Actually, nobody said that they went into the room, so I will update the map accordingly. I'm assuming that Thorn is at the entrance to the room, since she scanned the contents.

Updated Map

Thorn enters the room, and steps to the side sweeping with her bow and signalling for Suny to follow her in next.

Suny nods and does so, stepping into the room and then taking an opposite side of the door way, crouching as she does so, her bladed x-bow sweeping across the room as her eyes follow.

Perception Roll:1d20 + 4 ⇒ (11) + 4 = 15

Gandel hangs back behind Ash (square V30 on MAP), keeping an eye on the passageway behind the group with crossbow ready in case screaming hordes of kobolds (or at least one or two attackers) attempt to rush the party.

As you enter the room the skeletons start moving! They stand up and brandish they're swords menacingly. Then two kobolds appear at the end of the corridor.

Roll for initiative.

"At least th' coat racks be gettin' up. Well Ash, ye asked yer question, here's yer answer, luv." Suny adds cheerfully.

Liberty's Edge

Ash turns a bit to see how close the kobolds are, hand still on her holy symbol.

I believe we keep our initiative scores for all the rounds of combat. And Ash's energy channeling would inflict 6 points of damage on all skeletons in a 30 ft radius, as well as healing any living creatures for the same amount in the same radius.

Liberty's Edge

Thanks, Gandel, for the map. It's very useful

Glad to help!

So which square do you want to move to? I'll try to update the MAP.

Move to X30 fire at skell in Y32

Updated.

Skeletons (24)

Gandel (19)

Suny (16)

Thorn (15)

??? (15)

Ash (8)

Kobold (8)

The skeletons move forward, and surround Suny and Thorn from one side.

Skeleton attacks:
1d20 + 0 ⇒ (15) + 0 = 151d6 ⇒ 31d20 + 0 ⇒ (10) + 0 = 101d6 ⇒ 41d20 + 0 ⇒ (14) + 0 = 141d6 ⇒ 51d20 + 0 ⇒ (10) + 0 = 101d6 ⇒ 41d20 + 0 ⇒ (15) + 0 = 151d6 ⇒ 41d20 + 0 ⇒ (19) + 0 = 191d6 ⇒ 3

Suny deftly dodges the skeletons swings with they're decrepit scitimars, but one slashes Thorn, injuring her (3 dmg).

Gandel shoots at one of the kobolds, but unfortunately it's armor protects it.

Suny fires at one of the skeletons, but her shot, while true does no damage to the animated skeletons.

Skeleton attacks:
1d20 + 0 ⇒ (3) + 0 = 31d6 ⇒ 21d20 + 0 ⇒ (6) + 0 = 61d6 ⇒ 41d20 + 0 ⇒ (9) + 0 = 91d6 ⇒ 1

Three of the skeletons use this opportunity to attacks Suny, but miss. Thorn steps back and fires, but misses.

Ash calls upon her holy power to strike down her undead foes.

Skeleton Saving Throws:
1d20 + 2[/dice]1d20 + 2 ⇒ (4) + 2 = 61d20 + 2 ⇒ (1) + 2 = 31d20 + 2 ⇒ (2) + 2 = 41d20 + 2 ⇒ (9) + 2 = 111d20 + 2 ⇒ (11) + 2 = 13

Only one of them survives the assault and it is badly damaged.

Finally the kobolds charge Gandel.

Kobold attacks:
1d20 + 5 ⇒ (17) + 5 = 221d6 - 1 ⇒ (6) - 1 = 5 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (1) + 5 = 61d6 - 1 ⇒ (3) - 1 = 2

One of them stabs Gandel (5 dmg). He yells out a cry of triumph.

Go cleric, go cleric :)
I'll help out Gandel when I have access to my dice

For a brief second, seeing her's and Thorn's weapons having no efect? Suny truly beleives she's about to samper off and see her ancestors. Just as her knees begin turning to jelly she feels Ash's power wash vover her and the Skeletons crumble.

"Oh Ash, luv. I could give ye such a huggin' right now." She adds almost tearfully.
Taking the amount of movement she needs to attack the last Skeleton.

"I got this 'un! You help Gandel!" She cries.

Att Roll:1d20 + 2 ⇒ (6) + 2 = 8

Dam Roll:1d6 + 1 ⇒ (6) + 1 = 7

Only too late does she realize her x-bow bayonet is as almost nearly useless as her bolts.

Um, din't Gandel hit one o' th' lil' buggers earlier? Jus askin'...

Liberty's Edge

Ash knows that she could easily destroy the last skeleton, but even with its resistances she trusts that Thorn and Suny will cope. She turns on the kobold, attacking with her longsword. Ash hopes that Gandel is well enough to keep fighting effectively. Fighters against the undead and the cleric against the beasties, she thinks dryly.

attack 1d20(12)+1=13
damage 1d8(7)+1=8
if Gandel or someone else within her reach begins dying, she will use her Sacred Touch ability to stabilize them

"I could use some help over here, when it's convenient," she calls to Thorn and Suny. Ash glances quickly at the gnome to see how injured he is.

perception check, just in case 1d20(15)+5=20

Half-Elf Ranger 2

Turning on her heel Thorn fires a shot down the hallway, her height eliciting a plunging shot at the kobold facing Ash.

1d20 + 7 ⇒ (16) + 7 = 23 1d8 + 3 ⇒ (2) + 3 = 5

Okay, if both kobolds were able to attack me, then the passageway must be 10 feet wide - I'll update the map accordingly: MAP

Gandel grunts in pain as he takes a step back (to square W30) and fires at a kobold (U30), then reloads his crossbow.

Gritting her teeth and frowning in concentration, Suny does her best against the one lone Skeleton.

"Yer gettin' in me way o' scaly-time, boy-o!" She growls.

Att Roll:1d20 + 2 ⇒ (7) + 2 = 9
Dam Roll:1d6 + 1 ⇒ (3) + 1 = 4

Five foot step to 29-Y

Failing ot hit or damage the undead before her, Suny begins to move slowy.

"If'n I cain't take ye down one way, I'll just take ye down anuther!" She mutters.

"As th' famous last words go, I got's a PLAN!"

Um, p'raps it's 'cause the Ko-boilys be small critters there Gandel?

Suny wrote:
Um, p'raps it's 'cause they be small critters there Gandel?

Nope. Even Small-size creatures can only be one creature per 5-ft square, and no two creatures of size Small or larger can end their movement in the same square. Only Very Small creatures (Fine, Diminutive, or Tiny) can have more than one creature occupying the same square.

Liberty's Edge

"I'll be glad to hear it," Ash grunts to Suny, still fighting. "How are you?" She asks Gandel, talking quickly.

I'll post tomorrow. 'Night, everyone

Skeletons (24)

Gandel (19)

Suny (16)

Thorn (15)

??? (15)

Ash (8)

Kobold (8)

Skeleton attack:
1d20 ⇒ 101d6 ⇒ 2

The last remaining skeleton tries to slash Suny, but she avoids it's clumsy strike. Gandel steps back and shoots at a kobold. It hits, and the kobold falls down and starts to bleed. Suny slams her crossbow bayonet into the last skeleton and despite it's resistance to piercing blows she apparently strikes a weak spot or something of the sort, and it crumbles into a pile of bones. Thorn fires her bow and the other kobold suddenly sprouts an arrow sticking out of it's chest.

But then a large figure is seen at the end of the corridor where the kobolds came from. It resembles a kobold, but is larger, almost the size of a human, and has dark scales.

"A good death my warriors. Tonight we will dine together in my father's house, after I finish what you started!"

???'s Attacks:
1d20 + 8 ⇒ (15) + 8 = 231d4 + 1 ⇒ (3) + 1 = 4

It finishes walking down the corridor and swings a pick at Gandel. It pierces the gnome's armor and then his flesh (4 damage).

HP: 08/22, AC: 17(Max 21(T13,FF14), DR: 1(Water Based Critters), F:+4, R:+7, W:+2, Perc: +6, Init: +3.

"hat th' barnacles buttocks is that?" Suny yells. "Okyes' next plan! Ash, kill this coat rack!" Raising her voice Suny hollers,

"Hey! Pebble BUTT! I got's yer answer right HERE!""

So saying Suny takes a five foot step to Z-30 and will spend a round ignoring the coat rack/Skeleton and aiming at the freak that put a hole in Gandel.

As she lifts her x-bow and takes careful aim.

Liberty's Edge

Ash stumbles backward, away from the combatant, pulling Gandel with her. She takes a swing at the new foe with her sword, while trying to see what it is, exactly.

Ash's religious studies give her enough knowledge to recognize this creature as a servant of some divinity, possibly even a child of one. She attacks the creature, but it avoids the attack.

Gandel (19)

Suny (16)

Thorn (15)

Kobold Demigod (15)

Ash (8)

Note that demigods are not always "epic-level" threats in this setting. Nymphs, for instance are demigods. Furthermore, this one has been weakened even further by a botched summoning.

Liberty's Edge

what state is Gandel in?

1 hit point I think.

Half-Elf Ranger 2

Thorn launches another shot, this time firing at the armored kobold champion. "C'mon you bastard! I'll kill you myself!"

1d20 + 7 ⇒ (15) + 7 = 22 1d8 + 3 ⇒ (2) + 3 = 5

"Ash get Gandel back here behind me, Suny cover them!"

Gandel is spun around and knocked back a step by the demonic kobold's powerful blow (5-ft step back to X32).

The staggered gnome shakily raises his crossbow and sights down the shaft at the fiend. Hey Scaley! Yo' Mama's a knock-off handbag and a cheap of pair of shoes!" he quips, coughing up blood as he fires.

Gandel hits the monster square in the chest with a crossbow bolt and it howls in pain. "You'll pay for that gnome!" it says. Suny shoots the beast in the arm and Thorn in the shoulder. Ash swings at the creature, but it dodges her shot. It is wounded, but still up.

The kobold creature swings it's pick at Ash. She is injured by the piercing blow (4 damage). It also starts healing some of it's wounds.
