Ash nods in assent and darts towards the entrance, her experience in battle commanding her to obey her "commanding officer". Once at her destination, the healer turns her attention to Gandel and asks, "Do you require any healing?"

Ash, if you run for the entrance you are going to provoke an Attack of Opportunity from the kobold-demon. Also, Gandel will not leave his friends in the midst of a battle.

By the way, here's the Map

Spoiler:
HP: 08/22, AC: 17(Max 21(T13,FF14), DR: 1(Water Based Critters), F:+4, R:+7, W:+2, Perc: +6, Init: +3.

"Don't run, ye gnongs! Pull back!" Suny explains, again indicating for the Kobold monster to come and take his...its...best shot at her.

Half-Elf Ranger 2

"You heard her, move. NOW!!

Gandel's shot hits the kobold creature, wounding it further. Suny then just barely hits it and then Thorn hits it again, severely wounding it.

"You're tougher than I thought! But I'll destroy you yet!" says the kobold-like being as it flees back the way it came.

Gandel sighs with relief when the kobold-demon flees. The gnome sinks to his knees, barely holding himself up with his crossbow.

"So, Ash," he asks weakly, "got any healing magic?"

Spoiler:
HP: 08/22, AC: 17(Max 21(T13,FF14), DR: 1(Water Based Critters), F:+4, R:+7, W:+2, Perc: +6, Init: +3.

Suny hurries over to her friends to offer what little help she can.

"Um, sorry fer th' yellin' an' stuff..." She blushes as she helps take the weight of Gandel. "C'mon mate, lets get you back in here under some cover." She helps carry the wounded Gnome further back into the room.

"Bloody coward. I could'a finished 'im an' saved us traipsin' all over th' place. Now we gott'a go find th' bugger." She mutters.

"Um, Ash? Ye can fix 'im, right?" Suny looks to her Elven friend.

S'pose we'd best hole up here an' sort ourselves out some what, hey?

Half-Elf Ranger 2

Has he run around a corner or does Thorn have an opportunity to shoot him in the back?

He's behind a corner.

Liberty's Edge

Ash uses cure light wounds, knowing it's probably not enough, but not wanting to channel energy again and risk healing their enemy.

Half-Elf Ranger 2

"Odds are he's setting up a trap for us while he's healing, but I want everyone back on their feet before we move."

She turns towards the unarmed Suny. "What exactly was your brillant idea dropping your weapon and calling him like that?"

Spoiler:

Suny drops her head, blond ahir falling forwads as she blushes,

"Ah, well, y'se I were gon'a hope t' entangle th' lil' bugger an' fall int'a th' tub," She flicks a thumb over her shoulder to indicate the pool of water behind her, "Then all I'd have t' do is hang on an' see how long he could hold his breath, like." A sudden thought strikes her and she spins and drops down onto her hands and knees.

"O' course, if'n this be just a wadein' pool...." She mutter to herself.

Perception:1d20 + 4 ⇒ (16) + 4 = 20

Liberty's Edge

"How do you feel?" Ash asks Gandel. "I can't cast the particular spell again today," she informs Thorn.

How many hit points did the spell heal?

Spoiler:
HP: 08/22, AC: 17(Max 21(T13,FF14), DR: 1(Water Based Critters), F:+4, R:+7, W:+2, Perc: +6, Init: +3.

As Gandel groans in Ash's care, Suny scoots over,

"He's gon'a be okay, right? C'n we help?" Suny indicates Thorn and herself, "Does extra people help wi' th' layin' on hands an' stuff?" She asks, concern evident in her voice, worry in her eyes.

Liberty's Edge

Ash looks about to say something, then she sees how truly worried Suny is and her expression softens a bit. "Moral support is very important to a patient's health. You and Mistress Thorn can help me and your comrade by making sure nothing takes us by surprise while I see what else I can do."

cure light wounds heals nine wounds of damage for you, Gandel

Suny wrote:

"Actually, yes!" Gandel fervently exclaims to Suny's question. "Well known fact! The more hands laid on the poor wounded soul the better!" he says with a mischievous grin.

Yep, with the healing magics, Gandel's back to his old self!

Gandel's expression becomes serious as he turns to Ash.

"Thank you," he says sincerely. "You saved my life."

The gnome grabs all three women in a tight hug for a moment. Releasing them, he exclaims, "Now let's get that scaly S-O-B! I'm gonna wear his head for a helmet!"

Spoiler:
HP: 08/22, AC: 17(Max 21(T13,FF14), DR: 1(Water Based Critters), F:+4, R:+7, W:+2, Perc: +6, Init: +3.

(^_^) *squee* group hug

Gandel wrote:
"Now let's get that scaly S-O-B! I'm gonna wear his head for a helmet!""

Releasing her friends Suny stands and checks her x-bow.

"Lets get serious." She growls menacingly as she stalks carefully towards the door way.

Perception:1d20 + 4 ⇒ (17) + 4 = 21

To keep an eye ut fer th' na-er do well whut's waitin' fer us out there, some where.

By th' by, how deep is th' kiddy pool anywho, master DM?

Liberty's Edge

Ash stands rather awkwardly for a moment, apparently taken quite by surprise by Gandel's embrace, then follows a bit behind Suny.

Less than an inch, it's just a puddle.

Spoiler:
HP: 08/22, AC: 17(Max 21(T13,FF14), DR: 1(Water Based Critters), F:+4, R:+7, W:+2, Perc: +6, Init: +3.

At realizing what her 'plan' would have ended up looking like, Suny blushes.

"Um, m'ybe th' next time I get me a plan? Some one bonk me on'a head so's I lose it just as quick, okeys?" She hunches her shoulders and continues to creep towards the doorway/entrance to the room.

Half-Elf Ranger 2

Thorn glances over at Suny and flashes her a momentary smile. "Will do"

Bow leveled she proceeds to the corner swinging around it in a wide step.

"If we see this bastard, remember don't close until we've sofened him up at range."

Liberty's Edge

Ash nods and draws her longbow.

Fem Elf Bard 3

Suny kneels at the corner of the corridor leading out of the room.(X-30)sighting down her x-bow for any Kobolds to shoot.

"Um, Gandel? Not to put too much a burden on ye, but ye want's t' be checkin' th' room behind, just t' make sure we've not left any shiny layin' about?" She asks softly over a shoulder.

Perception Check:1d20 + 4 ⇒ (2) + 4 = 6 For Suny to watch down the corridor.

Going back to the entrance room you see no creatures there.

Liberty's Edge

"Now, where did it go?" Ash mutters suspiciously.

Spoiler:
HP: 08/22, AC: 17(Max 21(T13,FF14), DR: 1(Water Based Critters), F:+4, R:+7, W:+2, Perc: +6, Init: +3.

Um, 'nuther looking check allowed?

Perception:1d20 + 4 ⇒ (6) + 4 = 10

"Dun't know rightly where th' lil' bugger's got to." Suny whispers peering intently off into the darkness.

There is no trace of the creature. However it seems likely that he went back to the kobold lair, considering the direction he went.

Half-Elf Ranger 2

"Alright guys, let's move forward, same setup as before, Gandel if you come across something ugly, fall back."

Spoiler:
HP: 08/22, AC: 17(Max 21(T13,FF14), DR: 1(Water Based Critters), F:+4, R:+7, W:+2, Perc: +6, Init: +3.

Suny grimly nods at Thorns' words, stands and gets ready to move on/out.

Liberty's Edge

Ash will follow. She puts her longbow back over her shoulder and carries, instead, her longsword and holy symbol.

Any tracks visible to show which way he went?

Perception Check to find tracks: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (18) + 6 = 24

Gandel leads the way, crossbow loaded and ready.

Map of the Kobold Lair

"Well, which way shall we go, ladies?" Gandel asks.

Spoiler:
HP: 08/22, AC: 17(Max 21(T13,FF14), DR: 1(Water Based Critters), F:+4, R:+7, W:+2, Perc: +6, Init: +3.
Gandel wrote:

"I'm followin' yur pert self, luv." Suny happily informs Gandel, "Yu've th' knack fer spottin' trouble, though I'd e guessin' we might head right?" She shrugs.

"There be those double doors, but that does seem to head aways t'wards th' critter we ant t' be snottin'." She finishes.

Gandel can't find any traces of the creature's passing.

Finding tracks is actually a Survival check, so you're result was actually an 18, without you're Perception bonus.

Liberty's Edge

"It might be wise to finish off our foe now," Ash remarks, completely non-comprehending of Suny's last sentence.

Gandel sighs as he surveys the entrance chamber. "Well, ladies, I guess we won't get anywhere by dancing around the problem. Let's take it to 'em!"

Gandel heads to the door on the northern wall, checking for traps (and to see if the pit trap has been re-activated).

Perception Check: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (14) + 7 = 21 (Includes the additional +1 for locating traps)

The pit trap has indeed been reactivated.

Spoiler:
HP: 08/22, AC: 17(Max 21(T13,FF14), DR: 1(Water Based Critters), F:+4, R:+7, W:+2, Perc: +6, Init: +3.

Suny looks at the door and the face Gandel pulls upon finishing his examination of said portal.

"Say, Gandel? Whut're th' odds of ye takin' said piece o' lumber of'n its hinges? Why dunt we use th' thing fer ourselves, instead o' th' Ko-boily's hidin' behind it?" She whispers then looks to Thorn.

"Um, is ye gonna be bonken me on'a head yet?" She asks innocently of her freind.

Gandel turns to Thorn and Suny. "Shall we do this like before?" he asks. "I'll open the door and then drop to the floor to disable the pit trap while you three shoot at anything in the room?"

Liberty's Edge

"Though I have a bow, should I stay to the side to provide healing if needed?" Ash asks.

You are able to disable the trap without incident. It seems the creature did not remain here.

Fem Elf Bard 3

"Okeys," Suny whispers, "In we go?"

Perception:1d20 + 4 ⇒ (18) + 4 = 22

She hefts her x-bow and prepares to look and shoot into the room before them.

Liberty's Edge

Ash follows a little ways behind.

The room is pretty much the way you left it, sans corpses. There are still bloodstains where the kobolds you slew fell however.

Half-Elf Ranger 2

Thorn squats down to determine the direction in which the bodies have been moved.

Survival1d20 + 10 ⇒ (18) + 10 = 28

"Let's see if we can pick up any signs of life either behind these double doors or down the passageway leading to the drake den," Gandel suggests.

Perception Check (Double Doors): 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (11) + 6 = 17

Perception Check (West Passage): 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (14) + 6 = 20

"I'm followin' yer lead, luv." Suny acknowledges to Gandel. ll the while her x-bow shifts as she looks to the unexplored entrances to the room.

Liberty's Edge

Ash just waits for orders.
