On the subject of editions, I'm curious as to if there are any other folks here who are buy 4E books to reverse engineer the mechanics for Pathfinder. I hiope I'm not the only one.

I refuse to mention a quantitive value. Don't want to raise eyebrows at home. I'll be asked why I don't spend the money instead on toys for her. :P

Which part of AZ? My mom has an old friend in the 'burbs of Phoenix.

North east of Phoenix but not by too much. Scottsdale.

Ahhhh... that makes sense. Never been to AZ; always want to check it out someday. Only been past the Mississippi twice and that was N'Awlins. Mardi Gras is definitely OTT.

My first duty assignment as a 2Lt in the Air Force was in Biloxi MS for training. It happened to fall around Mardi Gras time. I had a lot of fun, but not as much fun as a young lady in our group who tried very hard to get a lot of beads.

Hamburger spoiled, botulism, or freezer burn?

Spoiled. It seems one of the children decided that they wanted to tamper with the fridge temp settings. Had to toss a couple things out along with the burger. Oh well. There's enough burritos to feed the little ones, but I'll have to wait for the wife to get home to eat dinner. Teach me to put off grocery shopping. lol.

Won a trip through work to a club just south of Cancun and then went on a bus trip to the ruins of Tulum. Was a blast. The Spanish women on tour in thier barely there bikinis was nice too!

David Fryer has been a maniac with the 4E dragon conversions. :)

There are others out there that do that. If I ever pick up any, it would be at HPB on a whim for fluff. I do pick up other games with hopes of converting over to Pathfinder (I'd love to do that for Dark Heresy, for instance).... Which is why I want to see a Pathfinder Modern/SciFi from anyone who's listening.

But I may take a chance when WotC releases Dark Sun, though. It is tempting.

What?
That reminds me; I wanted to get a piece of paper that said 'Not Suitable for 4th edition" and have it in the dog's mouth, but I'm really not into edition wars. It would have been humorous nonetheless.

I would have enjoyed seeing that. Not that I hate the game mind you, just not my game. :)

I noticed that much. I suck when it comes to creating monsters. Races, Classes, Feats & Spells are more my forté.

WotC has my August 2010 spending money held at gunpoint.

I kinda got into an unplanned jam when I was down there the 2nd time. But that's a story for another snowy day. :)

I'm not into the edition wars either. This thread is a good place to make a comment like this and have everyone (I hope) take it as a goofy comment, and not spark flames and bile and venom. :)

You do the grocery shopping too? Unless it's a Kroger (regional supermarket) where she comes along, it's up to me when it involves a Walmart or a Meijer.

Ditto. Pathfinder all the way for for me. I'lm only buying 4E products that I'll absolutely need should I ever join a group. And should that group be playing 4E, I won't turn away, playing 4E will be better than not playing anything.

Will do. Scottsdale rings a bell. Mom's friend is located @ Surpise. Just sent out an Xmas card to her today.

Loves me some latin women. But I treasure my italian cupcake more. :P That reminds me; my old man's last year in the Air Force before he was required to retire (@ 60), he had the choice of going to the only continent he hasn't visited (Antarctica) or Rio. He chose the latter and had a layover as the plane needed repaired. Told me about those Brazilian women. Saw some of the photos. Hoo boy. Makes N'Awlin's Mardi Gras out to be amateur night.

We normally do it together, but we have this strange addiction to eachother. So we sometimes put off things that are not imediate urgencies to sit and talk. That would be why I am often up at 3am even when I have to be up at 6am.

You know the moment I do that, I'll jinx myself and someone will come in out of the blue and start spewing molotov warfare. :P

Not me; I'm just plain lazy. :P And she'd likely be asleep at 3am 99 out of a 100.

I'm really glad the kids are being good. I set the oven temp, but then forgot to turn the damn thing on. :/
