
- Somewhat improved layout.
- More bookmarks.
- A character sheet is now included (its the official Paizo one).
- This copy is digitally signed by me.
- The book is page numbered
- Pages have a faint watermarked d20pfsrd.com logo at the bottom of each page.
Come on by and get your copy, as always, for free!

Ok it looks like the initial wave of collaborators have drastically slowed down in their editing. If its due to busy schedules I can completely understand, having a full time job and 3 kids in soccer, its time consuming working on the site, which is why I am now putting out a new call for more collaborators.
If you regularly use the site http://www.d20pfsrd.com and you are not already a collaborator on the site, I could use your help. There are many dead/broken links that still need to be fixed. I am going through and correcting them as much and as fast as I can but there are enough to keep one person busy for a very long time. If the work were shared amongst several people it would result in a perfect (or as close to perfect as possible) a site that much sooner.
So with that said, you don't need to know a think about web design, html, or programming. My mother could do this with 5 minutes of instruction. If you DO have more advanced experience or training I could still use your help in order to do some of the more complex things I have in mind.
Anyway, email me at jreyst@gmail.com if you'd like to pitch in. All you need is a Google ID. Send that to me in your email and it will expedite getting you into the system.
On a related note, I am considering deactivating the accounts of those collaborators who have not logged on or posted on the messageboards in months. There's no sense having dozens of accounts when only a few people are actually doing anything.

I'm just waiting for the Bestiary. I have a bead on converting the remainder of RotRL (as I finish playing it), but right now all I've got is giants and other stuff we haven't seen yet!
Ok cool Tom. In the meantime you can feel free to fix bad links though :)

It looks like most (all?) of the Bestiary monsters are in now. Is there any plan to make a PDF file version of the Bestiary stuff? (Hope, hope.)
Oh yes, I'll probably generate a new PDF sometime soon. We're just really busy getting other stuff on the site working as best as possible.
As an FYI, in case people haven't noticed, we're also fully statting out all variant monsters only "referenced" in existing monster blocks. Meaning, there are many variants of spiders, beetles, snakes, etc, and we are fully statting them out, AS WELL as putting up stat blocks for all "summonable" and "companionable" creatures. I think the main guy handling the summonable monsters is working his way up from the lower level summon spells and I BELIEVE he said he was going to work on the 3rd level versions today if he had time.
So basically, I just wanted to wait until we had all of the monsters and everything at a more final state before we generated a new PDF.
Now comes my incessant pleading for help. If you like d20pfsrd.com and you'd like to see it get even better, please let me know. All you need is a Google ID and a desire to help. Its not terribly complicated and really we just need more bodies doing grunt work. If you want in on all this glamorous stuff then shoot me an email (AND INCLUDE A GOOGLE ID) so I can add you into the system :)
Email me at jreyst@gmail.com to get started!

Some really cool stuff today folks!
The first thing is that there's a new Monster Filter page online! You can check it out here.
That page has an embedded Google Spreadsheet that has every monster from the Bestiary and Bonus Bestiary. You can filter on different column headers, sort, etc. Some of the data isn't as clean as we'd like it but you can at least see where we're going.
The second exciting thing is that my crappy Turbo-PRD.pdf document is being retired! Why is that a good thing? Well because we've got a new and improved version on the site now, thanks to new collaborator Mike who just contacted me out of the blue tonight with some seriously fine work.
So, we now have a really nice looking PDF based on the Pathfinder Roleplaying Game Core Rulebook (ie, all of the core rules)!
But wait! There's more! Mike (the new guy) has also created a very nice PDF of the monsters from the Bestiary! I'm not sure if he has the ones from the Bonus Bestiary in there or not but you have to check these books out. They seriously put my books to shame.
So come on by and check this stuff out! While you're visiting feel free to take your shoes off and stay a while! We've got cable and fresh popcorn popping on the stove :)

Creator of the new SRD PDFs here. Just wanted to pipe in that yes, the monster PDF does have the Bonus Bestiary monsters as well.
Not entirely happy with some of the layout for a few tables in the Core Reference (mostly in the magic items chapter), but all in all, it's in a pretty usable state.
I hope to get comments and suggestions and put out a new version of the Core in the near future. Note that hyperlinks in the doc still point to Paizo's SRD and that the Core still needs an index. However, those are very big jobs and may take a while to complete, so I figured I shouldn't hold up sharing them until I finish that.
Hope people like them!
