Sometimes I wonder if there's more activity happening than I'm actually seeing. I've been FB resistant thus far. And everyone can't be either camping or living up the party on a Friday in RL. Got to budget for gaming gear you know. ;)

It all depends on your etwork of friends and how much they care about what you have to say. IRL I only have two close friends, which are both on FB but aren't into gaming as much as I am. Thus my network is more full of gamers from here and others that I knew from enworld. And not a whole lot of them have too much to say about my musings.

I've been seeing that all over the thread. What the heck is it supposed to mean?

taig wrote:

I think there's some chatting that goes on through FB and through Skype. I don't know if it's all that good/juicy, but I don't participate. :)

Probably better if I don't. I was resistant to even posting, but decided to make myself more acquainted. Did a lot of chatting back in the early to mid '90's on the local BBS scenes and early stages of the Internet when I was younger. Does great wonders for your typing speed when you're focused!

It's another form of ghost posting, but setting yourself a bookmark to track later since this thread moves so damn quick. Some may also do it and tag it as a favorite. Call it an alternative to RSS feeds.

It's usually so someone can start at that point in the thread to catch up with the posts. After so many new posts to the thread (somewhere around 70-80), the messageboard software doesn't tell give you an option to see the new posts. If you put in a "bookmark" you can go to your own posts, find the bookmark, and start reading from there.

Edit: Ninja'd by Urizen. :)

And here I was thinking that people replied to say 'ghost post' in order to get past new posts that don't show up when the page is rfreshed.

Or they can't find their way back.

Your response was informative as well.

Me neither, but I have a fairly sizeable collection of Blu-Ray titles.

I'll be getting a new TV fairly soon with Sony's flagship Blu-Ray player in the first quarter of the new year.

Blu-Ray collection:

Army of Darkness (Screwhead Edition)
Avengers: Ultimate Collection
Blade Runner
Bolt
Catwoman
Eagle Eye
Highlander: Season 1
Journey to the Center of the Earth [2008, Brendan Fraser]
Jumper
Matrix (Ultimate Collection Trilogy)
Red Dwarf: Back to Earth
Star Trek: The Original Series – Season 1
Star Trek: The Original Series – Season 2
Star Trek: The Original Series – Season 3
Star Trek [2009]
Terminator 2: Judgment Day
Top Gun
X-Men Origins: Wolverine

:/ didn't win a thing this year, I think my luck is all used up.

Morning CJ. I am totally wiped today. Gotta go back to bed once my puppies finish running about ... *YAWN*

I should not be up. I should be able to sleep in. Why I AM UP I don't know. I will be going back and trying to sleep for an hour or so before I do have to be up.

I skipped about 3 pages.....too tired to read. Did I miss anything?

Well, Drazek, Bethany, Swire, Merle and Issac all decided to check out Shadowknave's inn room for clues while Karrin, Ekuur, Nari and Justin chatted up the ogre bartender Trunfeld Three Teeth. Unfortunately, the Harmonium and the Fated decided at that moment to come looking as well! Thanks to a large window and a hasty exit they managed not to get scragged and Karrin ... oh wait, that's my PbP ...

As you can see, I really need to get back to bed too :/

Because you, like Patrick and myself, are on "autowake"? It doesn't matter when I go to bed, I always seem to be up before 8. :(

Lord knows I tried to stay asleep. I went to bed at 2am last nite :/

Good morning, tired FaWTL!!!ites.

Our puppy woke us up at 3 because she wanted to go outside, but there was snow, so she decided my daughter's carpet was the best place to go.

Get some rest, Patrick and Moorluck.

Sorry you didn't win anything at your office Christmas party, CJ. I hope you had fun otherwise.

Your PbPs sound fun. I'll have to join one when you get an opening (if you'll have me, that is). :)

I'll put you on my alternates list. I have drop outs all the time, so I'm sure I can squeeze you in somewhere ;)

Pretty good. The lil' girl just came out to the couch to cuddle with me, but other than that the house is nice and quiet. I must confess to liking being up before everyone else in the house.

And how about you? Other than the puppy decorating your daughters carpet that is.

I agree with you about getting up before everyone. My wife gets up first almost all the time, though.

Other than the puppy, my day is going well. I'm happy for the break that I have coming up--I only work on Tuesday this week. I'll be taking some of that time to do some last minute Christmas shopping for my family. I can go in the morning, when there are fewer people out there.

Do you have any plans for the weekend?

How'd you guys do in the snow department down there?

The Exchange

No big plans for the weekend, all the shopping is done, and nobody needs me to fix anything so I can relax, I might work on Pathfinderizing the old adventure Rahasia for my game though. :)

As for the snow? None. Just 19 hrs straight of cold wet rain... I'd prefer the gorram snow really. :/

Unfortunately this is not true for me. Most days I could sleep until noon without a problem. I just popped up. I should have remained so. I went back to bed and now I am more tired then before. It is going to be a long day at work. ~sigh

Yeah, I'm back to bed meself. See you guys in the pm ...

Rahasia?
